  1. Shot this nasty hog with the garand 2 weeks ago. One shot and DRT 240 pounds
  2. Sent in my p320 today! We'll see what happens when it gets back. I shot a sig 1911 the other day and it was making me wish I had a 1911 again
  3. Range report asap please! I’m waiting on my shipping label buf still not sure of what to do!
  4. Had all three . Love my p320 sold the others . Trigger is far better imo . Extremely easy to take apart go shoot em
  5. I had a 6.5 in another rifle and loved it. Due to paying for a wedding it had to go but I liked it over the 308 . I smoked some deer and hogs with it along with taking some long range shots
  6. Someone had a 243 for sale but I'm not sure why anyone wouldn't just get the 6.5 creedmoor
  7. Try federal fusion rounds . Mine feeds those fine and it shoots great. I'm going to take mine hunting this year and tried several rounds. Mine liked the fusion the best I've got the Schuster and garand gear plugs. Haven't installed the Schuster but will do it when I have time

    Sti 1911

went and held the STI . Didn't make me want to buy it. Ended up leaving with a 10/22 takedown with scope from guns and leather

    Sti 1911

Thanks! exactly what I was looking to hear

    Sti 1911

Anyone here got one ? Someone recommended them to me and now guns and leather has some in stock. They are expensive but was wondering if they justified the cost. I shoot my $450 p320 preeettttyy good
  11. Wondering if it's worth sending mine in. I've had a revolver fall out of my holster climbing out of a tree stand but these days I have much better holsters.
  12. You can kill hogs with anything . I've killed them with buckshot, 223, 7mm-08, 6.5 creedmoor, 270,6.8, 300 blk out ,308 ,30-06, .45 , bow and arrow, k-bar in MS 6.8 is my favorite . If I hear them in the woods I b-line straight to them.
  13. Anyone have one and have any thoughts? Not sure why it's caught my eye and seems like the only reason to get one would be to SBR it. I have SBR's in 223 and 6.8 so I don't have any reason to get one. Probably just looks cool is why I'm looking at it.
  14. What kind of stock is that? I put a nice zeiss on my savage m11 (short action) but I hate how the grip is. I'm not worried about how flimsy the stock feels as more that it's not comfortable to old. Seems like there are tons of options for long actions but not as many for short
  15. Cool thanks for the info. This was a package deal and I lent the 6.5 to a friend who's not a shooter or hunter this weekend while we were deer hunting in AL. I sat with him and He shot a doe at 210 yards. I was convinced the scope and rifle were fine after that. He only shoots a gun maybe 4 shots a year if that. This nikon on the savage hunter package is pretty gizmo free and I'm impressed for the price. I'll upgrade it at some point but know now it's not urgent. The rings don't look that great however. I normally am one to not buy cheaper scopes. I've got a couple swarovski's and the benefit of great glass is important to me. I know those scopes are going to hold their zero and just check the rifles before the season and they haven't let me down yet. Plus you can see so well when the light starts to fade.
  16. If anyone sees a S&W 686 4" barrel anywhere let me know. Seems like they are sold out everywhere
  17. I picked up the model 11 hunting package in 6.5 creedmoor. The rifle shoots lights out and out and I love the 6.5 on deer and hogs. Hornady 129 is great and the fusion is good too for ammo. Ive never had a budget scope on a rifle so for now I've got the Nikon 3-9x40 that came with it so I'm still nervous about it not keeping zero but so far it's been fine. Any reason to keep worrying that the scope won't hold zero? I usually have Zeiss, leupold, or Swarovski and those are rock solid.
  18. By registered I meant it was bought legally through a dealer.
  19. Any reason not to get the 686 with seven rounds over the 6 round wheel?
  20. Dad would like to give me a pistol but I'm a TN resident and he's an Al resident . Do y'all know any dealers in the nashville area that would do the ffl transfer if he brought the gun up next time he visits nash? if that's the legal thing to do I'll call around and ask myself but what I guess I'm really asking is that the proper way to transfer the gun into my name
  21. is there a benefit to side charging?

    m1 garand

I'll call the Anniston shop and see if they have any in stock . If they do I'll probably head down there and thanks for the advice!
