1. here is my current setup. ive since added a VERY powerful green laser to the right side of the quad rail with a pressure switch. really helps get get on target. i can group decent at around 50 yards with just the laser. 2.   no i dont. i had it wrapped in paracord , but the charging handle was snagging it. ill probably buy a foam cover so i can get a more comfortable cheek weld on it.
3. kind of off topic, but didnt want to start a new thread. my ar pistol is 9mm so its kinda irrelevant on what you guys are talking about....but   my only gripe with my ar pistol is aiming the thing. i started off with a laser mounted on the quad rail and now ive got some flip up sights. i can do a cheek weld on the buffer tube, but its kinda funky. thinking about going the SBR route because of this. what does everyone else use for sights?
4. wideners had this same ammo last time i checked.
5. hope yours does better than mine. its a jam o matic. i emailed mossberg monday. no response yet.
6. ive got mine in hand. picked it up from coal creek today. hopefully they get you figured out soon. if only i could get my "in stock" barrel from PSA ill have that upper done i got from you.   sorry OP for threadjack
7. that sucks. i just tracked mine. its on the way. hopefully yours goes out soon. very odd
8. yep sure did. with model did you order? i ordered the regular stock not the pistol grip.
9. i ordered a 930spx from buds on 1/16 for 625. as soon as i ordered it i went back and saw it for 699!(what a price jump) as of 1/19 it showed the status as "shipped". today the tracking number showed up on the site and it looks like it went out ups. the tracking pops up on ups. all and all im happy. a lot better that my order i have at PSA for my "in stock" ar15 barrel i placed on 1/3.....uggggh.
10. its a shame i didnt see this. i just ordered a ATI stock for one of my 91/30s to bubba it up. i picked up another 91/30 yesterday.  the bore on it was not so great either. previous owner didnt clean it out correctly after shooting corrosive ammo through it (i learned my lesson on this first hand). plans are to sporterize this one. ive got another 91/30 with a brass stacker scope mount and a LER 2-7 scope on it. i like that setup and ill probably do the same on this one. if it shoots well...plans for now are add the stock, scope mount, scope,  and possibly chop the barrel down a little bit.   purist fear not! i still have a pristine un altered 91/30 and m44 in the safe :)
11. sorry to thread jack.....ive been looking for one also with no luck. if someone finds a stash somewhere let me know. thanks!
12. who in knox county is the best to have sign off on the paperwork? or is it worth the hassle to set up a trust?
13.
You must list a caliber. And although you can swap calibers as needed you must always have a 9mm upper to put on it. Or if you list 5.56 as the caliber you must always have a 5.56 to put on it. Anyway you do it you must have a caliber upper to match what is on the form. You use the existing serial number. It is better to have the lower engraved BEFORE the paperwork comes back. If you do it then the firearm is not a NFA item and any FFL can handle it. Once the paperwork comes back the lower IS an NFA item and the engraving must be done by a dealer that is licensed to handle NFA items. Dolomite
thanks for the insight answered everything i needed to know.
14. ive done some research and think i have everything figured out just want to make sure im right. i currently have a 9mm ar pistol i want to SBR. i understand i can keep it as a pistol until all the paperwork comes back etc. i have a few questions though. * on the forum do i have to list caliber as 9mm? effectively making ALWAYS 9mm and not able to switch back to 5.56(i have a mag block not dedicated lower) or can i list it as "multi" like lowers are normally marked. * since i already have a s/n i do not need one engraved...just use the existing correct? * at what point do i do the engraving thanks for the help on this guys. getting ready to make the leap on this
15. i learned first hand clp+a bore snake on a mosin does not work. i would say with patches/brushes it would work better.
16. on mine i do the same thing. flush hot water through the barrel and gas port. i also was the bolt, carrier etc with water. while its drying i run a 22 cal bore snake down the barrel. it all gets lubed with clp then put away. i may try using windex instead next time though
17. here is a source for some mags. ive got a 9mm pistol setup. its a jse 7" upper with a psa lower and spikes tactical mag block. prob about 500 rds though mine flawless. love the little thing. http://www.jsesurplu...elmagazine.aspx edit: also for what its worth....all mine has seen is a diet of 115gr fmj freedom munitions reloads.
18. update. shot mine a little yesterday. after i got it zeroed in i was able to shoot pretty well with it. was shooting about 1" groups at 75yards. really surprised me
19. ive got one, but only have shot with it once. not even enough to sight it in. seems very solid though
20. thanks so much for the help on this. i assume since the lower already has a s/n there i do not have to have any engraving done correct?
21. kinda on this topic as well. ive got a 9mm ar pistol ive built. ive been considering doing SBR on it. being that its already built...what are the steps i have to take?
22. i ordered some 9mm from them. ive shout about 100 rounds. so far so good.
23. thanks guys. i will check into them
24. without having a rail on the front handguard...i think iron sights will be useless. im looking for some kinda of red dot or laser set up. i took my other primary arms red dot(not micro) and threw it on there. will work, but not really what im looking for
