  1. Hey Sam, how much for 1000 9mm FMJ's and will you have any W231?
  2. For EDC I have a Streamlight ProTac 1L.  It is the prefect size for me and more than bright enough for anything I have ever needed it for.  I am not real rough with it so I cannot speak to that but I have dropped it a couple of times and had it in my pocket everyday with keys and a knife for the past year or two,  Other than the finish wearing off it still works great.  I tried the ProTac 2L and while it was a little brighter and had a longer run time it was 1 1/2 to 2 times the length and seemed too long for EDC, it is better suited for home use.   i also carry a little Microstream and it has been great also.  Throw a AAA lithium battery in there and it is good to go.   Just my $0.02.
  3. I probably should have explained a little better when I posted this.  While I didn't learn much if any from this I liked the fact that is was all of the major talking points in one video.   I got this from a Facebook friend that is normally very liberal and supported Obama in most of his endeavors.  He has recently gotten in to the gun culture and I'm seeing him slowly coming over to our side.  When he posted this he said it might sound a little radical but the arguments are sound.  I was blown away when I read what he said and thought if it made him feel this way then it should work for others that though the same way he used to.
  4. Just found this video and wanted to share.  Did a quick search of the site and didn't find it anywhere so I apologize if it has already been posted.   http://youtu.be/20RoAfflGCM
  5. Hey Dolomite,   Do you happen to have a link to the RCBS you suggest?  Can you do both pistol and rifle with it, specifically 9mm and 5.56?   Thanks.
  6. Did anyone go out to this today?  Just wondering how it was and if it would be worth checking out.  Looking specifically for reloading supplies,   Thanks
  7. You think that is bad check this crap out.  After reading some of the things these "Christians" had to say I about lost it.    http://www.bravotv.com/thicker-than-water
  8. I've heard the same story from the sporting goods guy at my local Wallyworld.  He says the same couple of guys come in almost every morning and buy up all of the 9mm and .22.  He said he thinks one of them represents the LGS which I'm sure means they buy up what they can and sell it at quite a markup across the street.
  9. How difficult will it be to get projectiles in the future with the last remaining lead smelter in the US closing?  i would think that there would be a big run on all projectiles but I could be wrong.
  10. PSA's regular price is in line with what BCM is charging for theirs so it would seem they should be the same quality. If all of the specs are the same how do you tell by looking at them if one is a better quality than another? Sent from my SPH-L720 using Tapatalk
  11. I'm with everyone else.  One in .357 would be great.
  12. There are so many good posts here.  We moved out to Collierville for the schools and while it was fine for my stepson all the way through high school, his father would never let him be home schooled, we have decided to home school my son. A lot of the posts about one income families are spot on, it is tough at times.  I'm lucky in that the wife doesn't care about keeping up with our friends, where husband and wife both work and live in really nice neighborhoods and have expensive cars.  We are much more practical than that.    We ran in to the same issues with teachers that don't care.  Second grade was a complete waste to my son.  His teacher was older and knew she couldn't be fired.  He was so bored and they accomplished so little that year.  She wouldn't even let them draw or be creative because of some goofy rule in her classroom.  He's in 5th grade now but his 4th grade class had around 27 kids in his class and with the city/county school merger his school was picking up another 200 students from the Memphis city schools.  At that point my wife looked in to it and we have never looked back.  Of course my wife is very smart and she enjoys these type of things(grammar nazi, loves to figure out problems, is organized) so I am blessed in that respect.   I know this isn't for everyone.  The kid has to be up for it and the parent doing the teaching has to be prepared also but if you are lucky enough to have both of them able to then it is a great thing, especially after reading information about the common core being taught now.
  13. http://palmettostatearmory.com/index.php/ar-15-05/upper-parts/bolt-carrier-groups/palmetto-state-armory-5-56-bolt-carrier-group.html   Has anyone checked this out?  The specs on the PSA read almost exactly the same as the specs for the BCM minus the BCM logo. Is it possible that PSA are getting these from BCM unmarked and putting their logo on it?   How does the quality of the BCM BCG match up to the quality of the CMT bolt being offered in the group buy?
  14. Cool, thanks. I didn't know if they had a school there like at central church. Not sure if central is posted either though. Sent from my SPH-L720 using Tapatalk
  15. Does anyone know if Hope church in Cordova is posted? Thanks Sent from my SPH-L720 using Tapatalk
  16. After being enlightened I have changed my mind again and decided to get one of the billet lowers.  Thanks for all the help everyone and a shout out to TDR for helping me see the light.  :pleased:
  17. Thanks guys. Looks like I may back out of the TGO lower billet buy then. Sent from my SPH-L720 using Tapatalk now Free
  18. While the billet does look nice does it have any advantage over a regular lower? Sent from my SPH-L720 using Tapatalk 4
  19. Anyone picked up one of the Spikes Tactical blem lowers?  I have a regular Spikes lower and like the fit and finish of it, better than the PSA lower I picked up a while ago.  Spikes finish just feels better to me.   Wondering how bad the blems could be on it.   In line to get one of the TGO branded lowers but can get this for quite a bit cheaper and just looking for advice.   Thanks.
  20. Did anyone go today? Was it any good.  Looking mainly for reloading supplies.  Didn't know if DLM was going to be there this weekend.
  21. Sent from my SPH-L720 using Tapatalk 2 Hey 6.8, Didn't I read somewhere on here that you are working with David? If so does he still have the 10% off for TGO members?
  22. Oh my.... Sandals with white socks.  Sounds like we have a fashionista on our hands!
  23. I'm interested in a lower, depending on the price.   Memphis FFL will also matter. Heard Guns and Ammo wanted like $100 or more for a transfer so couldn't do that.   Thanks.
