How are you liking those? Are you experiencing any issues with them? I've been eying up the non bluetooth versions for awhile. I have over the ear electronic ear pro but sometimes have difficulty getting a good cheek weld on my rifles when using them so im looking for something a little different. LC

Lol you just built it and already want to sell it? It looks nice and I bet it will shoot but I'm not a fan of side chargers, being one of those danged ole southpaws. Charging handles with extended catches work much better for me. LC

Definitely have one of these on my list, but unsure about caliber just yet. I keep flopping back and forth from .308 and 6.5 Creedmoor. What grip is that? LC

I looked at the NSSF but it looks like you have to be a retailer or some kind of professional? I may look into GoA and SAF as well. I joined the USPSA yesterday. Looking forward to getting started! LC

Lol yeah, I was signed up for email alerts at Midsouth for when it came available. I got an email, logged in no more than 10 minutes later, and it was already gone. Think I'll give Vhit N-140 a try. It seems to be in stock everywhere and has a similar burn rate to Varget. LC

I would eventually like to compete. 3 gun interests me, but I do not currently have a shotgun. But my focus right now is f-class and possibly PRS if I can find somewhere around here that does it. I just need to join a local club so I can get out and practice and work on load development for my .308. Due to the scarcity of Varget, I've got to work up some loads with more commonly available powders. LC

just curious, what benefits come with joining any of these organizations? Im looking at joining my local sportsmans club, and they require membership of one of the above, or NRA, to be a member. Are there any requirements to join any of these? For example, im leaning towards USPSA, but I'm primarily focused on rifle competitons right now so wouldnt be shooting any pistol matches for awhile. Do i have to compete to join and stay a member of USPSA? I was previously a member of the NRA, but it seems everything has turned so political with them and thats not what I'm interested in. LC

I've got a buddy that uses an older style uniflow and swears by it. Very accurate and repeatable. I think just about any of the rotor design measures will have similar results. LC

My experience with this measure with ball powder is accuracy within .1 grains. Varget is the only stick/extruded powder ive put through it and its accurate to within .2 grains with that. https://www.midwayusa.com/product/101273579 https://www.midwayusa.com/product/1012732250?pid=190804 You can get a micrometer insert for the rotor to have repeatable results with different calibers. Just jot down the number in your reloading book for the grain weight. LC

Count my vote for a Savage. I'm a lefty so the Savage was a quick decision for me. Mine is a model 10FLP in .308. Out of the box it was an MOA rifle, then after I put some work into it, bedded the action, bell and carlson medalist stock, free floated the barrel all the way to the nut, etc its easily a sub moa rifle all day long. For dies it doesn't matter as long as you use the Forster lock rings. They're sold in sets separately at various places. I personally like Forsters benchrest dies for precision rifle. I use Hornady and Lee for all my pistol calibers. If the lock and load system interests you for the single stage, if your rock chucker has a removable bushing, Hornady makes a conversion kit to replace that bushing with their quick change female bushing. I did this on my Lee classic Cast single stage and love it. Die changes are super quick now and no more adjusting other than the micrometers on my seating dies. LC

I've resized plenty of .308 with One Shot, but you are correct, you gotta let it dry first for sure. Also make sure you get it in the inside of the case neck too. You're using the case lube, and not the cleaner lube, right? . My first press was a Lee 4 hole turret mounted to a plywood bench and I didn't have near the resistance you describe and one shot was all I had at the time. A rock chucker should handle that with no problem. Make sure your die is good and clean too as a gummed up die will present itself like you describe. Any good degreaser will work. I like KG3 but recently I've been using Hornadys One Shot cleaner and lube for all my dies and like the dry film lube it leaves on the exposed metal. Have a slight humidity problem out in my shop and it helps prevent rust issues. LC

The inline mount will help distribute the force a bit on your bench, but unless you have the support underneath, you may run into the same issue. Under my work surface, I have two 2x4 studs on edge running from the front of the bench to the back, and drilled through all the way with washers and lock nuts to mount the inline. I could probably stand on my press handle and it wouldn't flex. You may get away with MDF, as long as the structure underneath is beefy and you go through that. As far as bolting to the wall, you may be able to avoid it as long as you have enough weight on the bench. LC

Good to know! Definitely looking for like-minded shooters to learn from as well. Most of the people I know that shoot are not into competitons, long range, or anything of the sort. They shoot once a year to check their rifles zero before hunting season, then unless they actually luck up and see a deer, they won't shoot again until the following year lol. I had emailed them asking about an "open house day" or something like that to come check out the club, and asked about competitions held there and some other questions about membership but never heard back. But, like I said, that was at the beginning of all this Covid madness so probably bad timing. I'll have to see if finances allow for me to send in the application next week. Good to know its only 160. For some reason I was thinking it was much more. LC

Hello folks! New member here, been a long time resident of TN, member of several other forums but just recently found TGO. Love to shoot and reload, both pistol and rifle. Recently been interested in trying to get involved in some competitions, possibly 3-gun, but mostly interested in F Class and maybe PRS. Have shot out to 300 and held my own, but want to go farther. Need to find a place to stretch my rifles legs! Would love to shoot 1000 yards, and eventually tackle a mile, but only after I build the 6.5 Creed I've been planning. LC
