  1. 1209 Park, if memory serves. I'm thinking of going. Haven't been there in a while. Might try to trade or sell off a pistol.
  2. Would like a good, nice looking 22/22wmr revolver. Just not sure this is it. I have to agree with LngRngShtr though, it's hard to beat a Smith 617. But too many other toys in line ahead to spend the normal asking prices I see on the 617's offerred for sale lately.
  3. This weekend, Saturday and Sunday, June 18/19. Google gun shows for lists. 1209 Park Avenue.
  4. Really? Then that's a plus for Goodman shows.
  5. Add Nationwide Insurance commercials to the list.
  6. Best thing in it was when his 1000000 lumen light fell off and the daylight shut off.
  7. Boomstick is correct. Drove thru Hermitage just a few minutes ago heading to my vet and looked over to check the name for you. But you already knew that.
  8. Personal opinion. Probably another part of our mayor's plan to destroy any and all parts of the fairground operations so he can sell off the property and make money for he and his friends.
  9. Sorry don't remember the name. Getting old and forgetful.
  10. I believe that theatre closed several years ago. Actually quite a long time ago.
  11. Yea, auctions can be very vexing. I gave up on going to them some time ago. Any good deals are usually worked out in advance and the mediocre stuff seems to go 30-50% higher than it should.
  12. In reference to the last few posts about the PPS; I have a PPS 40 with 6 rond mags. The size is dang near perfect. I fits in one of several cheap generic best slides I've had for years. The trigger is pretty good too. A little long for my taste, but smooth as silk. However...the 40 is harsh, very harsh. An all polymer gun with a barrel insert has absolutely nothing to tame the 40's power. I found it decidedly unpleasant to shoot and will very likely try sell or trade it off nest week in Murfreesboro. I'd still like to try this in a 9mm. I think that it should be comparable to the PF9/11 and be managable enough to use as a carry. Still wouldn't ever be a fun range gun, but would be acceptable.
  13. A big +1 for LCP for discrete pocket carry. I won't comment on the LC9 except to say that I don't like the price or the feel of the gun. As far as the PPS, I'd like to try a 9mm version. I have, for a short time longer, a PPS 40. The size is good for pocket or belt carry. But...it's a very hard hiting shooter. Felt like shooting full-load 357 rounds out of an airweight or lighter revolver. However, as with all things...your opinion may vary.
  14. I believe that the id for the right gun as a Neos is correct. Is it possible the one on the left is an older Ruger P85? Just my guess. It aint ugly enough to be a Highpoint.
  15. Great call. How could I possibly forget about Bart Durham?
  16. Probably wouldn't help very much...rats can swim.
  17. Hey, lets leave Huey Lewis out of this. Just because he's a rotten actor is no rason to drag his name into this quagmire.
  18. Is that what's known as a "hot ass"? I usually wear shorts to the range this time of the year and the other day I was at G&L in Greenbriar sighting in the optics on a 22/45. So I'm sitting in a chair with the Ruger resting a on a sandbag and gun but on the table. Been bouncing casings off the wall for about ten minutes and just about satisfied with the poa and poi at about 50 feet. So I popped of a string of shot pretty quick and bounced a hot casing like a 2-rail bank shot. Off the wall onto the shelf and right into the leg of my baggy shorts. Let me tell you...it seems to take forever for an old fat man to get up out of a chair when leaning over a shooting rest. Them little 22 cases are Hot.
  19. Maybe we can talk about it some time. I've been known to sell a gun or two on occasion.
  20. Cmon say what you really mean, you sissified pansie.'
  21. That's a great looking rifle. I might even trade you your old FN 40 Hipower for that.
  22. Just saw one of those today. It looks even better in person than in the picture.
  23. Serious or scarcastic? I just gave my opinion. As far as the Partisan, shooting it side by side with PMC, Blazer, and Magtech...the Partisan seemed to me to have more felt recoil and produced a louder bang than the others. Scientific testing? No. My real world use, yes. As far as the Hydashocks; I had Federal 90Gr JHP and several boxes of Blazer 88 gr JHP and fired them into Nashville phone books, 2 by the way, taped together from a distance of about 10 feet. Neither round went thru even the first book. Both stoped may 2/3 thru. Didn't see an real differences in penetration between them. Again, scientific...no. But that's what I saw from these rounds. And at the cost of 380 ammo when this was done, I didn't go any further. I keep a LCP loaded with Hydashocks when I carry it, and my old Keltec is in my wife's purse with alternating fmj and jhp. No, not a great defensive load, but that's all she feels comfortable shoot with hand/wrist issues. For me G19, Lcp bug, and XD9 Tactical in the bedroom til I get to something more potent.
  24. Sorry, Raoul. But I thought this was more interesting than the op's ravings.
