  1. Anyone know anything about it? I picked it up used at Guns and Leather today, and while it shoots great, I can't find much info on the internet about it. Is custom work required to mount an optic? I did read that the Beretta Neos uses the same magazine. Anyone know if that's true? It would be much better to pay 9 bucks a mag instead of 40 or 50. Some quick pictures by request:
  2. I read on Wikipedia about IDPA and I'm intrigued. Could I compete with a Smith M645? Holds 8+1 .45. Would I need to buy a holster for it?
  3. Believe me, I'm not trying to find a target here. I don't think I need to eradicate every living thing with my .22. I will try to borrow a friends zoom and see if I can get a decent pic.
  4. The sights are pretty crappy on the Skeeter. I shot better with a Beretta Neos, Ruger Mark III, and SW 22A. Then again, I wasn't clearing a malfunction every two seconds with the last 3 pistols. Frustration makes you shoot pretty bad too.
  5. Perhaps. I haven't seen any burrows around here, and this little guy will run around rather than go underground. When I pulled up a few minutes ago, he ran to my house and then ran back to the stream after I started walking to my front door. I just looked outside and he's hanging around on my driveway, just sitting in the shade of a tree. I need to get a picture...
  6. Cool Springs Wal-Mart had about 10 boxes of 100 wwb .45 ACP, although it's limit 1 per person. Other sundry calibers available include .357 sig, 25 ACP, 22 lr in Federal Bulk packs, .223 Remington bulk packs, a few boxes of .40 sw The Cool Springs Academy still had Monarch .45 for 18 a box.
  7. The past few times I've pulled into my driveway, I've noticed a small furry animal scurrying off into the bushes near a small stream. It looks an awful lot like a beaver, as it's sort of chubby looking and small, but it doesn't have a flat tail. It's more like a puff of fur on it's butt, like a rabbit. Anyone have any ideas as to what it is and whether it's a pest of some sort? It definitely isn't a rabbit, nor a squirrel. I live near Radnor Lake, if that helps.
  8. I will gladly pay you Tuesday for some .380 ACP today
  9. So technically security guards don't need HCPs to go armed on private property, ie a mall? Interesting.
  10. Still can't find .45 either. Where'd you find it?
  11. All clear signs that the ammo shortage is easing. I cannot wait until I can just hit the wal-mart for ammo right before the range and expect to be happy.
  12. May be true, but I started checking it out after an errand for some bottled water turned into a 9mm bonanza. Got in there when they had a fresh shipment of 200 boxes of Blazer 9mm and 100 of .40. I will have to start checking the OHB WM for .380. I need some badly. I want to go shooting this weekend.
  13. Sounds good! Time to slip the loaded mags back into the pistols. Thanks again
  14. I do not have a HCP yet. I know when I go to the gun range, I have to keep my guns unloaded in the trunk and the ammo in the backseat. How about in the house? I overheard someone saying that if you do not have a HCP, you need to keep ammo separate from firearms in the house as well. Is this true? Nothing is more useless than an unloaded firearm, but if that's the law, that would be good to know. Thanks in advance.
  15. Shouldn't Colt Mustang grips fit the P238? I know the magazines are interchangeable.
  16. Doh...I checked out the WM on Harding, but I gave up before I hit the one on OHB.
  17. Since the .380 that I was shooting from you guys, guess I'll have to start hunting at Wal-Marts for some WWB .380.
  18. Any FTE? I had a couple with my first 50 rounds (Magtech target) through.
  19. Wal-Mart on Harding place had 200 boxes of 9mm last week. Took about 5 days for them to sell out. I think the ammo shortage is becoming history.
  20. Which Wal-Mart? I've been stalking ammo at a few local Wal-Marts, but I can only find 9mm and .40. The employees have said that they haven't been getting any .380 or .45 lately.
  21. When I googled Sig P238, I just found a lot of people griping about the looks and the fact that it's SAO. It's a really sweet shooter. I wish .380 ammo was more common, because I'd go to the range tomorrow if I had the ammo. I got mine from Guns and Leather (great place BTW), and I was rationed a box of target .380. Blew threw it in about 10 minutes. Again, just wish I had more ammo.
  22. I picked up a P238 yesterday. Love the trigger and feel of the pistol, but I had a few FTE. Probably needs to be broken in more, but it had FTE issues with Magtech and Hornady 95 gr premium defense ammo. I don't understand all of the internet hate being poured on the P238...once you hold one and shoot one, you'll be sold too. The recoil is almost nonexistant, and the trigger is smooth as butter.
