  6. Except it really isn't. Think about all the unnecessary crap we all buy this just gun related. Does anyone really need 14 handguns or the latest and greatest master blaster? I don't think so and I personally would much rather have training. My training budget got shot to crap over the summer when I decided I "needed" an AK pistol. My point is instead of sitting on a pile of guns, ammo, and mags that we don't use why not just downsize or buy less and get some training. Heck I'm about out of fun money for the next year but I'm still gonna be throwing money towards a rifle class. No one says you have to spend $500-$1000 dollars on a class either. There are many options out there and as long as they come from a competent instructor that's all that matters. Don't want to dive too far into the whole instructor thing and schools of thought. 14. Getting training is like going to drivers ed. Is it expensive? Hell yes but it's well worth it. Last time I checked 500-1000 is a lot cheaper than being dead or on death's door. By the state dictating the minimum standard it means that the course is taught just to meet those minimums. No one should want to be just good enough. That's my two cents. 15. I have been curious about this. Does anyone have any real world experience or reports of the 5.7x28? The only place I could think it would have been used is at the Fort Hood shooting. Such a light round that goes so fast should make a nasty wound but I don't think that what civilians have available would have the expansion and penetration necessary to have it be an effective self defense round. 16. Anyone who thinks that the course to receive your permit is training is sorely mistaken. Sent from my XT1585 using Tapatalk
  17. I'll take a rifle if I want power. If I can't get it done with a Glock 19 and 33 rounds of Speer Gold Dot and a Shield 9 with 16 rounds I'm in a world of hurt. Penetration leads to blood loss and dropping blood pressure which are the things that cause people to stop when shot with handguns. Quicker follow up shots and equal performance make 9mm a no brainer. It's not like we are using FMJ or RNL. Sent from my XT1585 using Tapatalk
  18. Got three does tonight with my SLR 107. Wanted to get pictures but it was too dark. The first two were DOA and I had to trail the third one for about 150 yards. Hornady SST is now my go to load for my AK. Sent from my XT1585 using Tapatalk
