  1. Just wanted to put in an update where I’m at. Hopefully everyone has filed a proof of claim, although I highly doubt we will see anything close to what we are owed, if anything at all. I very much recommend trying to get a refund through your bank/credit card company before the bankruptcy is final. I am working with mine even though it’s well past 60 days. Probably the only way at this point I’ll see my money again. On another note, I found a recording of the 341 meeting. Lengthy but worth the listen I think if you want an idea of what happened and why. Here is the link https://www.ncmba.uscourts.gov/recordings/341_23_01_20_C7_WS_2.mp3
  2. Contacted the Case manager to see if I was on the list of creditors and if I needed to file anything. She advised that I am on the list, but currently do not need to file a proof of claim. If and when it comes to it, the court will send out notifications and it will be completed online. Some more interesting information, apparently there is a new trustee as the previous had a conflict of interest. The trustee is still going through everything to see what if any assets there are to be liquidated. The lawyer they hired is supposed to be top notch. To give a scope of the issue, I was told there are 161 pages of creditors (more people like us). So apparently this is just the beginning and its going to take a long time. Is there anyone reading this from NC? There is a 341 meeting on January 20th (from what I know) that is open to attendance from my understanding. I would be nice if someone could attend and get info and hopefully give our side of the story if we can.
  3. Here’s those links to file complaints. Takes a minute, but is probably our best bet. https://reportfraud.ftc.gov/#/ https://stateoftennessee.formstack.com/forms/dca https://ncdoj.gov/file-a-complaint/consumer-complaint/ Gonna call the case manager today to make sure I’m on the claim list and see what I can find out. I’ll post on here any info I have.

  5. Well it is confirmed Chadley Management Inc aka. Spartan Safe filed for Chapter 7 Bankruptcy. https://www.bankruptcyobserver.com/bankruptcy-case/CHADLEY-MANAGEMENT I’m not very knowledgeable on the legality of how that affects our likelihood of getting full refunds, but I imagine there is a way for them to weasel out of repaying anything if they don’t actually own any assets to be liquidated. Which I’m sure they were renting locations, and probably the display safes were not owned by them. All of which is the likely reason for all the delays, was just time for them to get their affairs in order. So far I have contacted several law firms to try to get a class action case going. Probably won’t because the payout won’t be worth the lawyers time. I was turned down by Morgan & Morgan. I have also filed fraud complaints with TN and NC Attourney Generals, you can do this online. In addition I filed a fraud complaint with the Federal Trade Commission, also done online. I encourage any and everyone reading this to do the same, take as much action as you can, don’t take this lying down.
  6. @tinyhatmodel My story is literally the same as yours, as are many from what I can tell. I even ordered mine in March. I did use a credit card though and am trying to get the charge back. I have not thought of reporting to the FTC, but I’m going to, good idea. Other wise I have heard nothing from them. I agree we need to group together and share knowledge and stories, even if that’s to give lawyers an idea of the scale. I have been contacting law firms that do class action cases, but no luck yet. Actually talked to a consultant at Morgan and Morgan, but they declined the case.
