  1. Wow, So they didn't have the time to side line the gun untill they notified you of a change like that? That really sucks. I would write a letter to the CEO there and explain that. Thats just flat out wrong. They need to butter you up with something nice to straighten this out.
  2. OK, after all the super fine 1911's, I'm going to upset the apple cart with my personal rat rod 1911. Back when I built this 3 5/8ths barreled pop gun in 82 from full size 1911A1 parts, the only thing this small size was the Star PD 45. The Officers ACP didn't come out yet for another 3 years. I made up a cut down magazine for it but just so happened the Officer's ACP mags fit my shortened frame perfectly. At the time, I was running the Auto Ordnance 1911 line so I built this from junk seconds parts that I scrounged from the line & Numrich parts bin for the most part aside from the too loose for a production build essex frame. It was a fun project that shoots pretty good.
  3. Yeah, how about that one for a brain fart. After paying State sales tax for just shy a half century. looks like more of me went south than I was expecting. Worst part about it, my wife's been right about my memory functions . Looks like the only way to fix stupid off the top is just stay off social media! Gezz..... And then there's my 93 year old mother I take care of in my home. If you think I'm bad, She makes me look like a genius with her dementia! I'm not scared of dying but that there scars the crap out of me and I'm on the road to it or so it seems. I'v drop the prices on my Ebay stuff with 3 going in the mail tomorrow. Its been a good run since 03. Ebay claims I grossed well over 100K since then. Made ALOT of gun part buyers happy with 3385 transactions to date. It's done.
  4. What those nitwits are absolutely incapable of understanding is they corralled a chit load of new sales tax by going into Ebay and GB. We all were PO'ed about it but business moved on. Now with this ass a nine 1099-K move, they will lose a portion of the sales tax AND tick off alot of voters. Half a brain would have said, leave sleeping dogs the hell alone! And the dopes wondered how the hell did Trump ever get elected...... I dont file long form so a small itemization more than likely wont add up to more than a standard deduction. Thats what's going to kill my little pocket change I enjoyed from Ebay. Same reason I don't hold a C&R but for the 3 years at a time. Who needs those feds potentially up their but hole on a permanent basis?
  5. OK, stand corrected. and this was the original result in 1913. on February 25, 1913, with the certification by Secretary of State Philander C. Knox, the 16th amendment took effect. Yet in 1913, due to generous exemptions and deductions, less than 1 percent of the population paid income taxes at the rate of only 1 percent of net income. But no slippery slope here........ Your taxes make your politicians so important to the flow of monies, many of them sell them selves while in office for many millions more than their salaries would dictate. Yet they want my used and broken gun parts income. M..effers. Repeal any portion of the personal income tax? Apparently an income tax once was repealed in 1872! Hell, the way they have been throwing money up in the air like confetti these days, they will reset your bank account value so they can keep command spending with no regard. Why has the word Deficit been virtually black balled in the halls of Congress? Because they need to argue on how many more IRS agents they need first! That said, they need to keep their mits off my used stuff sales. I'm going to personally ask my reps on that question and vote accordingly..... as if the electro machines will be honest about the votes cast.....
  6. I dont have a problem with reporting income on brand new item sales. I sell USED gun parts privately from time to time on Ebay and have kept it under 10K anualy without issue. GB still allows buyers to pay directly to the seller with MO's and they bill you for the sales tax off the sale. So far, I'v not had any issues collecting a GB sale into PayPal. Gov over reach is out of control. There is no Income tax written in the US Federal Constitution. It was supposed to be a War effort tax only untill they helped them selves to it just because. Technically its illegal like so much of the "laws" you and I never voted for. Did they ever ask you about sending out your tax monies in the billions in foreign aid? Just more bend over and like it. You have no say in it back then or now. I also have sold on the 127 yard sale week. I guess I'm a felon there to for not running to them with a 1099-k? Good Grief....
  7. Got a notice from them that they will hold my pay outs since I made more than $600 on their sight this year, they need my SS # so they can 1099-K my income with the IRS. It used to be no IRS until you went over 10K in sales! WTF...... I sold ALOT of gun parts there since GB had dismal gun parts followers compared to Ebay but now, unless GB is going to change their rules to comply with the IRS, I'm going to start GB pay and move over to them. Used to be, you go where the money is but this Gov encroachment is in your face on Ebay now.
