  2. ...so why can’t I print the recommended private sale document? In fact I can’t even open it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. A possibility is the Rossi Matched Pair... http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.aspx?Item=467023939
  4. I have up Comcast Internet to move from Nashville to Shelbyville area, and have no cable available here. Could get one of the satellite services but haven't. Off air or DVDs. Had HughesNet Internet satellite service for several years. Recently changed from that to a local wireless provider who put a tower across the road from me. Much better! Did not watch a single bowl game. Of the thirty or so only four were not on ESPN so I didn't bother. Didn't watch much if any college football during the regular season for about the same reason.
  5. If it wasn't for the overwhelming numbers of "refuges" this wouldn't be happening. Wouldn't happen in the States. The Feds had Oklahoma and Waco and World Trade Center cleaned up before evidence gathering was done.
  6. Better than giving vets what Congress has, give Congress what the vets have.
  7. A young cowboy from Montana goes off to college. Half way through the semester, having foolishly squandered all his money .... he calls home. "Dad," he says, "You won't believe what modern education is developing! They actually have a program here in Alabama that will teach our dog, Ole' Blue how to talk!" "That's amazing," his Dad says. "How do I get Ole' Blue in that program?" "Just send him down here with $1,000" the young cowboy says "and I'll get him in the course." So, his father sends the dog and $1,000. About two-thirds of the way through the semester the money again runs out. The boy calls home. "So how's Ole' Blue doing son?" his father asks. "Awesome, Dad, he's talking up a storm," he says, "but you just won't believe this -- they've had such good results they have started to teach the animals how to read!" "Read!?" says his father, "No kidding! How do we get Blue in that program?" "Just send $2,500, I'll get him in the class." The money promptly arrives. But our hero has a problem. At the end of the year, his father will find out the dog can neither talk, nor read. So he shoots the dog. When he arrives home at the end of the year, his father is all excited. "Where's Ole' Blue? I just can't wait to see him read something and talk!" "Dad," the boy says, "I have some grim news. Yesterday morning, just before we left to drive home, Ole' Blue was in the living room, kicked back in the recliner, reading the Wall Street Journal, like he usually does". "Then Ole' Blue turned to me and asked, so, is your daddy still messing around with that little redhead who lives down the street?" The father went white and exclaimed, "I hope you shot that lying dog before he talks to your Mother!" "I sure did, Dad!" "That's my boy!" The kid went on to law school, and now serves in Washington D.C. as a Congressman.
  8. FWIW, I use "Saddle Shop" in Triune corner of state 96 and US 31A/41A. $30 plus sales tax and including the $10 state fee.
  9. Couldn't find a better place, so here it is. Looking on eBay at "adult" air guns. Reading through the "no we can't ship to..." I saw all the usual suspects PLUS Johnson City TN. What's with that? Look at the Description on this eBay listing to see the details. http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&alt=web&id=400724032965 Gamo Silent Stalker Whisper .22 Cal W/ 3-9X40 + Pba Platinu
  10. Saddle Shop in Triune (corner of 96 and 41a)
  11. In that case a southpaw edition should be forthcoming shortly.
  12. Seems like someone in the greater Nashville area finally got charges dismissed after having been arrested for doing this v
  13. When it does fire, what do the firing pin impressions on the primers look like? Pin could have been damaged or ground short for some reason. Is the area through which the firing pin moves clean? Could have a buildup of hardened oil or grease or powder residue.
  14. Last Goodman show I went to was several years ago (100 mile round trip for me). Anyway I had been there on a Saturday ($10 no coupons offered) and - since I was in town anyway Sunday - decided to go back for some ammunition. They would not honor the Saturday stamp. Previously that had been no issue, and the price notice on the booth did not mention that detail. Didn't pay again to get in and marked them off my list. Probably a year since I've been to a show in the 'Boro. As someone mentioned, the non-inflation the government says we have is taking its toll. (They took energy and food out of the CPI so less inflation would be reported.)
  15. You should have bought a used Metro Geo. http://ericpetersautos.com/2012/05/01/forget-hybrids-buy-a-cheapster/ Maybe you can trade the Prius and get some boot to buy back a few of the guns.
  16. And I thought the answer was "Because we are not allowed to hunt in the zoo."
  17. A search did not answer this... Who in Middle Tennessee provides legal services in connection with establishing an NFA Trust to receive and hold title to Class III weapons? At one time a site sponsor did this, as I recall, but that seems no longer to be the case. A national web site which supposedly provided links by state to providers did not help either. Thanks.
  18. If a specific room is your "dedicated workspace" -- which is really the preferred way to deduct related costs for federal income tax -- then it would seem that room iis all they could inspect under the agreement.
  19. "To be blunt, we have Mayor Haslam to vote for because 1) we had two other conservatives running for the nomination with him and 2) we have no provision in Tennessee for a run-off election whenever a candidate doesn't get at least 50% + 1 of the votes cast." For many years, the Democrats dominated the Governor's Mansion for this reason! The East Tennessee Republicans would send a candidate, as would the West Tennessee Republicans. Each Republican received his "home boy" (circa 30%) vote while the Democrats received the Middle Tennessee 40%. Winfield Dunn was the first Republican in my memory to become governor.
