  1. If that isn't spoken for I can definitely use it. We train church and school safety teams and I'm always short dummy guns. I totally forgot about this thread. I have a couple things I need to put on here. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. I did 2 at On Target YEARS ago and they did a great job. Full disclosure, Sean did all the paperwork and he is now at Nashville Armory on Harding place in south Nashville. I have had him do a few transfers there as well if you're willing to drive. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. There was almost 1/8 of an inch of clearance on the corner. Thanks for all the options though. Great info. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Well y'all, I was way off on my guesstimate. The way that the 870 choke screws in it sticks out further than the crio choke on the Benelli. I got my barrel back and everything had more than enough room. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. Thanks. I just shipped my barrel off yesterday so I'll have a for sure answer if I need to shave it down in a few weeks. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. Thanks. I checked their website but they didn't have one on there. I emailed them...I won't hold my breath on a response, I don't think he responded to my last email about 15 months ago about finding one in stock. I've been looking for one of those guys for about 2 years now with no luck. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. Very generous offer. I fancy myself a trigger puller, not a trigger installer. I'm not sure I would trust myself to do that on a barrel that would be very difficult to replace and certainly not cheap. I think I found a guy to do it for me. I'll keep y'all posted.
  8. Y'all have fun. I was cold trying to get the smoker started to put a brisket on this morning. Wind south of Nashville was brutal this morning. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. They could initially, but it wouldn't last. This is simple industry economics. Right now there is a balance with supply and demand. If they take them off the NFA list, there will be a very short period (probably a year) where the supply will not meet the demand. Some short sighted companies will spike the prices as the demand curve shifts up. However, there is a very low barrier of entry into the market and other companies that do similar work will realize that the product is relatively cheap to create and since there is not room for much innovation in the future it would not be hard for a company to recreate the product. Once those low barriers of entry allow more competition, the supply line slides down and eventually makes for a more competitive industry, requiring manufacturers to either make a better product, make them cheaper for the consumer, or both. And those companies that spike the prices will lose customer loyalty due to the fact they temporarily screwed their customers (ex. Cheaper Than Dirt did this with AR mags and 22lr rounds during panic, and lost a lot of revenue in the long run.) I think we will absolutely see more companies taking this on, more quality products at better pricing, better customer service, better mounts, etc.in order for the companies to survive in the industry. And nobody will be paying Advanced Armament $75 for a piston or $150 for a BRAKEOUT comp.
  10. About as well as you would expect. At 15 feet that thing has a spread like you wouldn't believe. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. Cue the panic of anyone who has sold this guy a gun in the past 6 months in 3, 2, 1... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. I'll give him a call. This one is a 10 inch barrel so it's extremely thick, not a fixed choke barrel like on an older shotgun. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. I have a Remington 870 barrel that is unthreaded and I need a choke tube put in it. Anyone had this done here in Tennessee or period that you would recommend? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. I bought a Hahn 8 oz buffer. Last of the parts came in yesterday. Once we pick a cerakote color I'll take it in. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. 1) The only thing my G19 has ever had an issue with is Freedom Munitions reloads and those were bad primers. I had 1k rounds and finally burned through them. Great for failure drills but never again. 2) bud I've shot ammo my grand dad bought before going to war. When I go to his house he always asks me to burn through it. Mostly rifle cartridges. Most of it was fine. A few bad rounds here and there. Dry and climate controlled for the most part. The only thing I've had an issue with is shotgun shells. Plastic gets old and starts cracking cause it's been jostled around and improperly taken care of... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. Damn y'all I stepped out to go to a wedding for a minute. This escalated quickly Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. So many questions unanswered. I looked at a few the other day and thought, "I should ask to put a few on layaway just on the off chance it gets signed and then I can just walk in and pick them up." But who knows what it would look like. I only have sbrs and a smg in jail right now so it does me no good for release. But I highly doubt the ATF could get their $h!t together to get the form 4s for cans out of their system without royally screwing up all the other stuff in queue. I also would assume that means you don't have to roll around with your paperwork everywhere you go. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. Yeah, their website said I was going to need probably a 10 oz, that's why it was so expensive. The gun is being built to pretty much run a can on it all the time.
  19. WHOA, $150 for a buffer? The boys at heavy buffers are proud of there stuff!!
  20. So I recently built an AR-9 and bought a dedicated AR-9 buffer for it since apparently it needs to be heavier to avoid wear and tear compared to a standard AR-15 buffer. Long story short, my dad saw my 9mm and wanted a 45 version. So I just ordered everything he will need but I'm not sure which buffer weight to use. It's a Quarter Circle 10 dedicated Glock style lower and upper combo. Would a 9mm buffer work or is there a specialized weighted tube I should use?
  21. I don't know. This can isn't like anything I have worked with so far...I don't know if you're familiar with the Salvo but it's basically a choke tube that has a connector on the end to screw to the can. I was wondering it it was possible to just not thread the barrel all the way in but all that is way above my pay grade. And I only get one opportunity to thread it so I don't want to go on a hunch. 22. You may be right. That thought had crossed my mind. I did some looking and saw these. http://dlaskarms.com/collections/shotgun-parts/products/remington-870-magazine-happy-caps I couldn't find any reviews. I think they have a flat black one without anything engraved in it. But it looks a little flimsy. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. I was searching for someone to thread my AOW so I can put my Salvo 12 on. But as I was putting on the new forgrip i realized that this may be a problem. My end cap is longer than the end of the barrel. So I need a thinner flush end cap for a Remington 870. Does anyone know of a company that makes a shorter end cap? Also if anyone knows a machinist in middle Tennessee that can thread a choke in my barrel I am all ears. Sorry for the crappy pics. I was in the middle of a build and got distracted. 24. I think I"m gonna pull the trigger so to speak on one today, thanks for the info!
  25. It's 10 inches. I don't know what it is about magpul furniture on a shotgun, I am just not a fan. I've got it on all of my AR platforms, but AKs and shotguns...just not my style I guess.
