My Maxpedition Colossus shifts around too much just walking vigorously. I've got no experience, but something like Thunderwear and a J frame seems like it would work well.

Springfield Mil-spec is reasonably priced. Mine has run flawlessly so far.

I haven't been over there. I've heard they were pretty small. I'll check them out some time.

I'd just get a DGI. I'm sure Joe would tell you the same thing too. I'm sure you can get him to build you a very nice DGI Hero-15.

I carry a Glock 23. It's been very reliable. It's nice and light, but the brick shape can be hard to conceal at times.The rear of the slide tends to make a nice corner impression through a t-shirt.

You'll also probably have a 3 to 4 month wait time between when you send off your paperwork and get you permit. Hit the range every other weekend, you should be able to get plenty of practice in.
