  1. Cute girl and very skilled. She is gonna do great things. By the way, just send me that catapult if you need to make room. Lol
  2. Mom used to cook only the stalks by cutting it up, breading it, and frying like okra. Been a lot of years though. The wife's family only ever ate the leaves cooked kind of like collard greens.
  3. What are you going to use it for? Plinking. Competition, Hunting. Defense?
  4. Neither of my spawn really have much interest. My son has shot and took as deer last season. He really only shoots with my father-in-law. Never can get him to the range myself. My daughter won't even try.
  5. Anyone ever saw one of these? Neat things and a neat story. 5 shot .45 that is hand cycled. At its widest point, the gun is 0.8125 inches across. Overall length is just 5.3-inches with a respectable 3.75-inch barrel. I am thinking that since it was for deep cover that the hand cycling to eject the brass might be to avoid leaving evidence. Size comparison to a Khar PM45c The story. http://www.amderringer.com/lms.html http://www.guns.com/2013/05/17/the-semmerling-lm-4-pistol-sleek-strange-secretive-sought/
  6. I happen to know that the arcade game business S&M Ammusements on that list has changed its name. I pass it every day. They go by FACE Amusements now. I always wondered how they missed that in their naming.
  7. Dang, that girl has skill! Give her a bit and it will be 1 ragged hole per 5 shots I bet.
  8. Sounds like it iscomingaling. We used to have several in the house. Now tgey are empty in the garage. Just too much else to keep up with.
  9. I don't take credit. It is the original article's title.
  10. I am not sure exactly how much Springfield supplied Dick's in the first place. http://gunsgeardaily.wpengine.com/springfield-armory-cuts-dicks-off/ In a surprising move that is sure to get the full attention of the expected 20,000 protesters here at the NRAAM in Dallas, Springfield Armory has chosen to sever ties with Dick’s Sporting Goods, in a counter move to support 2nd Amendment rights.4
  11. I think he did. Hell, if I had a clear backdrop behind him, I would have just shot him through the door if he started shooting outside and was headed in. I am sure it was glass anyway.
  12. This is when I waved bye to all of mine...
  13. What do you want to bet if they bought all these back at $200, a bunch of them would get sold for profit somehow by some fat cat in DC? Even a cheap a$$ AR in 5.56 is worth double that. Let alone all the stupid people that turn in stuff like a vintage Garand at the buy backs in the past.
  14. No one ever spoke ill of the local sewing bee.
  15. Dad has an old one we pulled out of a place years ago. I may have to Mythbusters it. Lol
  16. Your heathen will thank you so much in the future. I wish we had shot more growing up. I think how good of a shot I might be if we had had time and money to shoot for fun. Dad shot his deer rifle once a year to check zero and any other shots put meat in the freezer. If I fired a 12ga shell it was expected to be at a squirrel or dove. I did talk him into firing his pistol once to practice, but only because he had a ton of surplus ammo in a box.
  17. I bought a few things off there. Stuff that never shows up locally, or at least not at the selling price. Always vetted the seller like I would on eBay. The worst I have had was some slow shipping. I keep a scan of the FFL license and just email it to the seller. I watch the tracking info and know my FFL has it before he can call.
  18. You might hit a store that has a backlog of older comics. You could buy up a bunch of issues of a storyline for not a lot if you avoid the highly collectible old or rare sets. That is unless you are really collecting. If you are just reading them, having mint copies is not a priority. Or you could sample some storylines, genre, and companies to see what you like. A lot of times $30 will net you as many standard comics.
  19. In Tennessee, 911 Operator code for "home invasion" is "send the hearse."
  20. Nice one. And my wife appreciates the The Princess Bride reference.
  21. U.S. military veteran receives world's first total penis and scrotum transplant https://amp.usatoday.com/amp/542725002 I wanna cheer for the guy, but I am too weirded out...
  22. It just needs a bayonet kinda like this one. Just make it hook into the bipod mount.
  23. Tangent: Hopefully no one attacks that school ever. There is a single choke point for vehicles coming in or out. Yikes. I bet traffic is messy there on a normal day
  24. While watching Fear The Walking Dead recently a character jumps in a bath tub to escape the blast of a grenade. It got me thinking that I have seen this done a bunch in movies or tv shows to avoid a blast or bullets. Is there any "armor" value to this? I can see it being helpful back when porcelin covered cast iron was the norm, but I don't think today's fiberglass tubs provide much protection from shrapnel or bullets. You might be protected from the blast wave though. So thoughts? I know this was tv, but I have seen people refer to this in home invasion scenerios where they plan to put their family in the tub to avoid gunfire.
  25. And have you ever noticed it is never a hot 20ish chick. Most of the time it is an overweight guy that makes me think I am looking in a mirror. I could not be a cop tackling random nude people. You never know what they are covered in or if they are gonna bite you.
