  1. Sounds good! I have to say that I am excited about getting some of the pistols I haven't been able to and actually being able to freely own standard capacity magazines. Private sales are absolutely unregulated? How awesome is that. Only private dealings that can be done without a paper trail out here is between Father or Mother and children. I've had some freedom because I have a C&R license. But even that is regulated under CA laws, nothing over 10 rounds, "assault" weapons...
  2. It's already reality in Kalifornia. Any new handgun must be made with a microstamping firing pin or it cannot qualify to be on the list of approved CA handguns. So if Ruger or S&W decide to change anything to a particular model, it becomes a new model and without microstamping it falls off roster. It's Kalifornia's loophole to ban all handguns. Anything left on the roster will be 30 or 40 year old guns that haven't changed since 2013 or whenever they passed that junk.
  3. There are quite a few gun owners out here. Mostly inland valley, Northern state, in the Sierra and a few places down south. Basically the conservative places. Every gun store has the petitions and guys running the campaign on Calguns are saying the estimates are close to a million signatures. But Prop 63 is already on the ballot and will negate anything done anyways. Brown basically doubled down and signed these laws in case 63 didn't pass. Also, everyone already expects Newsom to be governor next so these proposals will eventually be law regardless. Fighting now is just buying time. The wife and I have already decided to leave by next summer.Hence why I'm here. I'd rather not give my taxes to the communists anymore. They can have this state. It's going down hill fast out here.
  4. Now I know why the girl at my bank insisted on a savings account when all I wanted to open was a checking. Quota!
  5. I posted over in the new members introduction forum. But I am asking this because i'm leaving Kalifornia for Tennessee. I've been over regulated and immersed in communist bs for so long I don't know how normal Americans in free states buy guns. Basically here I have to have a permit, FSC card they call it. Only handguns appoved by CA DOJ (not even Colt Government 1911's are on the list). Only 1 hangun purchase in 30 days, 10 day wait to pickup. Long guns as many as I want in 30 days, 10 day wait. Of course, no standard capacity magazines, bullet buttons (but not for much longer, mags will have to fixed only) etc... Tell me of the free process that I'll be gladly joining soon? Do you guys cash and carry most guns or is there any kind of wait on background checks?
  6. Thanks for the link. That's not a bad price on a Tok. Some places I've seen lately have had even Polish or Romanians for $100 more.
  7. With all of the heavy communist legislation being forced on us lately and it never ceasing to grow here in California, the wife and I have decided to move to greener and freer pastures. My wife is originally from California, but her parents moved to Tennessee about 15 years ago. She spent most of her middle and high school years there. Her parents are in Franklin, so we want to be close by in Williamson County. She likes Thompson's Station/Spring Hill area so that's where we will most likely be looking. It's a big decision for us. We have a 3 month old son and all of our family is here in California. But the writing is on the wall out here and it's time to go. I look forward to living in a state that holds my beliefs dear and somewhere we can raise our son with freedom, peace and at a normal pace of life. My mom's side is from Arkansas, so it won't be a culture shock for me. I am looking forward to hand shakes and hospitality and being able to live the way I was raised. Our plans are to be there next summer. Pay off some debt and get our loose ends straight and we will be good to go. I look forward to getting to know all of your here and to take any advice you may have. Thanks
