  1. First page on DDG as well, but at the bottom of the first page.
  2. Which means more time to call them.
  3. Yep. He got banned years ago and then this thread kept popping up again, and again, and again taking up a life of its own. IIRC Tanker really hated cops and used to post every single story about police misconduct he found. A good chunk of his posts disappeared in one of the Gen Politics purges. So somebody added the Tanker’s Revenge to the title and it’s still going. If I had to venture a guess it’s because “Tisas” is a very unique word so the search function works very well and always points to this one thread.
  4. I apologize as I don’t have much experience with the aftermarket slide manufacturers. I have 3 pistols with optics. My Springfield Hellcat OSP which came factory ready. My Shadow Systems War Poet which came with an optic, and a Browning HiPower which is currently with my gunsmith getting its slide milled for an optic. I’m normally not one for milling the slide, but that one is a bit of a special case. It’s gonna get a rail installed as well.
  5. And that even after the Nashville prices have gone stupid.
  6. They are the real deal and as much of technological leap as optics were on rifles. My preferences are as follows. Milled slide > plate system. Direct attachment allows for a lower profile and a more solid mounting. Either purchase a new, precut slide, or whole new gun designed for the optic you want. If you decide you don’t like it, you can put the original slide back on and sell the aftermarket slide for a lower loss than a gun with a chunk missing from its OEM slide. For the optic, Trijicon RMR or Holosun. Everything else just comes up short. I have no opinion on the taller iron sights as my optics sit low enough in the slide to utilize the OEM standard sights. Only my opinion, and worth what you paid for it.
  7. I bet. Especially in the Bay Area I would imagine it’s a really, really foreign concept.
  8. I keep reading the stories of new strains that are appearing on a seemingly daily basis that are believed to be either resistant to the vaccine or are not showing up on the tests. I think folks should really start preparing themselves mentally for this never going away.
  9. I’ve shot at Stones River when I’ve visited Nashville. It’s a true public range operated by the TWRA. I like it. Here is a list of all the public ranges operated by the state. Others would have to help you with the private ranges around Nashville. https://www.tn.gov/twra/hunting/firing-ranges.html
  10. Yeah, he’s got a few million now.
  11. The wha?
  12. Once again I find myself in Nashville with some unexpected down time. I’ll be on lower Broadway initially, but if any of y’all would like to meet up, hit me up.
  13. My wife has been feeding some that took up residence at our place.
  14. Just thought I’d add, the program is much larger than TN now. It’s international.
  15. Her husband was sick the first time, and Covid the second time. Biden’s team has already approached her about it and she turned it down to avoid the appearance of “doing politics”. So the answer to the question you posed? It is Yes.
  16. While heavily based on one, it actually isn’t. I made the same mistake when I first saw it.
  17. Nope. Has been in production continually since introduced.
  18. Savage 1907, Government Model .45 ACP
  19. My kids have all received/receive the Imagination Library books. They look forward to and love those books. They’re each going to have those sets saved and given back to them when they bless us with grandchildren (when they’re grown ass, married, adults.) Dolly would get their votes too. This conversation reminded me that I had been planning to make a donation to the Imagination Library. You have the ability to direct it to your local affiliate, so Crockett just got some more money in its fund.
  20. It’s all right. Everyone is entitled to be wrong.
  21. Once again, Dolly proves that she’s likely the best human being currently on the planet https://www.forbes.com/sites/carlieporterfield/2021/02/18/dolly-parton-declines-proposal-to-build-a-statue-of-her-on-the-tennessee-capitol-grounds/ This is borderline political, but I think it is neutral enough to pass muster.
  22. I love the low key FJ flex.
