  1. This is another social media giveaway but the rifle is sweet. I did notice on the youtube sign in option it asks if they can have permission to manage(didn't understand how this works?) videos so I went via email way of signing in. These types of contest may send some ads to your social media but not sure. You can do the basic email entry though. This is my friends link to the rifle contest(ends in 11 days) and gives me another entry(just being honest) if clicked: https://wn.nr/7ygf3S It'd be cool to see someone win from TGO
  2. They only had 6-7 boxes left but were 333 per box(Winchester HP) for $17+. I'm sure they won't be there long so I thought maybe someone needs any might get lucky and see this before they run out. They also have Perfecta 9mm for $10 and I can't remember if it was .45 or .40 but they are always priced a couple bucks less than other brands and I've shot a bunch with no problems.
  3. (Well, I typed out quite a bit, hit backspace and it caused web page to go back, clearing all I typed :wall: , so I'll try again...)     Kinda funny, I just started looking at the Baofeng's on Amazon last night and been researching ever since, except for catching some Zzzz's. I am on a budget but my plan so far is to get one of the Baosfeng's($25-$62), study and get license. I was thinking about UV-82(accessories?) for starts but might just get the UV-82HP as I've read the antenna is quite good that comes with it and might be worth the extra $$ in long run or is there a newer better option for my plan? I do plan on getting radio first and just receive until I get license to have in case. Are there any ways to temporarily lock the radio to receive only so not to accidentally hit transmit or anything similar while listening?       I am basically looking at SHTF situations for now but who knows, maybe I'll enjoy it more so...
  4. Sounds like you've had more than an interesting adventure, welcome!
  5. Seems like they found another batch and one of the $upgrade$ options is un issued. From the reviews, some are very happy and a couple had complaints but I just posted this if anyone was looking for a collectors piece to hold on to for a while. I figured for this price, they'd best be left in cosmoline and either handed down or cleaned up and put in a nice case to show for a year or 20...   https://www.classicfirearms.com/finnish-m39-mosin-nagant-rifle-762x54r-b-barrel   For example: Some of the "plum" barrel orders say they don't seem like plum but just a different shade of black...er...grey?
  6. I've just started saving up for a membership there. I'm working quite a bit now but if I get a break sometime, I'd definitely like to check it out...
  7. I was just curious to see if anyone knew of an area that would allow us to go out and do some target(safe) practice? I'm guessing if there is, it's probably an hours drive anyway but thought I'd take a shot in the dark per say. I know they're more lenient in some counties/states than others. like in parts of Florida, you can just jump in a swamp area and no one would ever know and it's legal ofc...
  8. Vote for Sportsman's Guide and I just bought some .22 from Sportsman's Outdoor Superstore and will report back on shipping time.
  9. I won a raffle on Slickguns and want to put it towards a Henry Survival. I wish I could get a little better of a deal instead of paying Basspro's retail. As anyone ever seen these on sale? I know it sounds cheap of me but was looking at them for $215 the other day. I'll pay the retail but was doing one last shot at seeing if they ever went on sale? Thanks
  10. Well, the flash sale is over... I couldn't get anything this time, hopefully they'll do another when I have some ducats...
  11. I believe it's the top row. They are all .40's but $319 for a gen 3 G22 in VG condition seems worth letting some know.       I've never ordered from here so don't know their reputation on used grades, yet...       http://www.sportsmansoutdoorsuperstore.com/category.cfm/sportsman/used-firearms
  12. Every time I hear a bell, I come out swingin'...   I think I'd go with the Henry AR-7 .22, If it came down to a long travel. I used to move furniture and had to pace myself but also work hard for an entire day, sometimes 12+ hours. This was years ago but I still have the mentality needed to keep trekking for hours and a good steady pace but even the weight of .22 ammo is going to hurt after a few hours along with the other necessities. As for defense, I'm more of the stealth type and was always good at it. I have a buddy to team up with and he has the defensive gun if needed but I'm thinking more along of needing to get to a nice thick piece of land that only god and one Bill Hilly knows about. I know the perfect place to go, it's a nasty place to call home but is plentiful in food and water and the surroundings could make it impossible for others to get to you unobserved or even get to you at all...
  13. Here's a couple pics of M39 to get started. I need a better camera which is coming soon...
  14. I've had my eye on these and would pick one up if I had the dough. Seems like these retailers are just bumping the prices up each time they get them so unfortunately they ain't gettin' cheaper.   https://www.classicfirearms.com/p83-surplus-military-pistol-9x18-semi-auto   Oh, $16.50 shipping to Memphis, I think they're in NC...
  15. I was just thinking about how big of a step you'd have on the next guy if you had to draw this as a weapon. Think about how long a persons mind would take to register... "what in the F did he just pull out?" By the time they realized(if ever) what it was, it'd be over!
  16. I looked but didn't see it posted anywhere and I meant to post when I saw a while ago.   http://www.sportsmansoutdoorsuperstore.com/products2.cfm/ID/169719?utm_source=notification&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=Product%20Notification%20Email
  17. Oh well, I missed out but at least I have a can of 184 grain being held for me at descent price. I emailed SG asking if they just got lucky and found a few somewhere or if more is coming in to the U,S, waiting to see if they reply or not?
  18. yeah, I saw this on Slickguns and am waiting for my damn direct deposit to go in before they sell out. It's usually in by now but ofc not this time  :wall: . I'm not gonna let it bother me if I miss out though. I'm getting two rifles delivered tomorrow and nuttin's gonna bring me down from that high(Knock on wood)
  19. NVM, SOLD OUT ALREADY       I just got an email that these are back in stock at Sportsmans Guide. I would jump on this if I didn't already order from SOG. I wish this would've come in yesterday, but that's how these things work. I dunno how manny they have ofc but it's the best you'll find. I also read that the corrosive ammo isn't as bad as it sounds for people that may be hesitant to buy it. You just have to clean your rifle after shooting which you'll do(I hope) anyway. Anyway, I'll try to find said article on it.   I believe it's two 440 tins shipped in a crate. Man I really wish this would've hit me yesterday, lol...     http://www.sportsmansguide.com/product/index/880-rounds-762x54r-147-grain-fmj-ammo?a=1585760     Also, try "bradship" in promo code box for free shipping
  20. Ok. I paid for adobe convert to word.doc fee and sent in the waiver with ID. They emailed me and said I'd be in system within 24 hours, so I'll have that shipped this week... :bowrofl:     Edit: They just sent me order info and are packing it up. I ordered a can(22 boxes) and shipping was $20 if anyone is curious about their shipping fee due to them not showing it until after we order... Comes to 8.94 a box of 20 which is still cheaper than anywhere else.   Found a tin of 360 rounds with 185gr for $167 total, local here in Memphis. This was last one and buddy of mine's getting discount, usually would have been $185 plus tax...
  21. I saw their page somewhere but forgot about it. I was actually out that way yesterday and would have gone their if I thought about it, Grrrr!  :wall:    Ok. I'm over it, Thank you for reminding me, next time I'm out there, I'll definitely check them out!
  22. I emailed their waiver form and a copy of my DL. I sent in a signature that wasn't actually on the form, hopefully they use it ok because I don't have a printer and don't feel like going to the library and mailing in to them even though this is the best deal around. Hopefully they still have some Wednesday as I'll be able to order more then.  I could make it look like the form was signed if it wasn't pdf form but adobe wants $ to convert/edit it. I thought I figured out how to convert their files before for free but couldn't figure this one out...
