  1. No I haven't. I'll let everyone know what I thought during and after the class.
  2. Any decent place in Clarksville to get MREs? Where can I find one of those stoves?
  3. I'll just get something that comes with a mount that cowitnesses my FS from the factory. I would be interested in buying a PRO from someone on the site but doubt anyone will want to part with one.
  4. I think I'll have a good start on a bag now. Now I just have to keep it light. What about an Emberlit or similar stove? And food: MRE vs freeze dried? Is there any reason besides the expiration date that I shouldn't go with MREs?
  5. It may be but I'm so pissed off that in my mind I am perfectly OK with returning it and buying something that will work out of the box. I appreciate the suggestion but I will just get my money back.
  6. So I ordered an Aimpoint Comp C3. It finally came in and I was rather excited for it since I had been waiting about a year to purchase one. So I open the package and come out to find that 1) the mount it shipped with is too low and 2) the optic doesn't work. I decided to return the Comp C3 and get my money back. I will now be waiting for the refund and I will be purchasing an Aimpoint PRO. I may have had a moment of being mesmerized by a shiny object but I swore that the amount would have cleared the A2 front sight. I guess it doesn't matter now though for the C3 will be in the mail tomorrow being returned. I did debate cutting the front sight off but then I realized I would have had to put more money into a 467 dollar purchase and I also did not want to buy another mount. I guess I know why this model was discontinued.
  7. Has anyone else signed up for a class here? I'll be taking Pistol I on June 6-7. From everything I've seen of Reid on YouTube, he seems to be a good guy. I've always wanted to take a class from him. I know I'm looking forward to the class.
  8. Everything that has been mentioned I've considered. I guess I just forgot to put them on my list. I don't want a bunch of weight so I'm looking to keep it pretty simple.
  9. I am finally going to get around to building one of these. When I say building I really mean piecing one together as I find time and money. What exactly do I need in here? I know the first thing that I need is a good bag. I have one already but I need some input on what should go in it.   I am thinking that I need a way to filter water, water containers, food, ways to make fire, changes of clothes, socks, a pair of boots, bedroll, sleeping bag, ammo, and magazines. This is all that is coming to mind right now. Pictures of your bag and what is in it would be greatly appreciated.
  10. I have still not seen any of these in person. Has anyone seem them around and if so what were they running?
  11. Well I already started on my paperwork last night.
  12. Based on my understanding I can build or buy an NFA item from an individual before turning 21. But I'll continue to look into it. I haven't found any state law that says I can't.
  13. Here a what I did find. http://3gn.ar15.com/archive/topic.html?b=6&f=17&t=319777
  14. Out of curiosity do you have to be 21 to fill out a Form 1 in Tennessee? I understand what the NFA says but I didn't know if TN state law would prevent me from having an SBR when under 21. I hope this makes sense. I'm just looking for answers.
  15. How much does it change the recoil impulse of the 40 S&W? I can't imagine any 40 being pleasant to shoot.
  16. How does it compare to the VP9?
  17. I don't think I received a pass but I could have been wrong. I've got everything at home. I'll have to check it out when I get home.
  18. Got mine this past week. I didn't think I'd ever get it. I hear it is unnecessary to have done this from those that have attended previous meetings.
  19. Again not impressed. They won't make a single stack 9mm until the Glock 42 stops selling like hot cakes.
