    Yep. They used to have the truckers call in and vote if they wanted the DJ to play it or not. It usually won but not a lot of competition on the air at 4am, lol!

    If you ever find out let me know. I've been hunting that recording for years. I heard it on the old Road Gang Show on WWL out of New Orleans in the 90s. It does have the chorus lyrics: "Quantrill came riding down like thunder from the hills." It is a very long folk song. At least 15 minutes long. I think the DJs played it when they needed a long break, lol. Internet has never heard of it as far as I can find.
