I've been getting a ton of great information from the site over the last few years and wanted to pick everyone's brain with a question/issue I seem to be having. I've been a glock shooter for quite some time now and have always been a fan of the 4th gen 19 and the way in which it integrates with my hand and grip. I really feel as though I get a very solid grip on the pistol, as in there is no movement or wiggle as I fire the gun and it recoils. This leads me to my issue: I purchased a 4th gen 17 a few weeks ago and am noticing that I have to try very hard to control the pistol as well as I can control the 19. There feels to me like there is an increased "slop" in the way I grip the gun in a similar fashion to the 19. When I grip the 17 there is roughly 1/4" to 1/2' of grip that extends below my hands and for some reason I don't appear to have as solid a hold on the weapon as I do with the 19.
  2. At one point in my early Police career I owned 2 of the NOW most sought after pistols on the used market today. I had a 6 inch stainless Colt Python and a 6 inch blued steel .38 Colt Diamonback! They were the most gorgeous pistols I had ever seen and LUST took over and I had to own one of each! Also being younger and very stupid, I traded them off! I too wonder how the new offering will stack up against the originals! Hopefully exactly the same in every detail! click here
  3. Currently the 22 LR ammo that strikes the best balance of bullet weight and muzzle velocity to achieve the greatest power is CCI's Stinger 22 LR Ammo. This round has a 32 grain CPHP bullet loaded to a muzzle velocity of 1,640 fps. Cut the click speed if mouse runs too fast for pc
  4. I've known a few people who do carry anywhere and everywhere they can. I generally don't carry my gun anymore since cops here will go out of their way to harass you around here if you do and few if any of them know any of the firearms rules/regulations as they apply to citizens. The local government in my county is of the opinion that only police and other law enforcement agents should be carrying around firearms outside of designated shooting areas so you have to be VERY careful about where you carry your gun. cpstest
