  1. Have you consider the AMD Ryzen CPUS. AMD has stepped up their game in the last few years.
  2. Could be, mine was after I left the AF and DoD contracting so I was read out of the programs.
  3. If you ever held a government clearance this will happen to you quite a bit. When I lived in NH it happened all the time. For pistols they used state police checks and I was always approved instantly. For long guns they used NICS and I always was delayed. After looking into it I was told it was due to having been fingerprinted in the federal system which flags you for a deeper check.
  4. I guess I misunderstood what this bill was going to enable. I thought it was basically going to treat your TN permit just like your TN drivers license in the other states, ie Full faith and credit. I did not think it was going to have anything to do with the feds deciding who got a permit.
  5. Sometimes the PS4 "forgets" its settings. Check under the audio options and verify the mic is set to headset.
  6. Here are a few from my before kids days. No longer have em, but will again someday 1997 Trans Am 2008 Z06 05 SRT-4 and 06 GTO
  7. If you like pickups, it would be hard to beat the Diesel Colorado 369 ft-lb, 181 HP with 31MPG (17-18MPG towing a 2.5 ton trailer) on the highway.  If I didn't already have a truck I think I would be driving one of those.
  8. Not sure if this is still the case but the owners manual states for the JK:   "Checking Oil Level To assure proper lubrication of your vehicle’s engine, the engine oil must be maintained at the correct level. The engine oil level should be checked five minutes after a warmed up engine has been shut off."
  9. Unless you are going to install sod, it is best to wait until fall to seed anyway.
  10. I currently have 2 in my truck, one front facing and one rear.  Both have been problem free and do a good job. I use this as front facing: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00GRYT5QI/ref=od_aui_detailpages00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 and this rear: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00F2GMUPU/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o09_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1   I put a 32 GB card in both, at 1080p you will get about 8 hours of video before it starts overwriting.  Also do not keep the G sensor at the default or you will quickly get locked video file with every bump you hit in the road.
  11. Of your choices, I would say you only really have 2 choices, the Note4 or S6 (I have both phones).  The S6 edge is not worth the extra money as the edge does nothing.  The note edge does have a functional edge (ie it is not just a wrap around of the screen) but it is not worth the extra money over the standard note unless you just want the looks.  Between the S6 and the Note4 it would depend on what you want most.  If you want something that is more of a productivity tool then the note 4 hands down.  That s-pen is fantastic.  If you don't see yourself using the pen and don't want the larger screen, then the S6 will be great.
  12.  I switched to comcast business at 99.95 a month for 2 years.  No caps and 50Mbps connection.  Yes it is more than getting consumer but you also get priority service and since I have switched I have not had one outage (3 months now).  Before I would have to reset my modem at least once a month to get service back. Of course it helps that my company picks up half the bill each month.
  13. There is one issue with NICS and I found this out when I lived in NH.  In NH all pistol approvals went to the state police.  I would go in, get approved and walk out with the pistol.  All long guns were done NICS, I would walk in, get a hold on the rifle and have to come back in a day or two for the rifle.  The reason is (or at least was back in 2000) that if NICS is run and your finger prints show up in a federal database, there is not instant approval.  As I held a TS clearance when I was in the military and worked for a few 3 letter agencies, my finger prints are all over the databases.  When I asked about it that was the explanation I was given for the delay on the NICS.
  14. Stationed Key West NAS for 4 years.  Lived on Truman Annex, had access to the coast guard pier for fishing and a good friend with a 20 Ft aquasport (who is now has Almost There Charters), would go back to that in a heart beat.  I like TN, but I love salt water fishing.
  15. When I was working in Brentwood during the week, I was staying at the Embassy Suites (Cool Springs) there.  Since I was there so much it was $99 a night but if you call ahead you can usually get a room for $129-139.  Considering you get free breakfast and a free drinks and snacks in the evening, it isn't bad.  Also as someone mentioned, Hampton Inn in the same area was $89-109  a night.
  16.   You are fine carrying in VA (they honor TN permit), just make sure you don't hit MD or DC with it on you, so if you are driving and hit a bridge, you are going to hit one or the other.  When I visit my parents in MD, I have to disarm at the McDs right before the bridge.
  17. Slow Burn series is another take on the "zombie" genre.  I found the first book in one of the 6 book collections amazon does for .99, and was hooked.  It's worth a read especially since it is free right now on amazon kindle.  The characters are likeable and the story moves along at a good pace.  Warning, it might hook you, I have read them all and have not really been disappointed in any of them.      http://www.amazon.com/Slow-Burn-Zero-Day-Book-ebook/dp/B00E4VT778/ref=sr_1_1?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1408808536&sr=1-1&keywords=slow+burn
  18. Another thing missing from this discussion is since TN now has data caps, your neighbor can stream all he wants and not hit is cap.. I guess you can pay the overages.   I do not own a comcast router and use a standard docsis 3 modem hooked to my own router so it won't affect me until they decide I have to use their equipment.
  19. When I lived in NH a shop did that as well.  Not sure how they are doing it, but the shop in NH had a 3 day no hassle return for credit.  However the return credit was for 80-85% of the value and then the gun was sold as used.  Not a bad deal if you hate the pistol after you shoot it though.
  20. I own one and haven't had any issues with it.  Granted I haven't shot it much (~100 rnds) but it would rapid fire the Winchester LE Low recoil buck without an issue.  I know some semi-autos have issues with the low recoil stuff but the SPX does not.  I have the non-pistol grip model, it points well for me.  The only "issue" I had was with the initial break down, the extension tube was tight and was a bugger to get free.
  21. unless you go crazy and lexan those bad boys!
  22. If you are looking for one that is almost un-pickable, look at a mul-t-lock.  My buddy showed me how easy normal locks are to pick if you know what you are doing.  The Schlage Primus and the Medeco are also very good at resisting key bumping.
  23. Correct me if I am wrong and I may be, but I was told if you have a legal M16, then that can be used in almost any configuration since the receiver is already a registered class 3.   for example, if I have a registered m16 receiver I can slap any upper on and and be good (just can't add a suppressor without another stamp).
  24. Since it hasn't  been asked, what power supply are you using and how old is it?   A failing power supply can imitate ban RAM, bad vid card and just about anything else.  One of my gaming PCs was having strange issue.  Games would stutter or crash and whenever I tried to run 3Dmark it would crash and lock the system.  I did all the normal troubleshooting tips and finally checked the PS.  The voltages were fluctuating well out of spec.  Replaced the power supply and haven't had an issue since.
