  1. I've had an Elcan specter, viper pst 2 1-6, acog, eo tech, Swarovski z3, all on my ar at some point and right now Im running a holosun and it's working really well. It's really a safe queen at this point so I like that it has the great battery life and shake awake mode. It's held zero every time I do bring it out. I've only had it maybe 4 months so we'll see about longevity but I don't see any reason it won't last.
  2. It’ll be enough to shoot with out hearing protection but that’s about it unless you go sub sonic but then you may run into bullet expansion issues. I hunt with my 6.8 AR suppressed 100% of the time due to the likleyhood of multiple shots on hogs but it’s an sbr and is balanced nicely with an OAL barrel length of about 17”. That short kimber may balance and Not feel awkward which maybe the ticket but definitely smart to try before you buy. I tried it and decided to wear hear pro when I go with my bolt guns
  3. 7mm-08 is a great round too . Federal 140 or hornady 139, whichever you like and go shootin. Love my a bolt in 7-08 pops has a ctr and I’ve shot the Chassis version. My next gun will be a Tikka
  4. I’ve heard of never shooting a buck out of a vehicle before but I’ve never heard that you can’t have buckshot.
  5. picked up my dead air mask 22 yesterday. Is one of those a 22? I have no idea what I'm going to put mine on
  6. I do it too! That $20 does a lot and it adds up. I’ve been fortunate to get to know some patients that are alive today because of st Jude. A former patient introduced me to my wife . It’s an amazing place and the only charity I feel comfortable promoting because I know they use the money for research rather than BS and my friend’s 4 year old is still with us today because of st Jude. Anyways good luck with the transfer!
  7. Wilson bank and trust supports St Jude So they are awesome!
  8. Anyone in nashville good at rebluing a rifle? I've got a browning a bolt rifle that could use some TLC going in and out of the woods and truck through the years. I could probably use the touch up stuff myself but taking it to a pro might have better results.

    CMP 1911’s

I'll inherit my grandfather's service 1911 but may throw in a packet for one of these. If I get one great, if not o well! I'm debating a m1 special or service grade at the moment. I sold my garand a couple months back and I'm regretting it
  10. both of my SBR's are Anderson lowers. I've fortunately cured my AR building addiction but it was costly and lasted a couple years
  11. I have two SBR'd lowers and one has a 6.8 11.5 barrel that shoots lights outs. It made hunting kinda boring so I went to using a garand for hogs and just got a model 70 super grade in 30-06 that I can't wait to get my scope back from Swarovski so I can get it dialed in for next year. AR's work really well but kinda made things not as fun. Sold my garand to a great guy here but I'll get another one soon. I enjoyed shooting the garand a lot.
  12. I was in bellshire hardware a couple days ago and they had them but should call ahead now I guess
  13. Get a 12gauge . If you've never hunted turkey's, getting them close enough to use something smaller will be tough. There was a stoeger 12 for sale here that someone was asking $250 for that would have been perfect.
  14. Tested My ####ty p320 with the new sig upgraded trigger and it shot tight groups today. I was low and left when I sped up the shots but that’s on me. Royal Range had a 1911 Tacops id love to get my hands on
  15. Just got my 320 back from the upgrade about 10 mins ago. Feels pretty good to me and no issues pre upgrade. I don't expect any tomorrow when I try it out
  16. I'm looking for something like this below. It's velcro backed with straps that can hold a rifle or anything really. I found one and it sticks to the back of my gun safe and keeps the gun tight against the back of the wall of the safe. I don't know where I got the one I have but the ones below are $38. Surely there is something out there cheaper. I've tried googling all sort of things and can't find the velcro backed straps (besides the ones below) The case in the photo is another example of the straps I'm talking about
  17. Yeah, AL really gets going in Jan. OCT it's hot as hell and bow only but NOV is ok, Dec it gets hot, and this past weekend until the end of the season are prime time where I am. I'd like to find a place in TN to go instead of having to drive 4 hours to hunt for the weekend.
  18. Dang khar man i hope I didn’t come off as that dumb when we met ! Hah just kidding but yes, I hunt down in AL which is great because the season goes into feb now and for us the rut is just starting
  19. Shot this nasty hog with the garand 2 weeks ago. One shot and DRT 240 pounds
  20. Sent in my p320 today! We'll see what happens when it gets back. I shot a sig 1911 the other day and it was making me wish I had a 1911 again
  21. Range report asap please! I’m waiting on my shipping label buf still not sure of what to do!
  22. Had all three . Love my p320 sold the others . Trigger is far better imo . Extremely easy to take apart go shoot em
  23. I had a 6.5 in another rifle and loved it. Due to paying for a wedding it had to go but I liked it over the 308 . I smoked some deer and hogs with it along with taking some long range shots
