If you shoot it enough, you’ll be surprised what it is capable of.

You'll really be surprised what a .380 is capable of with the new Federal .380 ACP Hydra-Shok Deep ammo!  In ballistic gelatin it not only expands to about 1.4 times its original diameter but also penetrates to 13 inches, exceeding the FBI's minimum penetration standard (the first and only .380 ammo to ever do so.)

This is a game changer.  An in-depth review can be found here:  SHOT Show: A review of Federal’s Hydra-Shok Deep ammo (police1.com)

This great ammo is now available in .380,  .38+P,  9mm,  and .45.   LEOs have been gobbling it up but it's gradually getting easier to find.

No worries, pop pop. I have a year (at least) to finish researching.

Hey fellas, regarding system from Amazon, in my experience Amazon order history is retained until manually removed, so if you didn't do that, just look back at your order history on the website to see exactly what you got.

The ATF gets a guy to get on TGO and look at the guns for sale section. When they see sold and it's the same guy over and over, he'll get a visit. Now multiply that by every gun forum. Also Facebook has a bunch of empty gun boxes for sale that end up selling for $600-$700.

I think we all fear and would hate the ATF's disrespect of our 2A rights about what you said, but have any TGO frequent flyers actually had a "visit?"

  4. I have both the LCP Max and the Ruger Max 9.  FWIW, I think they're both absolutely terrific.  I'll be selling some other guns on here soon, since I don't see their continuing need in terms of concealability, now that I have these options.

And also in terms of effective firepower.  If you haven't looked into Federal's Hydra-Shok Deep ammo, and what's been tested and written about it, please take a look!.  Not just the basic Hydra-Shok, but the Deep.

The FBI and other LE agencies soaked up this ammo for quite a while but now you can get it.  It's revolutionary.  A Federal HSD out of a .380 is actually respectable and immpressive.   Terrific in  the 9mm.   Crazy in .45.  Take a look.

    Merry Christmas to all!

  5. To Mods:  Please take these automatic warning messages down.  This seller has 38 positive accolades, and these warnings are distracting and probably hurting our collective commerce, especially when they are the FIRST thing everyone sees when we see a post of something for sale.  You're overdoing it.  I sent a message to Todd suggesting that the warning should appear at the sign-in level.  We don't need to be beaten up at every level downstream.   Q

  6. If I had to do only one (and you say I do!) I'd go with the .357 5-shot, which can defend you against anything in our region, e.g. bears.   One extra round out of a .38 won't do you any good in that scenario because you won't get that many rounds off anyway, and if by chance you did, you're shredded meat.

    Hey y'all,

New to the site and wanted to drop in so people start see my handle. I'll likely be using the forum to buy sell trade over time so just starting to build the trust now.

He is, totally...spending eternity in hell.

As a Christian, it is hard for me to see how God can use this horrific tragedy for good.

I do know adding my prayers to those of the faithful are heard and will make a difference.

God can do anything, and does.  Adding my prayers along with you.....Amen!

You're right. I'm wondering why I'm getting such different answers every time I Google it. Someone told me rates had gone over 6% last week and when I googled it, below is what came up.

It does appear rates are less than that though so that's clearly bad info. Nerd Wallet is saying 5.35% for a 30 year fixed which is basically what you wrote.

Yeah, somebody made a boo-boo.  They transposed a "6" for a "5" on the 30 yr rate on April 19th.  Very unusual for bankrate.com -- they are usually spot-on with everything they do.  Must've been either an old guy or a newbie!

I'm just thankful I'm not trying to buy a house right now. The 30 year fixed rate is now 6.75%.

I plugged that into my mortgage calculator and if I had that interest rate my monthly mortgage payment would be over $750 higher. Things are about to get interesting.

Erik, I don't know where you're finding that 6.75%  30 yr rate.  That would imply a rock--bottom credit score, and I seriously doubt you're there!

Average TN 30 yr fixed rate as of today is 4.7% to 5.3% depending on various factors.

Google these terms  "average 30 year mortgage rate today tennessee"  and you will see a multitude of loans in that range.

  12. It is true that for the vast majority of investors the best chance for long term success is the classic buy and hold.

That is, and always has been, an absolute winner over very long term time frames.

The reason why the vast majority can't trade short term is because they trade on greed, excitement, fear, and panic.

Emotions have no room in intelligent investing, which is as cool and calm as a shooter in a 1000 yard competition.

Been trading for 45 years.  Lost a lot, but won more.  You cannot go into a trade thinking -- "Oh my god I hope this goes up!" or "Come on, don't let this sucker dip down now!"   There is NO ROOM FOR EMOTION.

If you can lose the emotional element, and can just be analytical and objective, you're on a good start.  If you are experienced enough to have emotions of ice, and good analytical skills, game on!

If you can't do these things, (and you probably can't and shouldn't,) then go buy a mutual fund or index ETF and hang on.  And when the SHTF, back up the truck and load up like crazy.   But that's probably when you'll sell.......oh yikes

I have the gift of buying hi and selling low. I wish i could do that for a living 😉

You CAN do that for a living, if you're reliable at it.  Let me know what you're doing, I'll do the opposite X4, I'll send you back your original investment + 20%, and you win, but I win more.   THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!
