  1. Does anyone know where online I might be able to find a decent green laser that mounts on a Piccatinny rail? I have an FN57 that I'm trying to find a decent laser sight for and I'm having a lot of trouble finding one that a retired diabetic living on Social Security can afford, which means 80 dollars or LESS. Any help will be appreciated.
  2. Noooo...I don't glow in the dark, but it's not for lack of trying. I worked in TVA's nuclear power program for 6 years, so I got my share of exposure to ionizing radiation. I don't recommend it as a replacement for a good rail mounted flashlight. :=) Speaking of which does anybody know where I can buy a GOOD green laser sight to go on a Piccatinny rail? I've talked to more gun shops today than I have in a whole year and NOBODY has got one for less than a hundred and fifty dollars! I live on social security and I can't pay that much for a laser sight. Is there an online dealer that sells one for a DECENT price?
  3. Thank you all for the welcome. I think I might LIKE doing this. I'm new to it, but not new to shooting. I've owned guns for most of the 68 years I've been on this planet and shooting is the most fun you can have with your pants ON. :=)
  4. I'm sorry but I don't know how to do that. I'm completely new to posting in a forum. I have never done it before. Please forgive me if I did something wrong.
  5. I hope this is the correct way to do this as I am new to posting in any forum much less this one. I am a long time resident of the state of Tennessee and am a retired nuclear power instrument tech. I am partially disabled and I don't get out much except for doctor visits, grocery shopping, and to go to the range and shoot my FN handgun. I have been interested in firearms since I was child and have owned many types of firearms. My main interest now is handguns and I thought it would be fun to join a forum.

    Ruger 57

I like the 5.7mm caliber very much, and several years ago I purchased an FN 5.7mm semi-auto handgun and I love it more and more every time I shoot it. It is without peer the most reliable and fun to shoot handgun I have ever owned. I would not hesitate to carry this gun as a self defense weapon because I have seen video of many different test firings into ballistic gel and it produces a horrifying wound channel that I honestly believe would take down almost anyone. I used to own a larger caliber hand gun. It was a Ruger P-94 40 caliber, but truly my FN 57 shoots as hard as the Ruger ever did. Of course anyone is welcome to criticize, and completely free to do so. That's what makes this country a decent place to live.
