If parents know you are going to be on the real hook for their kids actions, I bet they would do more to make sure their kids don’t do them through better parenting. They aren’t throwing parents in jail for their kids stealing a candy bar. Shoot a bunch of people, that’s a different matter. Or you would really need to show you did everything you could to prevent it. I think we are talking about egregious actions here. Not trivial crimes. I’m ok with agreeing to disagree.

I’m ok with it. Parents need to be held accountable. As mentioned it will be selective prosecution, but parents need to take more responsibility.

Decided I don’t mind splitting up the scope and rifle if it makes a difference. Original post updated.

I tried the same thing with an old house on my property. They wouldn’t do it due to asbestos in the floors but said if I removed the floors they would do it. I have a barn similar to yours I wouldn’t mind taking down as well. Good luck finding someone.

Make them get a bond of some sort. It will very quickly separate those truly interested. Make it enough to hire someone to finish it and clean it up. Or see if you can get the fire dept to burn it and then clean up the metal yourself.

Not fancy, but cheap and have held up well. I like being able to switch colors. I like that the fact they aren’t a fabric or metal. Clean up easy as well and don’t hold water. The black allows you to where it with anything. https://a.co/d/b1KccKZ

SPM CMP US etched Winchester 52D with J.W. Fecker scope. I am fairly sure it is an 8X, but these weren't marked with a power. It isn't less than 8X. Scope is clear and cross hairs are really good. It shows some discoloration due to it's age but still in really nice shape (Fecker stopped producing scopes in the 50's). These are precursors to the Unertl's and were what the Unertl's were based off of. Stock was cleaned up and has been redone, but it still has some of it's original dings, etc. Metal has typical marks as almost all CMP guns do. Shoots good. I just got a couple more 52's so moving this one $Sold firm for rifle and scope. Will sell separate. Meet within a reasonable (30 min) distance of Chapel Hill.

Must watch movie/television recommendations & interesting shows

True Detective Season 1. I don’t know how I didn’t watch it when it first came out (2014). Seasons 2 and 3 weren’t as good. Just started season 4. I have heard good things about it. Each season is different stories and different actors. -
I did find the original Hogue grips and the bag/instructions from the Ahrends grips that will be included.
-
Thanks to @FUJIMO for pointing this out. I do have the original rear white outline site if someone wants to take the scope off (after they buy it ).

Nice condition gloss Leupold 6x. Great for those classic blued hunting rifles. Clear and crisp. The bells don't have scratches on them, it's just the light reflections. $300. Meet around Chapel Hill/Franklin/Columbia/Murfreesboro.

More Cleanout. Kestrel 4500 NV with Bluetooth. Comes with the Kestrel tripod, wind vane, etc in the carrying case. $250. Meet somewhere around Chapel Hill/Franklin/Columbia/Murfreesboro.

More downsizing. Excellent condition 6" 648-2. I thought I had the box, but apparently not. Ahrends cocobolo grips. You can't get them anymore and they are very expensive to buy them now. Most I see are in the $250 range I am pretty sure I have the original Hogue's here that I will include if I can find them. I won't separate the Ahrends grips from the pistol. $1000. Meet within a reasonable distance (30 min) of Chapel Hill.

That seems like a hell of a deal to me. Just don’t need another.

Things the next generation simply won't understand

You see these in Europe quite often still today. Our office still has them. They are considered more environmentally friendly. -
