  1. We don’t seem to have a problem paying for all manners of other crap.
  2. That’s my position. If you can’t be trusted around guns, you should not be trusted around public.
  3. Mt Juliet is no different.
  4. I stopped in there today. Looks like supplies are trending back toward somewhat normal. They have some primers, but not all brands/types. They have a pretty good selection of powders, but not much in Alliant. It would be a good time to stock up if you’re running low on anything. Who knows what this war will turn out to be, but I bet it won’t help future availability.
  5. It is. I’ve noticed that some of the poorer communities also have high gas prices.
  6. I knew there were state and federal gas taxes. I was unsure about local. Several years ago, my little hometown had the cheapest gas prices around. They’ve crept up in the last few years to where Gallatin, Lebanon, and Cookeville are all 20-30 cents cheaper. That sorta makes sense, as you’d be hard pressed to haul a tanker of gasoline here without going through one of these towns. I’ve never really been able to make sense of it. I suppose they simply charge what the market will bear.
  7. Please don’t make this political! You guys in Franklin are getting hosed! $3.79 seemed to be the prevailing price there yesterday. On the way home, I filled up in Hendersonville for $2.88. Is this variance due to local tax differences or what?
  8. Yeah. I still don’t get that one. I guess that’s why I’m not running an NFL team.
  9. 1911
  10. I don’t really understand this. I guess we’ll see.
  11. Of course I do. You ever just get curious?
  12. If I wanted to reliably kill a white tail deer with a 556 AR, what projectile would you recommend?
  13. That is a dandy combination! I hope you reload.
  14. You see this a lot of years at UT. Ton of talent; zero discipline. Gotta say I enjoyed the game.
  15. I take solace in the fact Vanderbilt is very unlikely to lose today.
  16. I reckon I’m still unsure what “shall not be infringed” means.
  17. I just googled haggis. Looks like you guys are more than welcome to my part!
  18. And a really good price!
  19. Sheep will pull grass out of the ground, including the roots, like a horse. I guess that’s ok if you have a 5 acre mini farm and enjoy reseeding often. I believe friend mis-informed you on this.
  20. …On the count of three…
  21. Groundhog….it’s what’s fer dinner!
  22. I’ve always wanted to try snapping turtle, but after seeing what their jaws could do to a stick, I just haven’t had the courage to get close enough to one to eat it. I wouldn’t know how to get it out of the shell anyway.
  23. https://www.thefirearmblog.com/blog/2021/10/10/tfb-armorers-bench-understanding-auto-5-friction-ring-orientation/ I assume the Model 11 uses the same friction ring setup as the Browning A5. If so, these rings, properly mated to the load you are shooting, can help mitigate the excessive recoil. I expect you already know this, but maybe it'll help someone.
  24. I marinated these in olive oil, garlic, rosemary, sea salt and coarse ground black pepper, then grilled to med rare. I believe the fresh rosemary is what really made it work.
  25. You’re not supposed to. That’s what makes it special.
