  1. It probably been beat into most of our heads in the military, 2 is 1 and 1 is none.
  2. I personally put value on usage. Less usage to be exact. I look for newer less beat to hell guns without the fancy dodads that we all put on our stuff. The gun is for sale, not the pink grip and furred dice scope.Just because you have a scope that was sought after during the first depression doesn’t mean your 400 gun is worth 1400 now. That is me and I know others put fancy do dads on with the thinking it raises the value but those dodads are good for you and maybe not for a potential buyer. I’ve learned that the hard way with an AK that I have well over 5k in. People like what we like and don’t always want to pay for what you like. As others have said, some of the stuff here is priced comical. EVERYONE and exactly every single person I have dealt with have been good honest people. A few have become regular contacts in this world. Grain of salt buddy.
  3. I don’t have what Mr Ray has or I would be claiming single. I do have a brand new front to back BCM AR that hasn’t been fired. I think it is the best in class rifle and can’t bear to soil it. The others I have, I beat like they owe me money on mortgage day. Now that I am finally on my property and able to shoot out the back door in my underwear. Which IS normal!!! Anything is worth only what someone is willing to pay for it. If you think it’s too high then you’re not interested.
  4. Take her to Gunny’s in Maryville. They have a woman’s shooting class. They shoot several different guns in the class. My wife ended up buying a Glock 44 (22lr) because she really liked it and that’s was her favorite that she shot in the class. I then bought her a PROMAG 18rnd mag for it with Federal Punch ammo. She carries it in her purse and I hope she never needs to use it. I guess it’s better than a rock! But she made the decision even though I begged for at least a 380.
  5. I wouldn’t have expected anything else. It’s all democracy until they lose then they claim this or that. Mostly this and that IS democracy! Majority wins. That’s it that’s all. If my side don’t win this time around then I need to get out and talk to more people who believe differently! I need to explain thing the way I see them. Try and win over more support. I thought that was democracy at its core! The Tennessee 3 was booted for acting like children because they didn’t get their way. Then cry racist. I get that they want gun control instead of teaching their kids right from wrong, but if you don’t have the support of the people then you need to talk to more people who think differently. WTF am I missing? Is my thoughts of democracy really different from reality?
  6. Have you ever started down a road and knew where you were going to end up and you knew you weren’t going to be happy but just threw money at it until you finished? This is my AK story and hopefully sales pitch for what I believe is the ultimate AK. Every bit of the parts and labor build is documented. Showing it was built by a highly qualified smith here in East Tennessee. Rifle started out as a polymer furnitured VSKA AKM. Pretty plain but it worked. AR style buffer tube and stock, US Palm grip, single metal mag. That’s it and that’s all. The only part that is still VSKA is the receiver alone. First purchase was to make it more reliable/durable etc. Upgraded trunion, barrel, bolt and bolt handle, gas block & tube, enhanced safety selector, ribbed dust cover. All from Soviet Arms aka PSA. Was told it is the best USA made AK parts. Klashnikov USA (CMMG)“drop in” trigger. 2-2.5lbs pull weight. Midwest Industies ALPHA front rail system and side mounted optic rail and optic rail mount. Lantac Drakon muzzle brake Magpul Zukov folding stock, grip, MS1 sling. BCM fore grip Aimpoint ACO red dot and Aimpoint 3X magnifier with both flip mount and a twist mount. 10-30rnd Magpul mags 1-20rnd Magpul mag. overall I spent a stupid 3871.32 on an AK. I know that’s stupid! As far as I went it, I knew it would never feel and compete with any AR. I also know when you build or put together any rifle you never get your money back unless you build for a specific person. Im not trying to make money or get over, just trying to get what seems to be fair. If not let me know with a reasonable offer. I have about 1000-1100 rounds of boxed 7.62x39mm (steal and brass cases) ammo that WILL be included. Willing to trade for a decent AR platform rifle. DD,BCM,LMT, MCX,Spear etc. Double stack 9mm 1911-2011. Plus or minus cash/ammo Interested in piston rifles also. AR15s or AR10 of equal value. PSA had an M110 clone that’s interesting. Even a few of the more budget ARs could be of interest. Glocks are a plus! Cash price for rifle, mags, OEM parts and 1000 rounds of 7.62x39mm is 2K. EAST TENNESSEE KNOXVILLE area but work has me everywhere .
