Plus safety / security for when I'm at work / out of town.

This really jumped out at me.

While you're at work or out of town will your wife be able to care for the dog, as in feeding, watering and letting it in and out ?

Another concern would be if your wife needed help while you were gone. How aggressive would the dog be toward strangers ( police or Emt's ) coming to your wife's aid ?

  2. For a handgun, I don't think you could go wrong with a S&W model 422, 622 or 2206 if you can find one. Because of the barrel configuration you can still use the original sights. There is already an adapter that you can get for $25 or $30 bucks.

  3. Just my opinion but I would stay away from Guns and Ammo. I've had friends who have bad experiences there in the past.

The pawn shop, Accent guns and loans, right across from Guns and ammo has a full time, full service gunsmith. 901-327-8117

There's also Michael Wilder who has a good reputation  901-260-6030

I fished the surf in the Outer Banks last week.  Water was still right at 70F, but good redfish bite and about all the whiting you could want to keep the kids busy.

My 12 year old has a formula.  She says one whiting equals three fish tacos.  We like fish tacos.

My wife was from Roanoke Island and we used to go back there every year for at least a couple of weeks. Sometimes I would leave her and the girls there and go back to pick them up a couple of weeks later.

We didn't fish with rod and reels but the whole family was in the fishing and seafood business. We would go out shrimping, clamming, mullet netting ( they only talked me into that once ) and harvested oysters. We also had one nephew that ran crab pots so we lived on a seafood diet while we were there. Normally brought home 50 - 60 pounds of shrimp and some soft shelled crabs when we came back home to Tn.

  5. I've got a neighbor that uses one of these and I am really impressed by the coverage he gets with it.

As for myself, I finally figured out that if you water your lawn the grass will grow, then you have to mow so..................................... whistle.gif

Yeah, TGO is the only "social media" I can handle, but maybe that's just because I ban anyone I don't agree with.

Well, joking aside, I simply wish people could reasonably discuss things like this, because they are important topics.

I started to respond to this when it was first posted but decided to wait and choose my words carefully so I wouldn't get banned ( Also joking ) icon-smile-1.gif

I too, wish we could just discuss things. But I believe that any serious topic which has two drastically different opinions will eventually lead to put-downs, finger pointing and name calling. I also believe that every person has a right to their opinion and the right to express it ( just my opinion ).  My problem is with those who believe that their opinion is the only one that is right or the only one that matters and has this overwhelming compulsion to prove their point.

The Covid test/vaccines/masks, abortion and even gun control are examples of these types of topics. Everyone has an opinion and all the pushing, name calling and derogatory remarks are not going to change their minds.

Gun control is a good example since most of us, at least I hope so, are on the same side. I don't understand the reasoning of the gun control people but they probably have no doubt that their way of thinking is right. I do though, have respect for their right to their beliefs and long as they don't try to push their way of thinking on me I have no problem with them. The same with any other subject, if your opinion is different than mine, I'm not going to try to change your mind or argue with you but will just let it slide because it's just not that important to me.

I just might be the only one here that misses the political threads.  Not because of the name calling and all of that but it helped present a picture of a persons personality. Seeing how they responded to different statements or situations said a lot about a person.  Just from those threads I could most likely figure out who I could befriend and those I wouldn't trust very far.

    Well.....if I get banned, it's been fun.  thumb-up.gif

  7.  I don't like this. It looks like Tennessee could be getting a lot of rain from this in the middle of next week.

Ida could make landfall as a Category 4 hurricane on Sunday when it hits the Gulf Coast with maximum winds of 140 mph, according to the latest forecast from the National Hurricane Center.

Projected to become a Category 4 hurricane, the storm would strike 16 years to the day since Hurricane Katrina made landfall there as a Category 3 storm with 125 mph winds near the riverside community of Buras in Plaquemines Parish.
