  1. Sorry, Raoul. But I thought this was more interesting than the op's ravings.
  2. I don't really know or care what this is all about. But I was attracted and repulsed at the same time watching some of the GayArmy clips. At least something somewhat interesting come out of my checking this thread. I found a clip to send to a guy that used to work in the same office I did. Always knew he was an effinate gay guy, but then found out thru the office gossip that he was a member of the Nashville Bears. I think I'll send him the link to these clips. And if you don't know, I had to have it explained to me at the time. The NB is a group of large, hairy, gay guys. There was even a short article done on them several years ago in the Nashville Scene I believe. Ina way, the guys in this film reminded me of them. Except these guys are skinny.
  3. Maybe a groundswell movement to change the constitution so Shatner/Kirk could run. A lot of talk was put forth for Arnold the Austrain a few years back. Who knows...
  4. I Have used the hydrashocks in my LCP and they seem fine. For fmj, I use Prvy Partisan. It's a good load and seems to be loaded a little hotter than domestic 380.
  5. Good choice. Not my favorite, but I do have a stainess 4'' 66 I picked up several years ago at Eastside and it's pretty good. And I sure don't intend to let it get away from me.
  6. Loved it when I was watching the show and it still is great. Denny Crane for President!
  7. Hey, the truck looks great. It's evident where your playtime money, and probably a lot that wasn't, has been going. At least it's been well spent.

    Range Report

Not a great choice for ccw, but ususally have an LCP on belt or in pocket. Just picked up a Walther PPS in 40. Really like the size, it's very close to the PF-9 and fits in a belt slide I have easily and doesn't show under an untucked shirt. And at my size and weight, I'm usually untucked, so it works well in that respect. Yes the 40 is a bit snappy in the polymer frame, but not impossibly so to cause reluctance to shoot on my part. I still find myself ocassionally going back to a PT-145. It's really just a little wider than the PPS and really easier to shoot. Plus has 10+1 rounds instead of 6+1 for carry. I guess in reality, depending on where I go and how I dress...it's the lcp or PT for usuall circumstance. I've been trying out the XD9sc and a Glock 19 as well, but no decision yet. If I were really attuned and accustomed to 1911 carry, which I'm not; I'd have to go with my Springer 4" Loaded Operator. Good size and weight, plus accurate andcomfortable to shoot. But I've been so into no manual safety guns for so long, I figuued that I was too old and set in my ways to change comfortably.

    Range Report

Thanks for posting your report. I'd have to agree with all your assesments, especially the part about age and eyesight And very glad to hear about your satisfaction with the Sig 45'sand the PMR-30. Been cosidering both and that just makes the decision a little easier. Sorry to say that I'd give the Bodyguard even worse marks than you. I just flat-out hated it. Awkward and unplesant to shoot. Pretty much the same said for the PF-9. Sold mine almost immediately after purchase. And so did father-in-law.
  10. Officers Model size--Wilson Combat P/N OX 7 rounds '' '' '' '' --Chip McCormick Part#14120 7 rounds. I have a Colt Officers and these work in it. Hope this helps.
  11. I think it's all a matter of perspective. If you like a 22 or a 22 mag...just shoot it. For whatever purpose you deem best for you...carry, sport hunting or range use. No debate over which caliber or gun is better. And I'm not trying to go there. Just saying that it's no more unreasonable to like, own, and shoot this than any other caliber.
  12. ... Unless I have a breakdown, I plan to keep this one, but you know how it is with us gun collectors... There's alway another one to drool over eventually. Amen, brother. I just had to have the Beretta Storm 45 SD. Put a couple hundred rounds downrange and now thinking of moving it to finance something else. Just never satisfied.
  13. I disagree. It's not too expensive to shoot. You choose not to shoot it. Probably because you are still thinking of it as a 22. I just bought 4 boxes of CCI at Wally's. 9.97 per box plus tax and their ammo fee. Seems pretty comparable to 9mm to me. 50 rounds of decent 9mm usually run at roughly 10+. That seems pretty much the same to me. Not trying to be a hardcase about it. But I hear this all the time and it's just not true. Yes, 50 rounds of 22mag is more expensive than 50 of 22lr, usually about double. But comparing price, quantity, and caliber on an even basis, it's just another caliber to accept the price on and shoot.
  14. Buddy, you're almost as bad as me. Buy one, sell one, buy another one , maybe two more. Anyway, congrats on the sig. I've had a 229 since the late 80's. I took my ccw class with it back then. Sorry to say it hasn't seen much action the last few years. It's just a bit heavy these days. But a really good firearm.
  15. Yeah, being back is great...But really hate seeing the business moving out of state.
  16. Beautiful Pistol! I've been wanting a SP101. And that really looks like the one. Can I babysit for a few years? Hmmm?
  17. You're just trying to cause a ruckus, aren't you? Man, that's a really hard question for me, and I'd say many here; to awnser. Handgun? Revolver? Auto? Rifle? Shotgun? Way, way too many choices. And what criteria to judge on? Accuracy? Comfort? Caliber? What use? Carry/Range/HD/Hunting? About all I could do would be to list several favorites. To pick the single best firearm would be practically impossible for me. Maybe a Colt Python and S&W Model 66 for the revolvers. A Browning Hipower of course for the autolaoder. But would have to have an XD9sc or G19, and a good 1911. And that's even harder to pick for me. Maybe someone else here can do it. Not me.

    Cheese

    It already does.
  19. Very sorry. But as you can see...I must comment on this. PHHfffttt!

    Cheese

Probably the safest place for them to sit. Those cheese fogs travel low to the ground and can be lethal.
  21. This is absolutely georgeous! I'm beginning to see why my brother-in-law likes your work.
  22. Chad, you're killing me! Your guns just keep getting better looking with each one I see. I may just have to start selling some stuff so I can have one.
  23. What kind of propellent cartridges does it use. In the pic, it looks almost like CO2 for a pellet gun.
  24. I was pretty sure that was the case after watching and listening to several of the videos. But they are still interesting and fun to see some more unusual weapons that many of us, at least me, haven't seen.
  25. +1 for Belgian Hipower. Also take a look at the Browning BDM. Real good shooting pistols. Just hard to get magazines for.