  8. Coincidence! I was shooting my new to me Ruger LCP II yesterday and had the same results. I hold level with half the target covered and the Ruger was hammering the dead center. Ruger gets it with this little pop gun out of the box.
  9. Just read all of this one. Its a valid point in that anything related to 2nd A should not be taxed but there is infact a hidden Fed tax on all firearm and ammunition manufacture that I believe was the work of the Clinton administration. At least here in TN, things "seem" to be heading in the right direction. Obviously we should all pull together by joining the TFA right off the bat once anyone moves here. Unfortunately for FL, it's moved into the purple zone so it may not be all that far away from Cali given more time. Destantis is holding the line but for how long? IDK. My bet is maybe TN will hold out against the Deep state a bit longer. JMO. Good Luck RBT in FL!
  10. For the ones who have faith in the Pharma / CDC guidance on all things Covid, This study is from June of 2020. Yet they black balled Ivermectine any way. The Government bone is connected to the Pharma bone..... The Pharma bone is connected to the sheeple money bone...... I used to say I dont trust the Gov any further than I can spit. I was mistakenly giving them way too much credit at that. Is ivermectin–Azithromycin combination the next step for COVID-19? 11. The way they save money when producing a low end cost gun is make sure the castings used are machining free. The mag catch is one such animal. But, if there was a change up in catch acquisitions, the new ones may not be all that consistent with the last batch. More than likely, this issue of magazines riding high is a mag catch that should have had its step milled. Technically, the frame mag mouth should not have its mag stop cut, cut that far up into the frame as to allow a mag to go up so far as to ding the slide groove as pictured with an in spec mag. If it were my gun, I would have sent RIA the picture as used with their magazine and ask them to ship a new in spec mag catch. Sending it back would be the more critical issue of not going into battery for the average Joe. That could be just a simple extractor tension adjustment or as bad as a bad barrel.
  12. Looks like I caught the omicron last week at the chiropractor's office First symptoms hit Saturday morn as sniffles, increasing head ack and zero energy. At this first sign, I took Ivermectin pictured above. 2, 12mg tabs that first Saturday. Sunday the same symptoms but the head Ack was pretty bad, a cough and very, very tired. I took 2 more 12 mg tabs, Monday it started to ease up as I took 18mg threw the day. Tuesday I tested but felt notably better. Wednesday, still some sniffles and very slight cough. Today, results were positive for Covid but I am about 95 percent recovered. The thing no body said about taking the Ivermectin was about 30-45 minutes after taking it, most symptoms relaxed somewhat for a few hours after taking the dose. All in all, as a NON vaccinated 62 year old, I had 2 crappy days and even then, I still fiddled around in my garage on my old Dodge Cummins truck. All the political hype on this is insane. I had the Flue once back in like 89 and it was way, way worse than this. That one was bed ridden for days and couldn't keep any food down. This Covid didn't even bother my appetite at all! Wife is now coming down with it and I have her on the Iver today. And You tube has all but deleted everything on Iver dosing! Man oh man how this country has completely collapsed to the whims of big pharma. Looks like the Live Free or Die crowd has shriveled down to a minority these days.
  13. I bough a few of these for SHTF days for family coms. I have hand helds also. The Chinese put a HP mode in these like exports used to have. I think that will peak at 12w. You Tube has some operational mud on these tiny sets. No big money, no big deal. Mini CB Radio CB-40M 25.615-30.105MHz 10M Amateur 8W AM/FM Citizen Band CB Radio 619317585126 | eBay
  14. there are 161 of them on GB right now. The Italian clones are as close as it comes to the real Mcoy. GB will give you a good idea of what to expect with their Buy It Now numbers. There are a number of discount distributors out the like Grab A Gun and others. Rifles for Sale - Buy Rifles at GunBroker.com
  15. My fav is this one. "HB 1769 was filed by Rep. Bruce Griffey. This bill, which was reported in the media as the "Kyle [Rittenhouse] law" would provide a means for someone acquitted on criminal charges because of self-defense to potentially recover their attorney's fees or costs from the state." Tort Reform isn't dead? Most all industrialized Nations have laws like this for most any legal litigation. Except here. Before Pharma became the biggest DC sugar daddy, it was the BAR Ass. God forbid the little guy cut them out of another filling for cost damages due to a bad lawsuit. At very least my dues are pointed in the right direction with inspired bills like these all though it should be extended to civil cases as the rest of the modern world has it. More money is pee-ed away on litigation in the US than any other nation by a pretty fair chunk.
