  1. I just got the Sig P938 SAS model. Amazing gun, awesome trigger out of the box even better after about 100 rounds. Great sights and extremely accurate. Shoots as good as the EMP I used to have but a much better carry option. Fun and comfortable to shoot which is not the case for most small hand guns.

    Springfield emp?

I have one in 9mm and love it. By far my favorite weapon. I only have had issues with cheap ammo, so now use only quality factory ammo and have had no functional issues. It is a dream to shoot and supremely accurate for a gun so small, plus it's just plain cool. I would highy recommend the EMP.
  3. I really like mine my constant companion. Not a fun gun to shoot but it is what it is an emergency weapon. Super easy to carry good luck finding ammo! You did good, it's a keeper!
  4. +1 For point shooting and off hand shooting. Making an acurate measured shot with sights has a lot of Merritt, but most all defensive encounters happen much faster than you think.
  5. Pocket holster for sure my LCP is in my off hand front pocket both on and off duty. Does everything everyone else has said: keeps it clean and in the right spot.
  6. I say carry what you WILL carry my LCP is my constant companion on and off duty. G22 on duty, sometimes off, and the EMP most of time off duty. But there are plenty of times it's just me and the LCP.
  7. Very nice should hold off the zombies for a while!
  8. If you like the Ruger's I don't think you could go wrong with a SR9 or a P95. P95 is a bit big, but can be carried with the right holster and attire. I did it for a few months until I got my beloved EMP. Still love the gun and won't get rid of it, the EMP is just way more practical for EDC. A used P series Ruger should be easy to find and well within your price range, heck you could get a new one for just a few $$ more or in that budget if you stay blued. I think for a first gun 9mm is a great choice because of the price of ammo and you are gonna want to get out there and shoot some without breaking the bank. Just my . Good luck!

    Dry Fire Help

Funny I was just practicing this last night, quick draw aim to a point and dry fire, then try to hold steady and see where the sights are. I have to say I was impressed at just how close my aim was. I'm using a mini 1911 and it points naturally, like others have said this may be a bit of a struggle with the Glock grip angle. That is why I carry what I do, because it is such a natural point for me. It takes little to no adjustment on the sights after just pointing either one or two handed. Keep practicing it will come, or consider something with a more natural point for you and it should be much easier. JMHO. Good luck!
  10. +1 for OWB. Once you get used to it I think you will only go IWB if you have to. Since you have the rig and your attire will acomodate it I'd say give it a try, you don't have any thing to loose and plenty of comfort to gain. Just my .
  11. In 21 days it will be 15 years for my wife and I. We really have not made a big deal as the years have piled up, but now it is starting to seem like something special, since so many fail. We too are high school sweethearts and have had our off moments but have worked hard to make it work. We really grew up together and I could not immagine loosing her, we just work. Darn you KahrMan...now I need to go shoot something too.....
  12. Got some Meprolights for my P95 (gonna turn her into a true combat weapon). Was gonna try to tackle the install but chickened out. Who would yall recommend in the Nooga area?
  13. Well I'm no rattle snake expert but the patterns matched from the photo's I saw on Wikipedia, so I gave up the search there. If the little SOB would have been much bigger I think I'd have had to introduce him to Ms. Winchester 12ga but as it was I goterdun with a stick laying in the carport.
