Someone please explain what the hell this guy is doing.

LOL. Definitely above mine. There's always someone selling something...and nothing new under the sun. -

I am not advocating the technique or anything, but it's called a Center Axis Relock . Paul Castle is the guy behind it IIRC and it's been around for a bit now. I was first exposed to it in or around 2005... I know very little about it other than that. Just not anything I looked much into. -
In the video he's using caps and/or strike anywhere matches for his priming compound.and using acetone and/or water to form it...very tedious and slow process...buy interesting info nonetheless. I too would like to see a mold that drops several bullets of the same weight at a time. His mold drops 2 different weight bullets.IIRC 38 gr and 25 gr. I wonder how powder coating .22 cal rimfire bullets would work for increased velocities? I guess a lot would depend on barrel size and whether or not you have a sizing mold... Oh yeah...he's using blackpower in the vid but insinuated smokeless powders would work.

While it's not something I plan on delving into at the moment, it is pretty darn interesting. The videos in particular. Pretty darn clever actually. Thanks 10-Ring. :hat:

Excellent suggestion Clod Stomper. I don't know where you are in TN bird, but I and several friends plan to attend an Appleseed in East TN in November. I know I'm looking forward to it. http://appleseedinfo.org/search-states-location.php?locationid=534&id_event=2972

Good SHTF Survival Fiction Books

For those that haven't read Bracken's "Enemies Trilogy" they are free on kindle through Wednesday. http://westernrifleshooters.wordpress.com/2014/07/14/pass-the-word-2/ These book are eerily on target... -
Dolomite; That is some of the most sane, lucid, and comm sense statements I have seen, heard, or read in some time. Thank you. I honestly believe what you wrote reflects the intent of our founding fathers. Social Engineering has bastardized that intent imho. Each State could go a long way towards getting us back to where we belong through exercise of the 10th amendment and nullification... if the States weren't so pitifully addicted to our tax dollars that flow out of Washington that is.

I will be there and I'm looking forward to it as well. -
Nobody is beating up on you Rghyland. And my opinion is just that, my opinion. We all face, or will face, situations such as you describe. It's just a fact of life that there are asshat's out there, and serious predators as well. I have lawfully carried for about 25 years now. I had to learn long ago to keep my ego in check and to not be goaded into something I may have previously considered in my testosterone filled youth. I am not saying that's you Sir, I am talking about me...but it may be food for thought. Walk away from an insult or an idiot....that's usually a combined thing anyway. But train to develop the appropriate mindset and skills necessary to protect those entrusted to your care, as well as yourself. I can't recommend quality professional training enough. I know it was a paradigm shift for me those many years ago...and I am still learning. But mostly I learned that I didn't know what I didn't know. You stated you are "thinking"...That's the first step good Sir. :pleased:

You have knowledge that a weapon may well be interjected into an encounter even if the meathead trying to start some crap doesn't...you will be held to account for this legally, morally, and ethically. And you will know when you are in fear for your life. No one can tell you that. Please consider that afterwards, you, and possibly your attorney, must be able to articulate and/or demonstrate that these states existed: Ability - Opportunity - Jeopardy... on the part of the attacker. Avoidance, Deterrence & De-escalation should be a priority for all of us. Let them yell. If you must use lethal force, then you must. But "mutual combat" ? Not a good idea imho... Some quality firearms training from a reputable instructor might well prove beneficial, definitely educational. :2cents:

"Wish You Were Here" is probably my favorite album by Pink Floyd...although "Dark Side of the Moon" is a close second. I saw them during the "Animals" tour at the Empire Pool, Wembly in 1977. They played a couple of songs from "Wish" and their encore was "Us and Them" iirc. Pretty darn awesome concert for a (then) young fella. :pleased: I'll certainly give any of their works a listen to... And Yes No_One...like me, they are in fact still alive LOL

Tough call: Some of my favorites are, True Romance...a Tarantino film...Clarence and Alabama are not your everyday couple...and Val Kilmer as the ghost of Elvis...awesome... :pleased: Fight Club...I never get tired of watching it. The Jerk...because most of us have a "special purpose". The original Michael Mann's "Manhunter"... Iron Butterfly's "Inagodadivada" in the last action scene kicks butt! Of course there's "Silence of the Lambs" , "T2", "Pulp Fiction", "V"....can't pick just one.

Midway lowers shipping charges
Jamie Jackson replied to Raoul's topic in Firearms Gear and Accessories
Geez Gordon...They obviously need an idiot screening process for their clerks. Sorry about that BS. Good greif. I too think that Midway has taken advantage of us with their overpriced shipping in the past year or so...but so many things have become a "new norm" since Sandy Hook. That doesn't make it right, and I'm happy to see Midway making their shipping more realistic. I know I have to pay a lot closer attention and do a lot more shopping around that I did in the past. -

That looks to be good news. I know I'm kinda dense sometimes guys...but Lee Alox now has a HazMat fee? Is it the same as this? Link: http://www.midwayusa.com/product/466811/lee-alox-bullet-lube-4-oz-liquid Under shipping it lists as No HazMat. Earlier this year I ordered a Lee sizer Kit, a couple of hundred bullets and a Lee Case trimmer/cutter and the shipping was $15.00 UPS....not great I know...but no HazMat fee Sizer: http://www.midwayusa.com/product/342812/lee-bullet-lube-and-size-kit-357-diameter Am I misunderstanding something? My Google-fu is weak because I did try to search out... -

LOL Robert, so many books in this genre suffer the same malady. I've just come to accept it as a part of "how it goes"... :pleased: Just a head's up: "Forsaking Home" (book 4) by A. American" will release tomorrow. I had preordered it some time ago and it shipped yesterday and will arrive tomorrow. I do like my Amazon Prime. -
I ran across this thread using the "search" function as I'm looking into some Red Dot options. jcj...How is the PA AA Battery running for you? Are you still pleased with it? And what did you find out about battery life? Erik...How is the PA Micro working out for you? Quality? Durability? I have a little AK project I'm working on and I'm hoping one of these might fill the bill as they are certainly within the price range I'm considering.

You're welcome my friend. It was RobertNashville that originally recommended it in this thread. It's written by a physician around Nashville... so it's an interesting perspective...to me at least...since I spent the majority of my waking hours with a fine group of Constitution Loving, Second Amendment exercising ER Physicians and RN's. :pleased: I hope you enjoy it and would like to hear your feedback if you do read it.
