  1. Think I got the dot sighted in. 89/90 rounds in the center circle at 25 yards standing, 9/10 shots (it broke the circle, I say it's 10/10) in the head circle at 10 yards standing. I'm pretty happy with this thing
  2. In my experience it mostly comes down to personal opinion, whatever works best for you. I have both cowitnessing and non-cowitnessing dots, I prefer the non since the window is already so small it feels cluttered to have the sights in there too. It might be useful if I forget to change a battery in three years, time will tell I guess. I took some pictures for examples but they don't do a good job of showing how it looks IRL. FN 509c, Holosun 507c, supressor height black sights: cowitness: center of window: Glock 48, Holosun 507k, standard height Ameriglo Agents: sights "aligned": center of window:
  3. I've been pondering a 9mm carbine of some sort for a while, and seeing grasshoppa's Stribog for sale in the Classified forum clinched it for me. Nashville Armory had one for an actually decent price so it followed me home yesterday, after a several hour wait for the "instant" background check. Apparently a lot of people are spending their stimulus payment on guns at the moment I'd be lying if I didn't admit a big part of wanting something like this is being able to toss it in a backpack, which I did as soon as I got home
  4. I think I was looking for 9mm AKs one day and found that deep in a Google image search
  5. I’m pretty tempted by the new PSD they have. Able to shoot 10mm and .40 S&W with a barrel change or 9mm with a new barrel and mag, depending on which caliber you want the conversion parts are included with the gun. RDS ready, multiple sight setups included, and about 6 grand less than the field pistol https://fkbrnous.com/psd/
  6. After my Grandfather passed a couple of years ago I got a photo album with about 60 pictures that he took or are of him from his time in Korea. Here's a sampling: I think this is at Bragg but I'm not positive, if anyone does know please say. (ok ok that last one isn't vintage, but it's a photo of a vintage gun photo right...)
  7. I bought new light-compatible holsters that would clear the dot after I got it installed, but I just took the trusty ol’ dremel cutoff wheel to my old ones for when I don’t want to carry that big aiwb rig.
  8. I looked at a 365xl recently, I think the XL slide will only accept the Sig romeoZero and Shield RMS-c directly. Having only read reviews and seen videos I'd go with the Shield dot, it's made of metal and seems more robust than the Sig. However it's also something like twice as expensive if that's a factor. If you go the adapter plate route I'm quite happy with my Holosun 507k.
  9. A couple of months ago I sent my G48 slide off to be milled for a Holosun 507k and once I got it zeroed my groups were much better than with open sights. I was amazed at how much easier and faster it was for me to be able to get good hits with the dot. It's my EDC, although after about a day and a half of appendix carry I swapped the extended barrel out for the factory one
  10. Howdy folks. Lifelong Nashvillian, lifelong gun owner, day-old forums member. Looking forward to checking the place out.
