Maybe it's time I get that M&P Shield I've been thinking about....
-
Anyone else playing the stock market? With things getting so depressed, might be a good time to pick up some stocks. Anyone have any tips and suggestions? Here is some of what I'm looking at. Costco - Down over 10%, has been a strong performer so might be a nice buy and hold for long term. Tesla - Yeah, they have been badly beaten up, down a LOT. But Doge is a 2 year term for Elon, after that he'll probably fall out of the lime light and the company may rebound. Rumble - Internet streaming service, pretty new, but starting to take off a little bit at a time, can get in cheap now and hold for long term success. A lot of people moving too it because Youtube has been beating content developers. Apple - They've taken a beating in the last few months, but they have announced their new iOS will be a complete redesign, the biggest in many years. So maybe that will spring them back when it comes out in September/October. Anyone else have any thoughts. NOTE : I'm not a professional, I don't advocate for anyone to buy anything, these are just my personal thoughts and opinions. Investing takes risk, invest wisely and please, do not take my advice, I've lost more than I've made.

I have thought about the Chinese mini-excavator, but something about it makes me feel like it wouldn’t be good enough. But I don’t really know. I guess i should go to a store and see what they have to say about them. I agree with the harbor freight stand alone, moving it around would be a pain in the butt. That’s why I’m thinking Tractor with attachment, gives me the best of both worlds.

I’ve been shopping around for a backhoe, something that I can use for digging and moving material around. I guess a tractor with a backhoe attachment would make the most sense. Unfortunately price tag wise, $25k is a bit steep for someone who just wants to use it from time to time. Was thinking of getting used, but anything that is $10k seems to always have a ton of problems. Anyone have any ideas or suggestions?

Of course, you need to make sure you know what is within your capabilities. And every situation is different, so yeah, just making general fundamental comment. Overall I’d do it myself, but if warranted and I didn’t think I could do it, I’d 100% have to pay someone to do it.

Personally for these prices, I'd buy myself a good chainsaw, a stump grinder, and a wood chipper and do it all myself. Right now I have an OK chainsaw, and a cheap wood chipper and probably would do it myself with just that. But for $4800, I could upgrade all of my equipment, do it myself, and still have the equipment at the end. Yeah, it would take longer, but not that much longer. I have an ECHO CM420, purchased at Home Depot, but I really want the STIHL 500i.

I feel that these speed cameras are illegal, you have the right to face your accuser. Fight it in court and you have no one to talk to unless they specifically have someone go over the video for each and every ticket they mail out. Personally I think that it is the duty of the citizens to not put up with this crap; and remove them where possible. As for the OP who got a speeding ticket in a school zone on a Saturday, I would fight that in court. Time does matter, the reason for the school zones (and they are often posted as such) is to protect kids, if the kids aren't there, they shouldn't be reduced speeds.

So far I have found that the sales on here have been great; people are very willing to work with you and you'll get the best price generally. I wouldn't be going to other sites, because that could bring out some nebulous people; but I would say that most buyers here aren't that type. Most are willing to show ID and meet you someplace of your choosing. I'd recommend selling here. Being in Nashville area, there are quite a few of us from the area who are OK with this process.

Welcome! I also have a house near Royal Range and have been there many times. I do find their prices to be a little bit higher, and I found that unless you're a member, the fees for transferring there is quite high. I have also been to Nashville Gun and Knife and found them to be really expensive, almost never buy anything there. As for transfers, I have done several through Arms & Ammo in Franklin, they were cheaper, and they are much smaller. Alway have a good time talking with the guys when I go there. Even my wife likes going with me. That being said, welcome, I've only been in the area for about 4 years now, so always learning new things and finding new people. So glad you're here!

Shooting down drones over your property!

I like the idea, but I don't like the thought of people who live just outside the city on ½ acres of land shooting at random things in the sky. Now if you're out in the country on 100+ acres of land, blast away, no one should be flying over your land. -

I want to add to my stockpile of ammo. I have a few thousand rounds of most of what I use; but would like to add. 1) Do I look for sales every month and buy one caliber that is on sale. (Most time complex but most savings) 2) Save for a couple of months and buy large quantities at once? (Middle for time and money) 3) Do I find a place and buy say one or two boxes of each caliber every month? (Easiest time, just order the same thing every month) Which method do people tend to use? I’m honestly thinking if there was an ammunition subscription service, that would be awesome. Something like I want “10,000 rounds of Federal X in 9mm, and 10,000 rounds in 45ACP, and 10,000 556, but spend no more than $100 per month.” Then the service would go out and every month send you something like 2 or 3 boxes of each caliber (keeping it under $100), until you’ve acquired 10,000 rounds. This way it doesn’t break your pocket, and less work for you. Any thoughts?

I have several generic AR15 rifles, but I’m thinking of buying something better, something lighter, and more accurate. I’m looking at things like the Springfield Saint Victor POF-USA Minuteman BCM Recce Just started looking and thinking about it, what do people recommend? I’ve done a lot of reading but seems like everyone has a different opinion. Secondary question, should I buy 5.56, 308 or 6.5CM? I have several in 5.56, and I have a bolt action 6.5CM, both are good and have different uses. Should I buy in one of the bigger boy rounds?

I have two of these : VIOFO A129 Pro Duo 4K Dual Dash Cam They work well, and record both forward and backward at the same time. I like it, but one of my vehicles (Silverado), it interferes with the brake sensors so I can't use the rare camera.

Sad really..

You are absolutely right and I’m absolutely blind for not finding that. I did look, but my eyes are not as young as they once were. Now I feel much better with this user name.

That is the only place I have seen him, so I can’t say.

If I get more cash, that’s the one I want to buy. Looks like it would be a great skinner knife.

Prices are reasonable, for example the last image in the first post is $130. . . And has been sold.
