  1. Would you recommend that brace on a rig similar to that? Does it feel balanced? very nice setup.
  2. Your mileage might vary on noise problems but personally I’ve not encountered a problem in any of the smaller cities/town (sub 10k pop).
  3. @TN_Raven Apologizes if I incited fear, was not my intention. Thankfully the safe technician side of locksmithing doesn’t get the same clout as picking locks on social media. As they say, locks only keep honest men out. I still recommend anything is better than nothing. The safe you linked looks more than reasonable and sounds like it accommodates your needs. I’ve not attacked that specific keypad before so I can’t speak to the exploits exactly nor would I publicly give a walkthrough. As far as digital locks on safes, DeviantOllam has a great YT video up on switching your digital to a mechanical….it’s not complicated.
  4. I’m not sure what states you’re comparing TN to but with the exception of out west, I’d say we do rely on shooting on private land in TN. The nice thing is many people offer this opportunity to friends and neighbors. I’ve shot on neighbors land every city/town I’ve lived in throughout TN and with the 4th of July coming up, it’s a prime opportunity.
  5. Sweet piece of history!
  6. Wife’s Cherokee Purple are doing great this year. Definitely a favorite and plenty flavorful. I think the rule of thumb is grow your own. They’re really easy to grow, they’re essentially weeds.
  7. Been working with him right at 1yr. Successful tracking with single article out to 3km on 3hr old track. Recently taught a breach command in which he’ll open a door and search the room. I’m trying to expand his breach to searching the whole house but he doesn’t quite get that yet.
  8. Purchase a safe you can easily replace the lock mechanism in as well as securely bolt to the floor. You can always build out the exterior of a safe to aid in security. I’ve taught safe manipulation for 8yrs and been a tech for two decades. Any safe is drastically better than no safe. Digital keypads can be unlocked with ketchup packets, we have kits that use ultrasound gel and a battery that pop the lock in seconds. Fire ratings matter but only if certified. Insurance policy would be my number one priority.
  9. 2nd the DeSantis Nemesis. It’s an easy carry and draw in most situations.
  10. Moved back to TN after a 20yr hiatus and am getting readjusted to the more publicly accessible firearm community. Lived in the forests of the PNW for a while and while it’s easy to disappear it was a legal circus if you wanted to add to a collection.
