  1. Much C&R stuff at it? I haven’t been to that show in a while and was curious.
  2. Looks and sounds nice and I think you did well at $200 paid for it in my opinion. I am not the best judge of real world value on these as I don’t care for 91/30s personally and don’t closely follow them but it seems like you got it for at least $80-$100 less than I would assume would be a normal price. Nice pickup regardless!
  3. Outstanding pickup. I let a similar one get away from me not long ago and have been kicking myself since. Gotta love those Mauser crests!
  4. Welcome aboard, from just up the road!
  5. Welcome to the forum. Good group of folks here!
  6. This link should help you keep an eye on the CMP South store... http://forums.thecmp.org/forumdisplay.php?f=74
  7. There is actually one coming up in Sparta this weekend I believe, Lebanon too. If I am in town I will probably check out the Sparta show at some point. In my past experience there hasn’t been much C&R stuff at it but you never know!
  8. S&R Guns in Cookeville usually has one or two on the shelf. Haven’t been there in a few weeks but they might be worth a look if you are in the area.
  9. I saw a 1900 Oberndorf receiver M38 once in a local shop. Don’t recall if it had the micrometer sight on it but it was in great shape overall. Like an idiot, I didn’t buy it...
  10. ...then the younger...it’s a 1942 Husqvarna. Can’t seem to load more photos for some reason!
  11. I haven’t shared anything in a while and I figure some of you might enjoy these photos of a couple somewhat recent additions, a pair of Swedish M38s. Both are all matching and function extremely well, which I suppose fits with their reputation. I recommend a Swedish Mauser to any surplus shooter/collector. First the older...

  13. Welcome aboard. SE TN is a scenic place and I am excited for you at your transition into free living!
  14. Welcome aboard and thanks for your service!
  15. My wife and I have grown to enjoy Cookeville and the surrounding area so I might suggest checking the area out as well. You will enjoy TN regardless of the area as long as you avoid the larger cities. A dramatic improvement over IL.
  16. I agree with what others have said. Post photos for discussion in the Curio and Relic or message folks here and then list them for sale. I agree that Grayfox would be a solid resource in this area as well. Best of luck with it. You are doing an honorable thing trying to help the family through this!
  17. Welcome aboard from Cookeville!

  20. Welcome aboard from just a bit west of you. TN is a great place and you are in a pretty part of the state as well!
