Ambitious and cool project. Just make it so you can get it through modern doors and you have one heck of a home defense. Lol Much cooler than the 10/22 trigger crank kits.

Doug, Nice looking piece! Never seen one of those before, of course I am sheltered. Lol Enjoy it.

Better have added stabilizer to that water or it will be good and green in a while.

Stop the evil that you speak......lol -
Is this a good time to say that I started building an "Emergency Preparedness site".........??????????? Ok, yeah I am serious..... Maybe I can teach a few people enough that they can survive without depending on or attacking me......

Nevermind. Got stuck at work and it got sold..... I thought for $60 it might have been worth a try.

I just love the sparkle effects when a bullet hits a car door...they are soooo realistic.... I just have to ignore how bad this stuff. Bugs me but I like the story overall. Maybe one day they will hire real special effects people and a gun wrangled that knows something.

I am looking at buying a used Cva new frontier. I am told it’s the same gun as the cva buckhorn. Any experience?

With the crooked hats and the lever gun shoved barrel first in the dirt, did you mean they look...troubled?

I think across all types of items it is because marketing people are using Black Friday more as a gimmick than a sale. Multiple times in the last few years I have bought things at the same or lower than the Black Friday price before the day. Unfortunately a lot of the buying public fall for it. If more people really looked around they would pressure companies into really cutting prices. I understand the business side too. They have costs, but these brick and mortar stores are going to have to be aggressive to keep up. Also, the old trick of having 3 of the item EVERYONE wants at a super low price is not a solution. That used to be their way to set good deals, but minimize loss. That just ends up with an angry mob of people who all waited hours to get the new it thing and are turned away. I find myself buying less and less on Black Friday each year. Really I only buy things for gifts that are really on sale. I also only do it online. I can't stand dealing with the mob unless I have to any more.

I know, still bugs me though. When the zombies rise up, I am gonna pick up every piece of brass I fire. Reload every night. Lol

A few ingredients with a little time and Black powder is doable. But yeah, if you have unlimited ammo, why bother. Where are they getting all this stuff? I mean it all can't be what was left lying around after they ran Neegan off and no group had a sizeable stash.

Sparing bad guys rarely works out well. I just wonder why they don't use some explosives on some of these guys.

Sighting in deer rifles for deer season
Ronald_55 replied to gregintenn's topic in Hunting and Fishing
I don't trust sighting in off-hand. I need somewhere to set it up on bags or a sled. May not matter. I am probably kidding myself that I will get to go anyway. Life likes to do things to prove I really am not in control. That has been the case all day today. My wants rarely work out. -
Sighting in deer rifles for deer season

I am struggling to find a time and a spot to sight in my "new to me" rifle/scope combo. Been years since I hunted at all. Where I am invited to hunt, they frown on any shooting this late. Anyone know if any of the indoor ranges in NE TN have setups for rifle? All the pics I have seen are pistol type tables. I may just have to try one of the National Forest ranges, but I hear they can be very hit or miss and the closest is about 40 minutes away. My schedule is as much an issue as anything else. Only thing I miss about my old gig. I had a place to shoot there whenever I wanted. My Dad used to sight in his with one shot each year, but it was never was a get together. Maybe because shooting that .444 was not fun after a few shots. Or because the cost per shot was enough to make you wince. He also hunted alone most of the time though and still does. -

Since it is getting colder I bought a cheaper shoulder rig to try out. Fits my M&P .45 and CZ P-09. Has 2 mag pouches on other side. I have always seen the shoulder rigs as the best option though they do require a jacket to cover. We will see how I like it. -
