  5. Great facility, great people, great match. See you next time.
  6. North Tennessee Practical Shooters is back in the saddle after a brief hiatus.    Our next match will be Saturday the 21st of November at Strategic Edge Range.  Subsequent matches will be held on the 3rd Saturdays of each month.    Matches are open to all who can legally own and safely shoot handguns legal in USPSA divisions.  Membership at Strategic Edge, NTPS, and/or USPSA is encouraged, but not required.   Lots more details on our Facebook page.   HUGE thanks to everyone who has helped make this new chapter possible!
  7. Great match. Thanks to all who helped make it happen!
  8. Will there be actual stages and a match, or just practice then king-of-the-hill?   Thanks.
  9. Second gun depends on turnout but we generally have two runs each day.
  10. The North Tennessee Practical Shooters will host our monthly USPSA match this weekend, 9 & 10 May, in Dickson.  Stage setup starts at 7:00 Saturday morning.  The more help we have, the faster we complete setup, and the earlier we start shooting.    We will have 6 or 7 stages including a classifier, with roughly 130 rounds.
  11. Thanks to everyone who came out for setup.  Stages are posted here:  https://www.facebook.com/ntpsclub?_rdr
  12. The North Tennessee Practical Shooters will host a USPSA Classifier match on March 14th & 15th in Dickson.  We will have 4 or 5 classifiers plus 1 or 2 longer courses of fire.  This is a great opportunity to get an initial classification, try to get upgraded, etc.  We will post stage diagrams when we have them ready.   Setup will be this Saturday the 7th at 8:00.  Anyone who helps with setup is welcome to stay and practice.  Since classifiers are published, it is OK to practice on them.   Stay tuned for details on weather and start times for the actual match.  More info here and here.   DVC, Aaron
  13. If you're doing time bonuses anyway, why not offer the option to unpin the plate racks for more bonus time?
  14. Turns out we are canceling Sunday. This is unusual for us but the temps are forecast to be borderline dangerous. Saturday will start roughly an hour late to let things warm up a bit.
  15. NTPS will host our February match on 2/14 & 2/15.  What better way to celebrate Valentine's Day?  The match will most likely be 5 or 6 stages, including a classifier, totally around 110-130 rounds.  We will post stages to our Facebook page and linked here when the diagrams are ready.   Setup will be this Saturday 2/7, starting around 8:00.  Those who help are welcome to stay and practice afterwards so long as a club Board member is present.  We can always use the help, and it is a great way to learn about stage design and stage breakdown.    DVC, Aaron
  16. True.  But shooting in 20 degree weather is still better than doing just about anything else outdoors in 20 degree weather.  It will be something to remember fondly while we complain about the heat in August.
  17. We are testing on-line registration this month.  This is not required and you may still register on the day of the match, but we would appreciate it if you could register in advance:   https://clubs.practiscore.com/ntps-2015-january/register   Thanks, Aaron
  18. Stage diagrams are posted. https://www.facebook.com/ntpsclub See you there.
  19. There is a small sign but it is easy to miss. Youll turn off coon creek onto a gravel driveway, cross a bridge, make a bend to the right, then left, then right at the Y. The house at the address is white, two stories with an above ground pool in back, and there is a small log cabin to the left just past the bridge.
  20. You are more then welcome to come watch. Just bring eye and ear protection. I'll be running registration so stop by the trailer and introduce yourself.
