  1. I went. Very few tables, few dealers, a couple of traders. Apparently a good number of the traders with pistols got cleaned out pretty early Saturday, leaving more empty tables. Not sure if Lebanon show pulled folks away, but certainly not the expected crowd level mid day Saturday. Some prices fair, some out of line, even for the election run up.
  2. We've got several to choose from made by Catnapper. Let me know what you're looking for as far as style(overstuffed, nail head, traditional, modern), and I'll PM with our best price. We're placing an order tomorrow and were planning on putting some leather on the sales floor.
  3. Not sure if this is the right place for this post, and I sure hope I'm not breaking any rules by posting this. My wife and I have re-opened a furniture store that my grandfather ran for 20+ years in Sparta. We're keeping prices low and not playing the furniture marketing games(no markups to mark down, no finance games, etc...). We're a 2nd Amendment Friendly establishment, and I'd like to extend a 10% discount off any one item in the store to TGO members. Our store is Shaffield's Furniture, 140 Churchill Drive, Sparta, TN. Phone 931.837.7328. Shaffield's Furniture | Facebook We're open 9-6 Mon-Sat(5pm Wed). If I need to sponsor TGO in order to make this offer to members, please let me know TGO David. Thanks, Jacob Shaffield
  4. Until we went through losing 3 babies over the last couple years, two pretty far along and one full term, I can honestly say we had no concept of God's love for us. It was hard for us to put into words what we had come to understand until we saw this clip from Voddie Baucham.
  5. All they need to do is enact some blade control legislation. That will end this kind of violence immediately.
  6. Tried to ship to an individual using UPS yesterday. After 20 minutes in the lobby, the answer from their corporate desk(who was called by the clerk), was that if it's a handgun, it must go to a dealer.
  7. Still got the Mini14 scope mount...
  8. I'd make them give you their social security number, do a full background check, drug screen, and to make sure they're not impaired, do a field sobriety test. Or you could do what is required under law - nothing. I just ask to see a TN driver's license to prove residency. It's the buyer's responsibility to make sure they're not prohibited from owning a firearm.
  9. I used to work at Home Depot's headquarters. They pride themselves on hiring vets too. That's about the only thing that Bob Nardelli did right.
  10. Finally some real Change in Washington - chaning baseline number to make it look like we didn't just blow trillions on socialist economic principles that don't work. » White House Caught Altering Stimulus Baseline Projection by 7 Million Jobs - Big Government
  11. Interesting read at: American Thinker: The Two Obamas He's not really contradicting himself... he's got an evil twin. I wonder which one was born in Hawaii and which one was born in Kenya?
  12. One thing you may want to check is whether the brick is porous. My parents have to paint a water sealer on their brick almost every year, as water is seeping in through the brick and running down into their basement. The brick company was a little surprised by it, but didn't have any solutions for them other than painting the sealer.
  13. That's only because most guns don't come in pairs.... not ones you'd want to take out of the safe and shoot anyway...
  14. Bump... reminder for tomorrow... Easter's not about a rabbit dropping chocolate eggs.
  15. I put a remote power switch on an older guy's monitor at work and kept turning it off and on at different intervals... to the point he finally called tech support. At my next corporate job, we filled a few guy's desks with packing peanuts, turned drawers upside down, reprogrammed keyboards to type the wrong keys, etc.... When leaving that job, I did the respectful thing, gave notice, talked to my boss, talked to his boss, but they still required a letter of resignation. It was written, or more like drawn, in crayon by my 8 year old son. It was a nice picture of the 21 story building with a caption out my window that simply said "I Quit" with a space underlined for me to sign.
  16. Based on all of the locales listed, there aren't many members who haven't been invited to a church within close driving distance.
  17. With Easter coming up this Sunday, I know a lot of folks that don't normally darken the door of a church may be looking for a place to visit and celebrate the death and resurrection of Christ. I wanted to send out an open invite to anybody in the Upper Cumberlands to visit The River Community Church in Cookeville. We're a little more laid back than a lot of churches out there - wear your jeans(we do), enjoy some coffee, and meet a few new folks. The website for the church is www.therivercc.com. Services are 9-10:30ish, and 10:45 to 12ish I know I might get some negative responses on here from some of the less religious members, but I felt it needs to be said. No matter where you go, find somewhere you're comfortable and folks you don't mind being in the same room with for a couple of hours. Happy Easter
  18. I am posting a stainless B-Square scope mount for a Mini14, but the plate the goes in the side of the rifle is long gone... Not sure if it's replaceable, or maybe one of the users here owns the Mini14 Ranch Rifle it came off of.
  19. For reference, the gun shop with the best selection in the area is Outdoor Junction, and the black rifle experts in the area are at S&R Guns. Bend of the River is the local range... now you've got everything you need to know... well, that and the fact that you should have moved to Sparta instead.
  20. It's your option to drive a car or not. The state also does not provide insurance, regulate its cost, or make you pay for anybody else's insurance but your own. It doesn't task the IRS with confiscating tax returns and doesn't increase the tax rate to make sure everyone has adequate car insurance coverage. But that's about the best argument any liberal can come up with... If the typical liberal could rub those two brain cells together again, they might find a new argument.
  21. They'll buy the high points at the same price as a Nighthawk Custom and tell you it's the same thing because it cost the same.
  22. American Thinker Blog: The shocking truth about a fundamental right being denied to 55% of citizens Great Article. Read and discuss. Or Don't. Who cares...
  23. Canon 5D w/ 24-70MM F2.8l and 50mm f1.4, with a 580ex flash.
