Must be something in the air. I'm going out of town tomorrow and this morning the check engine light came on in the car.  😡 Cyl 1 miss fire.  Probably not much to it. Just bad timing. Oh well, much to do today. I guess I'll just drive my truck. 🙄

Just had my Buick in Monday. Battery control module was bad. Glad it's under warranty.

I’ve got an O2 sensor, injector, plugs, and a coil pack ordered for his. If all that doesn’t fix it, it’s going to a mechanic.

Hopefully mine is just an injector.

I've stopped working in a shop. Only work on my own stuff now. Tony Day is still at it.

  3. So after seeing some of the work you guys do I didn't want topost something as silly as a new pair of grip panels. But hey, I'm proud of what I have and I like it.

So here is my Taurus 945 with new black linen micarta grip panels from Altamont. They fill out the hand without making the grip feel larger. May be only for show since the alloy frame contributes to extreme muzzle flip but we'll see after I get her to the range.

  4. That is just gorgeous! And Dad built it for you makes it that much better. Hope your family passes it down for many, many generations. I've never seen a cherry stock in person but I have seen them.

ask dad if he has a piece of walnut or if I need to bring my own! LOL!

Read my last post. Screw the police. It’s about a five mile walk up a mountain side to my house unless you drive or come from a couple of neighbors’ houses.

Either way, out here in the sticks, I’m going to know who you are.

Since you are a government dependent city boy, I don’t know how to help you. If you ever aspire to be an independent man, we can probably help.

HEY!!!! I resentthat!!!! just because I live in the city doesn't mean I'm dependent. I can take care of my own,,,learned when I lived in LaFayette. I have the first gen WYZE and am doing to upgrade to the new version as it has better night vision.

By the way, at one point I lived out near Pumpkin town so yeah I know the sticks! LOL

out near Parkhurst road, you know, where my family came from

private security company. unless you are an on duty law enforcement officer, following a speeder is a ticket able offense that adds danger to an already dangerous situation.  your admission to tailgating in an old Tacoma POS makes me more worried about your driving than his. at least when I go triple digits it's in something capable of doing so safely.

first car I owned after getting my license was a solid white like this one. retired cop cars are a great resource for second cars or people with small budget. they are well maintained and tough so they hold up well. they also provide some return on taxpayer investment.

LOL! It looks like somebody put a dirt bike motor on a Sportster.

I was surprised when I saw it had a belt drive and not chain and sprockets.

congrats! that's a good choice. the big thumper will do well for you I'm sure.

Google this: Honda Rebel 500.  I'm thinking about one of these to replace my BMW R1100RS which is just too much bike for this old guy.

    BTW, it's a 1994 w/ showroom looks and under 15,000 miles if anyone's interested......

I would be except for the two projects in my driveway waiting for my attention. Better if it were an RT (for me)

He may not have instigated the situation, but he sure responded poorly. Even if she started it and then got out to film and spin the story her way, she got what she wanted when he f-ed up and brandished his pistol.

No doubt. Lesson learned; keep it below line of sight and carry a caliber capable of penetrating sheet metal!

I think y'all are missing an important point here. EVERYBODY has a phone. EVERY phone has a camera. EVERY idiot loves to document even the slightest infraction or even imagined infraction against them.

DO NOT POSE FOR THE CAMERA!

agreed. in this instance a dash cam on he man's truck might have given a better idea of what went on. my point is if she was truly frightened she would never have exited her vehicle. gives me doubt that he instigated the confrontation.

  11. depending on price range and style, the small 250/300 Ninja is quite strong and durable. They are very light and very quick so a high level of responsibility is needed. I've also had two Bandit 600, they are good long dista nce bikes with sport bike looks and more upright riding position. A true sport bike like the Ninja is hard on wrists and I don't recommend sport bikes for distance.

  12. We are looking at half of the story and making judgement. She said he was tailgating her but then she pulls in behind and exits her vehicle to take a picture. If I felt threatened I would have stayed in my vehicle. If you pull in behind and exit your vehicle and approach, how am I to know YOU are not the threat. Castle doctrine extends to one's vehicle here.

All my experience with them is that they are an inexpensive but inferior firearm. They are clunky, and heavy, and have a low capacity and from what I have researched and observed, less reliable than most.

They are inexpensive, but I personally would  spend a little more for anything I was staking my life on

if I offended the original poster, I apologize.

i did think that folks had a seance of humor on this forum.

it has been my experience that all makers have quality issues at some point. Hi Point has built a very sturdy piece and all of their arms are of the same pattern. The carbine is ugly but I still want one. Also been my experience that you can make anything run reliably if you know how.

I did feel your comment was condescending for future reference. But I tend to be the same way and not apologetic for it. 😆

Only 8 rounds and as heavy as a Glock19 with twice the capacity.

Just a quick check on Bud's website tells me the Hi Point is $200 while the G19 is $550. And the glock is still ugly. If I'm low on funds or not a gun aficionado, I'll just take the Hi Point. Onw step up would be Kel Tec or SCCY.

My daughter's Hi Point is locked in my cabinet. And it never fails to go bang when directed to do so.
