  1. Looks like the Facebook for them had a 1/5/17 update.

I am guessing someone hijacked the domain or just failed to get payment applied. The same thing happened to local police department at one point. They simply forgot to pay the payment to renew the domain.

It's doubtful that whoever sporterized this rifle would have spent the money to change the caliber. The barrel looks like the original barrel that came with it, but shortened with a modified front sight. I don't think you'd be able to convert it back to its original military configuration so I'd just leave it like it is.

You can take it to a gunsmith to confirm the caliber or if you have a gun sled, you can strap the rifle in and fire it with a string tied to the trigger from a safe position. I've done this a few times with rifles I wasn't sure about. Afterwards, examine the fired cartridge for any signs of a headspace problem or indications that the chamber is larger than .303. Obviously, if a .303 cartridge doesn't fit initially, then it has been downsized to a smaller cartridge. I doubt that will be the case.

    lol "honest error".

Comcast makes Wells Fargo look like a middle school bubble gum thief.

Too bad there will never be suit and substantial settlement, because Comcast is the government.

Anyone care to venture a guess as to the monthly revenue generated by these possible "honest errors"?

Out of 23 million customers, if 1% per month experience these convenient, accidental charges x $10 bucks a pop...

I love how they charge us fees to recoup fees they pay. I thought that was overhead and you took it out of the regular monthly charges. I am sure they charge a little extra too.

By the way, your answer is 2.3 million a month.

I have tried to find other options in my area, but the DSL is questionable and no one  else serves my street.

I'm going to get on that asap. 79.00? Ouch, but then again I think we all passed up "the good deals" to keep money in the bank and food on the table

I was a broke college kid, but I could have made a lot of money on them over the years. Who am I kidding, I can't stand to get rid of any gun I get. Lol

Maybe dumb question but what does 1,024 mb do that 300 mb doesn't?   We have 10-20 mb and stream video and everything else we want/need to do.  Not sure I understand the hype of all the 1 gig providers?

Purely is about how much you can do at once. I have over 10 wireless devices in my household and with kids they can suck up pretty much all you can get.

It is hype for the average household but as more things are connected, it gets closer to being neccesary. It should not be as expensive as it is though.

What steps? I'd be amazed if it weren't still chambered in 303 British. Clean the bore and chamber, get some ammo, and fire away.

    I've yet to shoot a 303. I think I'd like to.

My first deer rifle was a sporterized Enfield from my grandfather. Someone did some nice engraving on it. Nice rifles to have. Nothing wrong with the .303 British round. I still kick myself for passing up a chance to buy as many as I wanted (non-sporterized) in a gun shop for $79.99 each years back.

Shop will be in small barn on my property just over the hill north of Rogersville.  I work by appointment only.  That was the way I worked in Michigan and if it aint broke, no need to fix it.  I like to take off for a day or three from time to time.  After all, I'm supposed to be retired.  Still waiting for FFL.

That is the only way to work.. for yourself. Sadly I don't.

So what did the FFL inspection consist of. i have heard people say they can be picky.

The Sears in Kingsport Tn and Bristol Va are closing and that leaves very little left in the malls. Kingsport has a man with sign that says UP TO 30 % off.

Starting in late Nov.I needed to replace a 9/16" ratchet wrench that wouldn't ratchet .they still hadn't restocked any wrenches or sockets after Christmas I thought they were going under.

With the Sears and Movie theater going out of the Fort Henry Mall I expect they will be hurting. I think the center with BestBuy on Stone Drive is hurting them too. Basically it is just a bunch of teenagers hanging out when I have to go in there.

I used to dream of owning craftsman stuff, but not anymore. The last time someone I knew tried to get a replacement for a lifetime warranty wrench, they hassled him. They ended up asking him to ship it for a replacement because they couldn't just give him a new one at the store.

I have a Maverick Security 88 - the 20 inch model - as one of my HD shotguns.  Obviously, that means not only would I trust it with my life but, in that role, I do.  In fact, the Maverick 88 security and/or field model was pretty much the shotgun I had in mind when I made my previous post.

I also have a Savage/Stevens HD model of the 320 which I have read is a clone of a Winchester model.  I like the 320 because it came stock with a full buttstock with integrated pistol grip.  It was also maybe $20 or $30 cheaper than the Maverick (both bought brand new) but I got it on sale at Academy so regular price might be about the same.  I have to say, though, that while I 'trust' the 320 for HD and so on in an 'extended event' I'd go with the Maverick over the Savage/Stevens any day, especially if building up a supply of them to potentially arm a group.  It just gives an overall impression of better quality and higher durability than the Savage/Stevens, IMO.

I keep looking to possibly pick up one of those. I agree they would be a good solution to the problem of arming several people.

Shotguns are pretty low powered cartridges so you could easily load them using black powder.

I thought of reloading, but had not thought you could do it with back powder. I know in a pinch coins, pea gravel, marbles, or bearings could be used for projectiles. If you were really prepared, you would have a stash of lead and buckshot molds. Because no matter how much ammo you stockpile, you will run out at some point. Any idea on how you would deal with primers if you ran out?

  11. We have one guy at work that has a personal one and he has one for our survey crew. They use your iPad, iPhone, or android phone as part of the controller. Seems really fun. They use the work one to do aerial shots of job sites and to get building pictures where you can't do it by hand. theose are much better than the $20 one my son has. It is fun, but has a very short battery and is not as stable.

Some of the nicer ones have a return to home feature, a follow me feature, and a hover unattended feature.

Since Academy is in TN, the sales tax kicks it up to 19 cents /rnd. I'v fired a lot of Wolf 9 and never had a bad round so for the money I think those 72 round Sumoi drums will get the springs wound up!

Yeah, Cabelas is a good option to skip the sales tax, but they are not even close on the price right now.

I just happen to have some Academy credit, so that will offset the taxes. Otherwise I would be ordering from that site too.
