  1. Has anyone found a night sight that will fit a XDM 5.25? I have looked at the usual sources , Optics Planet, Cabello's, Brownels and others. Lots of options for XDM, but not the 5.25 model.
  2. The question is " are these two boys punks that would find some reason to spend most of their life in a prison or are they a couple of knuckle heads that were not thinking about the consequences of their actions. Either way it was a tragic day for everyone else involved.
  3. I sent my pistol to Springfield last Wednesday. They called me late yesterday. The problem was a bulged barrel. Ouch, I would not swear that i didn't have a squib load. I was shooting at a range and watching where the rounds hit the target pretty close. But anyway the fit up of the slide to the barrel is tight enough that my gun would not cycle. the slide would move about 1/4" and stick, that is it would not go back into battery w/o a good push on the back of the slide. I was a little hasty in my first judgement of Springfield. Communication problems we on my end. My email server was acting up. A big thanks and good job to Springfield, $142 for a XDM match barrel a few firing pin parts i did not send with the gun and Springfield covered FedEx shipping cost, both ways. I'm one happy camper!
  4. Looking for some load info, Anybody have a good cartridge Over All Length for Black Bullet,135gr. 9mm 1.160 is a little long for my gun. Works most of the time but..........
  5. The case is spent. i have check with a wooden dowel many times. I've also removed the firing pin. The case is the least of my problems. It would fall out if i could get the slide out of battery. I'll post a picture in when i get home.
  6. i have a Springfield XDM 5.25 40S&W is locked in battery. Springfield's answer is that they do not warranty gun shooting reloads. I can get the slide to move back about 1/4". Spent brass case is in the chamber, but it is not the issue. I jumped the case past the extractor and it moves in the chamber. But the slide remains locked up. Any ideas how to remove the jam or the name of a gunsmith that might know what to do. I've pushed, pulled, smacked it with a mallet, stood on my head, came close to cussing as I throw it across the room. I'm stumped.
  7. Thanks, I looked at some of the video last night. A lot of info to digest.
  8. I would like to build one for the experience and knowledge and something to play with but where to start an AR build? I have machined an 80% lower and put a Delton upper from Mid South Shooters Supply on it, not quite the same as from scratch. What are some good sources with info; options in the build, what's important if, and then how to.
