  1. Thank all of you for your input. I have decided to try the wrap design from standforthe2nd. I will try and post an update after I have used it for a while.
  2. That does not require a belt and does not interfere with the ostomy. I pocket carry a Ruger LCP, but want to start carrying my Glock. I have tried using one of my holsters I own already and just clipping it to my pants and supporting it with my suspenders but that gets a little awkward. Knowing the collective wisdom of this group I'm hoping some one can come up with a great solution.
  3. Hello, it has been quite sometime since I posted in this forum, although I do browse and read quite often. Thanks to bladder cancer I now have to wear an ostomy pouch. It is an external bladder my urine collects in and I drain every couple of hours. The pouch connects to a stoma which is right below my waistband. I wear suspenders because if I wear a belt it presses down on the stoma/ostomy pouch affecting the flow of urine to the pouch and things get messy. I am looking for holster I can carry my G19 in that is comfortable for wear over a full day. I have seen two advertised on the internet that I am considering, they, like a LOT of holsters claim to be the best holster in the world. But anyone who has a pistol can tell you there is no such thing as the perfect holster. I own several from my pre cancer days. Anyway, one is from concealedcarry.com and one is from standforthe2nd.com. I am wondering if anyone here has any experience with either of the rigs? Or does anyone have a suggestion of a setup that might help me in my situation. Thanks in advance.
  4. Crossbreed Supertuck. I've been carrying my G19 in one for about 6 years now. Had one problem, a broken clip, which they replaced in a very short time.
  5. I am a right handed person, but due to medical events I am no longer able to shoot long guns right handed and want to start shooting long guns left handed, my right arm and hand still work its just I am no longer able to rest the stock of a weapon in my right shoulder. At the moment my long guns are a 10/22 and Mossberg 500.  I want to add an AR soon but would like to become comfortable shooting long guns left handed first. Besides going to the range and throwing lead downrange any tips?
  6. Can you say drug deal gone bad. One local news source reported that the "victim" was not interested in filling a report just wanted to hurry up and get out of town. Having no cause for search LE was unable to search the vics automobile. I married in 1978 and out 1st apartment was was just across I-24 from the mall. The mall had just opened and we used to spend our Sunday afternoons strolling the huge mall's (at that time I believe it was the largest in Nashville) corridors. How the world has changed. I would never venture into that part of Nashville now without at least 2 weapons for personal defense.
  7. Saw this interview last night. Sniper Breaks Record With Tennessee Rifle - Nashville News Story - WSMV Nashville
  8. Is the Bushnell made anymore? Every site that carried it, even the Bushnell site says out or stock or no longer available. Will probably try to find the Simmons.
  9. Thanks for alll the replies. I plan on using this gun at the range, and maybe some small game hunting. I haven't owned a semi-automatic rifle of any type before and have never used a schoped rifle so this will be a learning process.
  10. Just picked up a Ruger 10/22 carbine. What scope would you recomend? Trying to keep it under $50.00. Thanks in advance.
  11. I don't think we need another useless law on the books. We already have the option of carrying at work, as long as our employer does not object. I do not see how this bill can do anything except generate controversy. If I were a business owner/manager I sure would not want another law running my business. Instead of making new laws, I suggest our "law makers" become "law repealer's" and remove the host of laws currently on the books.
  12. As a former Wal-Mart employee in the Great state of Tennessee I thought I would add my 2 cents worth. I hired on with WM last November. During my new hire training I asked what is WM's policy in regard to OC/CC. I was told WM does not have a policy for customers, but for employee's we were not to carry. They never noticed my Ruger LCP snuggled tightly to my left ankle.
  13. Thanks zeke for the info, that looks like a good holster.
  14. Anyone out there carry a Ruger LCP with Crimson Trace Laser grips that can recomend a good ankle holster? Currently using an Uncle Mike pocket holster, but would like more options for carry.
  15. I have talked to some of the guys at IDPA matches and most of the people are glad to see more 3 gun comming to IDPA. I do not own a rifle or shotgun that I can use in 3 gun and don't see me owning either in the near future. I have been shooting IDPA for a couple of years and really enjoy it. One of the great things about IDPA is the way the rules have kept the cost down. I just hope that there will continue to be plenty of pistol only matches in the I-D-Pistol-A for those of us who only own pistols.
