  1. Maybe the holy shetiorite. If the maker gets the asking price then two things are evident. One, I'm doing the wrong thing for a career. Two, I need to fabricate grips for them out of sacred cow dung and sell them to the buyer of the guns for a $1M a pair. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  3. I am biased and coming from a place where I grew up with shooting guns, had training as a police officer, and I’m not afraid to die to save the lives of others. Our society and schools have changed over time. Guns have always been plentiful. There weren’t shootings in schools 50 years ago. The schools weren’t gun free zones. So the cause of the problem isn’t the schools being a gun free zone. Back when I was in elementary school I heard tale of a teacher in a really rough school, I think it was a place like Detroit or New York, pulling a gun out and shooting a picture of President Washington in the head. The problem, as I perceive it, is multi-faceted. Children are no longer disciplined the way they use to be and if there is physical discipline the adult tends to face abuse investigation or charges. Children, in general, do not respect adults and authority as they use to. These children grow up to be adults exhibiting the same lack of respect and thoughts of entitlement. There is insufficient places for the severely mentally ill to be controlled while getting treatment. The list goes further but I have rambled on enough. By the way, I bet many of you would be surprised by the number of people Concealed Carrying in church. Our society has a serious problem that isn’t fixed by Concealed Carry, but it helps to treat the symptoms. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. The shooters are obviously not thinking as what the majority of us would consider rational. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. That would be nice however, my thought is better an armed teacher with a CCP than one without any gun when a shooter busts into the classroom. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. Personally, if a teacher (anywhere) can pass a psyc. exam and have a CC permit I would love it if they carried! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. Anything that's functional! Better than none at all. [emoji6] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. I'm not concerned about that. If it were something like a Dessert Eagle then there would be no question. LOL Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. I was wanting to know if altering (file/cut) my trigger guard (up by where it meets the flat area) by a few mm would potentially cause an issue down the road. The laser sight I have would fit much better if I filed a 90% angle into the top front curve so the back of the laser would sit in it nicely verses the back 90% edge of the laser hitting on the rounded guard. Y'all's input would be greatly appreciated. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. Yeah... She made it ugly (or at least her lawyer did) and for life of me I couldn't understand why because she's the one who was having an affair and wanted out. But that's history and I'm super blessed with a good wife now (13 years and counting)! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. Sadly, no. Roughly 18 years ago a divorce happened and I had to liquidate to stay afloat while the now ex had everything tied up. She even threw out the box I had for it with the original grips, back sight, and receipt from when I bought it new in 1980. I'm just now getting to the point that I'm financially stable enough to get a few guns to have around for home/self defense (and modifying them to my liking). I miss my Python! It was a very fine revolver in perfect condition. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. Thank you. I honestly didn't aim (just point-n-shoot) and I really didn't take my time (with about one to two seconds between shots) like I should have. I need to sight it in (new Wilson Fire Sights I believe) and practice with it. It's quite different than my trusty 6" Colt Python. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. I just completed mine six days ago. I guess I did ok considering I hadn't shot in 12 years and it was with a new S&W SD9VE (first semi-automatic I've ever owned or shot). I think I will get better with more range time. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. Passed the written exam with a 96% and shot 100% for my Concealed Carry Permit. Also, if I’m lucky, I have a possibility of getting a SD9VE upper slide assembly (complete with barrel) for fairly cheep ($50). If I’m lucky enough to get it then custom milling of two front side openings (each side), two top openings, and barrel porting is in the future! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
