  1. I am curious, what information is being used as source material to "certify" different figures as pro 2A? As we all know, Hollywood types are notorious for making lots of money handling guns and firing lots of blanks but thinking that people shouldn't really have free access to firearms, they are obviously dangerous!
  2. This is why I am going to change out the OEM FLGR on mine to a standard length guide rod.
  3. I'm 3.
  4. Must be required by the Department of Redundancy Department.
  5. I am at work right now (Walgreens in midtown) and we have that same trio of signs posted by the front register. I checked with an officer that happened to be here and he confirmed that the sign does not apply to HCP holders. He also bemoaned the lack of clarity in the laws regarding carry and the slowness in updating the officers on current changes and the difficulty it causes them in properly enforcing the laws. I don't envy him and his brethren.
  6. Though what the stole seems silly and you wonder why someone would steal items like that it makes perfect sense to me. Items like that can be sold to mom and pop convenience stores and haji marts who will then resell them with their merchandise obtained from regular vendors. This sort of activity is not just random thievery but an ongoing criminal enterprise. Professional shoplifting rings do this type of theft/sell/resale to the tune of billions of dollars in lost merchandise to legitimate retailers every year. The markups on some items are huge just to account for the theft, condoms are a great example, a $4 box of 3 condoms costs the retailer about $1.25 but 300% markup is there to cover the massive amount of loss incurred on that item. So next time you go into Walgreens for a box of rubbers and have to have the clerk unlock the case for you, these people are why.
  7. I can live with losing Levi's. But please allow me to remain ignorant about Calvin Klein's personal politics. Those are the absolute best fitting most comfortable jeans I have ever worn. Gap comes a moderately placed second.
  8. My condolences for your family's loss.
  9. I went back and checked out the comments after your post. I made it to #22 before I had to stop. My computer was in danger of getting shot if I read anymore of that nonsense.
  10. Helluva read there.
  11. Love that show.
  12. Bloomberg's new group, "Mayors against illegal planes"
  13. I got mine in the mailbox today and the expiration date is 2/2/14 so i assume that 2/2/10 was the issue date.
  14. I am familiar with that area, not a bad one at all. It is also on our radar.
  15. WHAT?!? I CAN'T HEAR YOU, CAN YOU SPEAK UP?
  16. If you find the right mix, you could always work out a swap of more than 2 parties. I don't have the box full o' holsters yet, but I imagine I will and I like the sound of this idea.
  17. Printed on Jan 5th. In the mailbox today! WOOT!!! Pardon me, I have to make a trip to Wally World...
  18. You know, revolvers with the shrouded hammer like that have always reminded me of the hunchback of Notre Dame. Though if you are on the business end of one, I'd expect you'd find no sanctuary.
  19. Buffet never comes to Memphis.
  20. Hehe, me too.
  21. Well because I am in the process of doing some credit repair (irresponsible youth strikes again!) we are having to qualify strictly on the wife's income if we want to buy before the expiration of the tax credit. That is forcing us into the *<85k range. The plan is to buy now, stay in the house 3-5 years, do some upgrades and then sell out (hopefully) once the market improves and head to the Collierville area as that is where our personal lives are centered. We don't have any kids so this is the plan as schools are not a concern as of this moment.
  22. Capybrd, My wife and I are in that boat of not being able tp afford to move far enough east at the moment and are looking at houses in the city. That is one of the areas we are looking at. Know of any decent houses on the market near you?
  23. Are the cops in Columbia so bored that they have to make up stuff to do?
  24. ^That's what you get for having a smart dog.
