It's very rare for me to come to the defense of Memphis but in this case it's better to have had it and not use it than the other way around.

I know this applies to New York but where's Hagerty ???
Sen. Ted Cruz and two dozen Senate Republicans, including Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, filed an amicus brief Tuesday in a Second Amendment case the Supreme Court is set to hear this fall, arguing that New York gun law violates the right to bear arms under the Constitution.
Cruz and McConnell were joined by GOP Sens. John Barrasso, Marsha Blackburn, John Boozman, Mike Braun, John Cornyn, Tom Cotton, Kevin Cramer, Mike Crapo, Steve Daines, Josh Hawley, John Hoeven, Cindy Hyde-Smith, Jim Inhofe, Ron Johnson, James Lankford, Mike Lee, Cynthia Lummis, Roger Marshall, Jerry Moran, Jim Risch, Marco Rubio, Rick Scott, and Thom Tillis in their brief.

Well, I just finished the second one (One Year After) and it didn't leave me feeling all warm and fuzzy, especially when they started considering anyone that spoke up against the Federal Government as a terrorist. I think if I'd read these when they first came out I'd probably have a different viewpoint of them.
I agree, the first was better than the second one but it moved at a "faster pace". The second one spent too much time on each situation or action.
I have to give my eyes a rest before I start The Final Day.

I might be late to the party but has anyone else read it. I'd heard people talking about it when it first came out but at the time, didn't really have time to sit and get engrossed in a book.
Recent events convinced me to finally read it and it was down right scary. Anyone with any understanding of human nature could see how things in the book are very realistic.
I've got the other two of the trilogy and am hoping they are as good.

A three-judge panel for the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit ruled Tuesday that the federal ban against 18-20-year-olds buying handguns is unconstitutional.

I've read multiple stories now about people who didn't want the vaccine, got COVID, and subsequently died.
That make sense to me.... It would be near impossible to write stories about people who didn't get the vaccine, didn't get COVID and didn't die from it. No one knows who they are

One of those names you can't remember but a face you can't forget. Remarkable unknown accomplishments at link.

Actually, the only wieners I buy anymore come in packages of 8 (Nathan's) but like hipower, growing up it was normally bread instead of buns. A pack of buns and a loaf of bread cost about the same and there wasn't any money to waste.

I know this is borderline political but I'll post it anyway. Mods, feel free to delete.
"Now we need to go community by community, neighborhood by neighborhood and often times door-to-door- literally knocking on doors, to get help to the remaining people protected from the virus," Biden said.

I grew up in NE Oklahoma and all the BBQ around there was beef, even over in Tulsa. I didn't realize people BBQ'd anything else until I joined the Navy.
BTW, most of our cattle ranches were Angus so I couldn't get too excited when everyone started fawning over Angus beef.

I just noticed this over on the right hand side of the home page and for the life of me, can't figure out what was going on that had this many people on line at the same time. Any ideas ??
