  1. Sounds good. Thanks. Hope to return in a week with a bull elk.
  2. I'm driving to Colorado via KY, IL, MO, KS, then CO. Making sure I'm current here- with my HCP, I'm good to carry (concealed) everywhere but Illinois?
  3. A lot of meat and an easy retrieval. Can't beat that.
  4. Just aging on the hoof. He is mature definitely. Whether 3 1/2 or 4 1/2, I'm not sure.
  5. Davidson County: This was a stalk; I crawled up a fence row til I was at 42 yards. 3 1/2 years old and 132"
  6. I've had issues with lint getting in mine from keeping it in my pocket. When this happens, the blade makes it 1/2 or 3/4 the way out before it stops. If you can get the blade to come all the way out by pulling on it, you can then use the button to pull it back in. From there, blow compressed air in the slot to blast out the junk.
  7. Hevi-13 3 1/2" #5 is what I use with my 870 Express. Lots of people get great results with these.
  8. Thanks very much. How do you clean the barrel/gas tube and everything under the tube?
  9. What tube is this? Is this a rifle length over a low-profile gas block?
  10. agreed. OP- this is a good link. I won't take credit for this. BSK at tndeer forums is very knowledgeable and put together this very thorough and informative post: Tennessee Deer Talk: Field-judging buck age examples
  11. 11/9/08, 9:30 am, muzzleloader 4 1/2 y.o., 207 lbs., 24 1/4" main beam, 19" outside spread, 7 points and a 1" kicker off the brow tine. Heart shot, he ran into a thicket, and I heard him crash probably 4 seconds after the shot.
  12. Foster Butt Taxidermy in Madison
  13. thanks a lot - there are a few LC Smith auctions there now - all 12 ga.
  14. Thanks a lot. I would not say that the condition was Excellent, maybe Good, but I'm a newbie to this sort of thing anyway. I will have no opportunity to use it really, so I'll end up listing it for sale, I'm sure.
