  1. add a referral from Hamilton and Lincoln and youre good for a year!
  2. get ready to see more players enter the NFL draft now.
  3. Its better than carrying around an orange tipped AK.... not MUCH better, but better nonetheless....
  4. Thanks.. I called - they say they leased the place to Jack FM for the night for their Totally '80s New Year's Eve Bash which is sold out.
  5. hmm.. 10 armed valets? this might be the safest New Years venue in town! My wife wants me to take here somewhere nice. Can anyone attend the New Years event there or is it members-only?
  6. weird.. it does look pink in that pic. actually the shade is hunter green.. guess the yellow bulb makes it look like that. oh. and yea. the flying ship scares me too. There is not much gore at all. there are some intense battle scenes, people get shot by arrows and such.. but nothing too bad. The s-word makes an appearance a few times, but that is the extent of the bad language. Honestly.. this is one of those movies where my only concern with a small child would be if they can handle the intense scenes in 3D. Other than that - it should be ok for kids. (I dont have kids so take my advice with a grain of salt)
  7. the 3D Blu Ray is coming out late next year. I will definitively grab a copy of that. Should be good in my man cave!
  8. well.. i hope it was good quality. Avatar is so effects driven, watching a watered down version would really detract from it.. kinda like watching Independence Day on a cell phone - I wouldn't recommend it!
  9. If you go into a movie... any movie, looking for an agenda.. you will likely find it. This one isnt that bad imo. Its worth seeing for the sheer fun of it. This movie isnt so much anti-war as it is anti-greed. The "soldiers" depicted are corporate mercenaries, not enlisted ones of a particular country. Avatar, to me, shared similar themes as Fight Club and WALL-E. Both good movies that I have seen. Bottom line: If you hated the message/story in Dances with Wolves, you will hate Avatar. Do yourself a favor.. check your political radar at the door and have a great time at the movies.
  10. Ill take a stab at it... 1st answer: If you or a 3rd party are in fear of your life or serious injury, self defense (deadly force) can be justified. 2nd answer: no guns in alcohol selling establishments
  11. .... WOW. Unfreakingbelievable. If there ever was a "must see movie" in a theater. This is it. I recommend the 3D version.
  12. lots of good stuff here as well: Index of /~bryan/Downloads/TEOTWAWKI/Survival
  13. Instead of chewing gum, chew bacon!
  14. Mandate every citizen join a gang of their choosing. Then incorporate and regulate them. Turn them into massive community action groups, over-fund them and remove their need to raise their own capitol. Then launch a huge anti-corruption negative PR campaign against them, revoke their budget and topple them from the inside. Just a thought...
  15. so sad - I really liked her alot. She had such a unique voice and was very pretty. RIP
  16. thanks guys - the tickets have been spoken for. Merry Christmas to all!
  17. Gang - Ive got 2 tickets for this Sundays Titans game against the Dolphins at Noon. If there is a TGO Titan fan out there that would like to go to the game and would be willing to pick them up from me today or tomorrow in the Brentwood area, PM me. These are nice seats.. south end zone about 10 or so rows up from the field. There is no charge for these tickets. All I ask is that you use these tickets to cheer the team and NOT scalp/resell them. Also, these are season ticket seats, so please be respectful to those around you while at the game (I had an issue with an excessively rowdy/drunk fan in these seats before). Most of all - have fun and enjoy the game! PM me and we can work out a place to meet.
  18. I love my job. Im in sales so I get to do all kinds of different things. Today I took barbershop-quartet Christmas carolers to clients offices. That was fun!
  19. They are ugly but really cool. I have some friends that work at Nissan and they all want one. The inside was loosely designed around a jacuzzi.. so its kinda like a rolling party car. Plus its got all kinds of add-ons and electronic mods. Its like an ipod with wheels.
  20. hes got a mack-daddy reloading setup already.. one day I'll post pics of it.. It can churn out ammo on a conveyor. Anyway.. I bought him a Walther Red-Dot. Read some reviews.. didnt look too bad for what it is. Who knows - if he likes it, then maybe he can cowitness a magnifier or invest in an nicer Acog or Eotech. Regardless. it should make the range a little more fun in the meantime. Here is what I got him: Walther PS22, $55 at Midway. Enough left over to maybe get a nice sling. Thanks for the idea Mark A. Here is what it might look like mounted:
