  1. I’ll give Franklin Armory a ring. No go on the others. Thanks!
  2. I REALLY want it to work for me, but definitely don’t want to front $600+ to find out.
  3. Wasn't sure where to put this... I want to try out a M&P45 M2.0 full or compact, but I can't find any ranges that have any for rent or used (In the past I've had places allow me to try out used guns on their range). Is there anyone that has one in the Middle TN (I'm in Lebanon) area that would be willing to meet up to let me have a go? I'll pay our range fee (maybe not Glockstore prices) and bring factory ammo for your gun. It'd be appreciated if you had the various grip sizes (I seem to prefer a smaller grip). Bonus points if you also have a M&P9 M2.0 to try side by side as well. I'd be happy to bring something(s) interesting from my collection as well. Thanks everybody!
  4. Samsquantch is good people! I helped put some of those rounds through those guns. I was very impressed shooting them next to my Colt Commander.
  5. Hello all, Does anyone have a S&W 360PD or 340PD that’s just taking up room in their safe that they’d consider parting with? Forgot to add I’m in Wilson Co / Nashville area. Thanks, Jarrad
  6. I’ve actually never been to one at the Lebanon Expo Center. Nice location, just never been to the gun show there.
  7. Sorry, busy week. Yes, at the National Guard Armory on Leeville Pike.
  8. I thoroughly enjoyed the Lebanon show at the armory. Relatively small, but packed. Only bought one gun and would have bought a couple if I had more gun money.
  9. On top of what Dave said it could also keep getting bumped by other trials. Many times they’ll set a couple trials for the same day and courtroom and start whichever is ready or higher priority. So many Monday trial dates get pled out the Friday before.
  10. Sorry, I didn’t mean I discourage you in general. I was thinking more from the side of going directly into the camps. There is no shortage of homeless and temporary homeless that are working hard to get on their feet, but physical and mental illness, rediculous cost of living here now and lack of resources are always working against them. I’d echo what everyone else has said about hooking up with the Mission, Room at the Inn, ect...
  11. Many of the homeless are better outfitted than REI. I’d go with what others have suggested and hook up with the Mission or Room at the Inn. These folks can always use help in money supplies and volunteers. I’d caution against going into the camps alone or otherwise. The majority of these folks are super nice and good people, but there are others that are downright dangerous. Here is an example of one camp of many around Nashville. This one is behind the the Lowe’s at Charlotte Pike and River Rd.
  12. My wife does as well. Better bring your CDs. If you ever plan, or think there is even the slightest possibility of needing to commute to Nashville, don’t move anywhere off I24 south east of Nashville. Im off I40 30 miles east from the center of Nashville, where I work, and my commute is 50-60mins. People who commute on I24 laugh at me like I’m a child when I complain about my commute.
  13. I’ve been a visitor at Strategic Edge and it was a fantastic facility with great people. I’d join if I was closer. Stones River is a nice facility, but a real pain, though very safe DUE TO being a real pain. OK Corral or something outside Murfreesboro? Never been, but heard about it.
  14. Next year (2018) is anybody's guess, but this article from last year (2016) says HCP is good to go per Lebanon PD: http://wilsonpost.com/lpd-to-increase-officers-at-wc-fair-cms-88827 "There are no plans to change procedures for entrance to the fair, and Hardy said they have not specifically banned firearms at the fair." "We follow Tennessee state law on firearms, meaning if you are licensed and permitted to carry a firearm and have that documentation with you, you are allowed to bring your firearm," he said."
  15. Ah, a glutton for more crappy cell phone pictures...excellent! Hadn't gotten around to it yet. S&W bottom break, short cylinder (.22 short?). On barrel rib: Smith and Wesson Springfield Mass Pat Apr.3.55 July 5.59.Dec.1880 (or 60?) Serial on butt 127XXX No other visible markings. Looking at Wiki maybe a Model 1 Third Issue?
  16. Thanks for the updates! I've been very fortunate to receive several quality functioning firearms from mine and my wife's family though most are rough finish wise. im going to try to work up the gumption this weekend to disassemble it a little to oil and explore more. Maybe try to source some of that Short Colt.
  17. That does look just like it with the same receiver stamping (dates were much clearer on that one), but as you pointed out no double triggers on mine.
  18. I can only see the back of the block since the front is covering the chamber and when levered it falls into the receiver, but from the back it appears to be in the center?
  19. No model number that I can find. Receiver stamped: Marlin Firearms Co New Haven CT USA Patented February ? 1876 Ballard's Patent Nov 5 1881 It is a falling / rolling block. Not sure on rimfire or center. Here is the chamber and hammer (sorry for all the crappy phone pictures). Thanks!