  7. Wanted to check here first! I recently got a really nice AR10 in a trade. Awesome little rifle in 308. Cheaply built but functions flawlessly so far with 300 rounds down the pike. The issue I have found after the fact, of course is that it is one of the 80% lowers. It is done really well. I will probably end up selling it eventually and always feel weird about selling/buying 80% stuff. I am looking for a stripped lower. I’d like to get the Aero M5 lower but will look at any legit lower. I really appreciate your help with this. I can pay cash or trade. East Tennessee area but willing to travel over to Cookeville and down to Chattanooga as I do often for work.
  8. Up for sale is an 16” upper I paid stupid money for. The Sabre line is supposed to be a higher end from them but really it’s a normal PSA upper with an ok BCG and a plastic wing Radian charging handle. Im keeping the Radian handle and BCG and muzzle device. Included and a less than 100 round upper with an ambi charging handle and basic flash hider. The upper is really decent just in my opinion not much better than a normal PSA upper. Live and learn I guess. East Tennessee area.
  9. Welcome to Gods country or the FREE side of the state! A place in Windrock may suit your needs. I cant remember the exact name but it is in Oliver Springs just outside of Knoxville.
  10. Damn it!!! I knew it was gonna happen! Not 3 hours after ordering new and paying 1200!! #### the bed!! GLWS!
  11. To the original question……Always prepping for something but never overtly planning anything. I’m not much of a runner. Not much of an evader. They will get me certainly. They will never get tired. Perhaps blisters on my pointer fingers and out of projectiles. But not tired.
  12. The ProMag magazine’s are really good. I want to say they are 18 or so rounds? After putting 300 rounds through them without any issue my wife, who absolutely LOVES her 44 now carry’s hers with 2 of the ProMag magazines. Great price for sure. I know I couldn’t sell our 44 package that is pretty close to yours for 500.00 and sleep right. Fair price with the great mags included!! GLWS
  13. A lot of variables in that question but I was told 25 years was the average lifespan on the units I got. The way I act like I'm still 25 at times makes me think closer to 15 years!
  14. I wish I hadn't just bought an 870. Really good looking shotgun sir.
  15. Id like to tell people I was a huge hero in the sandbox! How I was an Airborne Ranger and my knees got bad from so many jumps. To be honest......I was a "wheeled vehicle mechanic" I never saw combat. I never fired my rifle in a combat situation. We are all the hero's of our own story! I guess I just had bad knees !!! I blame my parents! At 44, I shouldn't have to had both knees replaced! Chin up though. It will get better. Like TGO David said, best decision I ever made. Embrace the suck. All good things have a little pain to deal with. Also.....get a shower!!!!
  16. For what it’s worth. The difference in lowers is very VERY minimal. Cheap out on the lower receiver, put good quality parts in it, and spend decent money on an upper. That’s where the magic happens! My favorite “budget” build that is reliable, durable, and go to war-able is an Aero lower and a complete BCM upper. Lower receiver don’t really matter much. PSA has them at times for 40.00.
  17. I’m 44 and I have hade both replaced. I remember wishing it could be considered “enhanced” interrogation at times. Thinking of the pain at night still makes me want to puke!! I had the left done and then when it stopped being painful, I had the right done. No idea WTF I was thinking. Basically constant throbbing pain for near 3 months. I found it helpful to keep my brain busy. I would fall asleep with the TV on or listening to the radio. Anything to keep my brain busy. Careful be really careful on the opiate pain meds. I used them for 2 or 3 days after and then swore off and used Alieve. Didn’t want to get an addiction!! It WILL pass though. The pain will ease. Just don’t feel like it!