  16. Hell, if you all are that desperate for primers, rebuild used ones. Find your self some nitric acid, set up a mini distillery of sorts, fume it, cool it, capture it n dry it. If you do your part, you'll have RDX compound in your filter. Paste a tiny mix, put the anvil in, let dry and your done. Thats a VERY basic description out of some reading material any SHTF enthusiast should have laying around. Hi home land
  17. Ammunition plant to open near Texarkana (texarkanagazette.com) Great news.
  18. Yeah, The AC was a stumper, but as I just looked at it again in the picture, I think it was their off way of an AH abreviation. If you use the right leg of the A for the left leg of the H. They went out of business in 06 so probably not any parts to be found by now.
  19. THANK YOU guys Very Much, you dont know how much this was bugging me! Looks like a Sako Action but with a non typical Sako receiver body. I'll look that up now. I can sleep better tonight LOL.
  20. I recently bought this off Ebay simply because I can re purpose stocks if I like it and whats not to like about the look of this rather expensive machine cut full coverage checkering. The thing about it is it has a 1 inch flat to flat, no taper octagon barrel channel with a ram rod channel as you can see the rod retention spring in one pic. It looks to have had a double set trigger in the gun behind a single shot bolt configuration. The bolt cut in the stock is Win model 70-ish but a Rem round receiver type inlet. Only a single action retaining screw. I'm stumped. I'v spent alot of catalog looking to no avail. The Trigger guard and rubber butt pad has a cursive "AC" manufactured into them. So, this is most likely a factory muzzle loading production gun of sorts. What say you???
  21. The cheapest way is USPS Priority mail, Dealer 01 to dealer 01. I did this once and the dealer I used just called the go to dealer to get their aproval its coming from them. You can copy the form off USPS web sight like I did. About every dealer will say its not accepted, but it is. USPS has conflicting rules but this is in fact their policy. "A licensed manufacturer, dealer, or importer can ship a handgun via the US Post Office if the licensed dealer fills out a US Post Office Form PS 1508 and files it with the local Post Office branch where the handgun is to be shipped. You can search the US Post Office Postal Explorer site for specific USPS regulations."
  22. Hold on there slick!.... Before you go putting pressure on that toggle lock, you best have a look at it. The toggle locks on those original guns were pretty hard and anywhere in its history of home loads could very well crack one of the 4 in the gun. I checked one for a guy once that like you, wanted to shoot it. The action worked OK by hand but one of the links were cracked in 2 but the crystalline surface of the crack mated so well it still toggled up and down matching the movement of it sister link on the other side of the bolt. IDK if the new Italian clones will swap locking links. Back when, I found an original link to replace the broken one. So, Yeah you can shoot it even with factory loads since they are watered down big time from the factory and I know on new Remington boxes they even print for "All" firearms chambered in 44-40. Just pop the side plates off and look the link joins over really close. If they are sound, hammer time!
  23. Welcome to some of the stooges walking point for the New World Order. You'll find them sunning in the Democrat party and as bottom suckers in the Republican party. They all share the desire to be materially rich first at any cost to the country or their fellow countryman. Follow the crumbs they leave behind and you'll find it ends in off world places. The NSA, FBI, CIA and others carry their water for them. Enslaved in plain sight. Snowden should have gotten a metal.... But they wanted to kill him instead!! Ha ha.. Rand Paul is putting point man Fauci in alot of heat with the handlers. I expect he will eventually get the Epstein treatment at some point if he starts to break. Not much will change until Americans start loosing this cushy standard of living. Then in confused ignorance lash out in every direction. Just as expected.
  24. Thanks guys, Goes to show you, a little imagination and a decent smith can crank out something that's a one of a kind hand me down for your family. Not to say some of the Collector guns posted here are beyond fantastic finds but this sort of thing is the other side of that coin.
