  1. Best wishes, my brother had his 2nd KR this past Jan/Feb, and the other KR 9 yrs ago. GL and hope for a speedy recovery.
  2. I use CapitalOne for savings, or holding $$ I may/may not need for a while, or for the annual tax & insurance bills that come around . You can transfer $$ back and forth with some limits, but I set up accts for RE taxes, house & car insurance, FIT taxes, etc., so I never run into the transfer limitations. Their website indicates they are paying 0.40% for savings accts, which is better than most CD's at this time.
  3. Just out of curiosity, how much time do you DIY day traders devote to this on a daily basis?? What system /company/platform do you guys use or prefer?? I'm too conservative, possibly lazy , and not willing to keep up with the market. It changes or reacts to the slightest news (good or bad) too much for me. I'm in the "buy & hold" quality stocks for the long term camp, so I"m curious.
  4. I have a FA dry media tumbler, works good, no complaints but I also have the FA wet tumblers, cleaner brass IMO. Depends on your needs or desires. The dry tumbler does not get used much anymore.
  5. Hope the window don't break, and that "thing" is just FUGLY.
  6. Watched it as well. Would love to have been able to see the launch from up close. I saw a early morning space shuttle launch when I lived in Orlando from my driveway. Lit up the entire horizion when they lit the fuse. I wonder what the lunar landing vehicle will look like coming from SpaceX now. A modified Telsa with antennas and hollow wire wheels???
  7. Just start accumulating the items needed like a press, dies, powder, etc., as opportunities present themselves. I pick up components when I see them, whether I need them or not, as a "just in case" there is another shortage. I can load up rounds for every caliber I've got but not like I did a year ago. I think a bit more about the end goal/results a bit more now since components are harder to find, but I still go to the range 2x/week for the most part. Reloading is also something to do on rainy days during the summer, or those crappy winter days when you don't want/need to get out, you have something do if you so desire.
  8. Just saw on Ch. 6 in Knoxville that WM has reversed this policy of removing guns from display during civil unrest, so do that mean WM supports civil unrest??? I saw on the news where a WM in Philly was looted just a couple days/nights ago due to the latest shooting by police, even tho the guy had a knife and would not obey their instructions.
  9. From my reading on various forums, current dies will work but you will need the die blocks or whatever they are called specific to the Forster press since the dies just slide in/out, they don't screw into the top brace. Makes changing calibers easy from what I've read.
  10. I quit watching the game about half way thru the 3Q, score indicates it did not get any better. IMO, we need an offensive line that can block (both pass and run), and a QB that can play on a consistent level.
  11. I've got several stocks that I could bed during this "slow" period, but all of my rifles are shooting about the best they will (all factory) so I keep thinking, "if it ain't broke, don't fix it". LOL
  12. I ordered and rec'd some 22 cal bullets I saw available online, shipping was fast via UPS, a bit pricey on the shipping but bullets are not light so.... I'm ok on primers and powders, but still look whenever I'm out and stop by stores that do stock reloading components. Some of the bullets I'm looking for still aren't available online or in stores, so I get what I can and move on. I can still load and go to the range, just have to be a bit more conservative in the number of trips. LOL.
  13. At least the bullet was not jammed into the lands, or it's a really really short throated chamber. LOL
  14. Might pose your question about value over on accurateshooterdotcom, lots of LR hunters/shooters over there that might be of help. GLWS
  15. Oh, I've been to the range numerous times, but I've been playing with a 20 Practical and 6x45 I built this past spring as well as a 22/250 I've neglected and never got a good load for. Target says I was just too stubborn to realize the 22/250 didn't like the bullets I was wanting to use.
  16. I've got several rimfire's that don't get shot much, if any. 2 Annies from the mid -80's and some 10/22's. It may have been 6 months since I shot my R700, but can't really say for sure w/o looking at the targets.
  17. I would go with a 3/4 ton since you tow over 3 tons basically every day. 3/4 ton will do the job w/o issue.
  18. Never kept count but I usually visit the range 2x/week the majority of the time, with 10-50 rounds doing load development or just to go to get out of the house. I shoot ABRA and some PS 150 so that is 2-300 rds/month of RF.
  19. I've read several good comments on their accuracy on different forums but have never seen or handled one.
  20. Several comments of F150 owners receiving offers from Carvana, etc., for more than or equal to their purchase price for 2017 on up.
  21. Keeping out of trouble usually is full time job for me, and seldom do I succeed in staying out of trouble.
  22. How many of you guys can actually state the exact # of arsenal items you have in your possession, or will you have to SWAG it, or guesstimate it, or get up and actually wonder thru every room in the house counting them as you go. I'm in the latter for the most part, but that's because I'm an old fart.
  23. If a man is married, he has been reminded on a REGULAR basis how many times he can be wrong in a day's time.
  24. It ain't the "golden years", it's the RUST years.
