  1. I wouldn’t mind riding, but I expect I’m a pretty long ride just to get to where you guys are.
  2. Nice bikes!
  3. Get after it! Be sure and show us when you do.
  4. That takes a while....especially if you're like me and like to eat.
  5. From start to finish, I think it took about three days. There is several hours of hand stitching there. It took a lot of dye too. I’ll buy pre dyed leather if I make a pair of saddlebags.
  6. I did.
  7. Another cold weather project completed. I'm about ready for the weather to break since deer season is over.
  8. I have a neighbor who does fractal burning. I remember when he started. He took apart a microwave I think it was to get the parts to do it. I remember thinking this fool is gonna electrocute himself. He hasn't yet. I think he bought an actual machine to do it with now. Pretty neat stuff. I think your grips look better without the colored resin added.
  9. It's good stuff! I still have a case or so of it.
  10. You can carry here without a permit if you are otherwise legally able to own a handgun. Some other states offer the same, while others require a permit. If you wish to legally carry in one of those states, and they recognize a Tennessee permit, you’ll want to get one. It’s a bit more nuanced than that, but that was my best stab at a short answer. A comprehensive answer would fill a small library and changes often.
  11. I think it would be beneficial if somehow someone in management at Smith and Wesson could receive a link to this thread and read it. I’m not much into semi autos, but will never buy a new Smith and Wesson revolver as long as they insist on installing those damn locks on them. The prices being paid today for the old revolvers are an indication I’m not the only one who thinks this. I hope you get your pistol back soon and it is repaired to your satisfaction.
  12. Good one! I would have sent the wife though.
  13. Hell, if it cracks, glue it back. Life’s too short to worry over such trivial things.
  14. Freezing rain sucks. Good luck with it, guys!
  15. I love the full length stock!
  16. Should work splendidly.
  17. I do too, but this rifle and my muzzleloader gets most of the serious work.
  18. Aw hell, c’mon…let’s see her!
  19. I found a few pics of some of mine. Sure brings back some good memories. Let's see yours. 1993 Dodge D250. Only new vehicle I ever bought. 1979 AMF Harley Davidson Sportster. I loved this bike. The girls did too! 1967 Chevy II Nova. My ride through most of high school. Sure wish I had it back. 1971 Plymouth Barracuda. 60k original miles. My first car. Bought it when I was 14. I sure wish I had this back, but you just can't keep em all.
  20. Here's mine. A Winchester Model 70 Featherweight Classic in 280 Remington. It's killed a LOT of deer since I bought it 30+ years ago. Show me yours.
  21. Have mercy! That thing looks like they just made it. The crispness of the stampings tells me it hasn't been refinished.Wow!
  22. When you mold a holster, you wet it first. After it's molded to a gun, you allow it to dry. It will shrink a bit during the drying process, making it a very tight fit when new. I've never had one tight enough you couldn't put a gun in it at all. Looking at your picture again, it appears to me the boning (molding) around the top of the grip is substantially higher than the top of the grip of your pistol. I suspect that holster was made for a different gun. I guess that could have been done to clear an oversized ambi safety? Your Sig wouldn't happen to have an accessory rail under the dust cover would it? That might be the problem.
  23. No, that isn't good. Unless you can use some force and cram it in there to where it should go, you probably want to take it back where you bought it.
  24. That’s how the sights were designed to be regulated. The front sight is made tall. Pick your load and file to correct height. I always liked the speed loaders for loading loose powder in the field. They also hold your projectile and cap as well. https://www.midwayusa.com/product/1015808136?pid=361345 Round balls are great for plinking and target shooting, but I feel an expanding, conical projectile is superior for deer hunting. Something like a lead Great Plains bullet or even a pistol bullet and sabot.
  25. I imagine antiseize will work, but it’s a mess if you aren’t careful. A light coat of grease on the threads will allow easy removal.
