  1. Also, when shooting, after every 4th mag or so, grab your tool and just give it a quick twist. It will help to break things up while they are still hot to keep it from seizing up.
  2. Assuming that you could secure enough orders, you could go directly to a distributor about setting a special price for a group buy. I honestly don't think you will have much luck though. The gun is going to be hard to get for the first 6 months of its release. Because of that, distributors, are going to be sending out guns either on a first come, first served or favorable nations basis. Thats going to leave a lot of dealers waiting on stock.
  3. You would have to get with a gun shop.
  4. Mine is completely stripped. I am going to be refinishing mine but I have other projects going. It currently looks like this.
  5. Would you be willing to meet in a central location?
  6. Too late. There are already several polymer 1911s on the market.
  7. It's all metal. The black just makes it look plastic. I haven't decided if I like the black or not.
  8. Just watched the DRTV review and Mr. Bane said that Ruger is thinking about commander and officer sized models as well a lightweight aluminum frame in the future.
  9. Jeff Quinn says that Ruger told him we would see more variations down the road.
  10. Oh man this is fantastic! No billboard on it. 70 series design. Internal extractor. Novak sights. Left side only safety. Oversized ejection port and mag release. The LCI is just a visual deal cut into the barrel like the Springers. Comes with a 7 round and an 8 round mag as well as a bushing wrench and a soft case. I love this! Adjustable trigger. Its like a springer loaded from what I can tell except this one is closer to what I want since it has the single sided safety. CRAP! Just found the billboard. Its on the bottom of the frame where a rail would be on a springer operator. Doesn't bother me much but I know a lot of people will complain about it. I actually love the roll marks on both sides of the slide. Jeff Quinn already has his review up! Ruger SR1911 45 ACP Semi-Auto Pistol
  11. Call aim and talk to them. They recently replaced a rifle that split so I'm sure they will be helpful.
  12. Of course Ruger is going to deny. Michael Bane however has posted a few things that lend a little credence to the leaked pics. We will see though. And of course it won't be a Kimber. it will work out of the box and cost less.
  13. I think its funny that people are saying Ruger is late to the game but everyone was jumping for joy when Remington announced their 1911.
  14. I didn't get to shoot the M14 but it was awesome. I'll have plenty of 308 next go round!
  15. Sometimes deep in the woods! haha
  16. Indeed sir! Although the 77/22 is THE favorite 22 bolt gun in the suppressed world. If you mention integral and bolt together, the 77/22 will come up. I'd also like to point out that the SR series is priced well below the competition and at least for me, delivers the same reliability that I expect from an Austrian or Croatian plastic piece.
  17. I was under the impression that Springer was importing bare frames and assembling them here. And I think some of the higher end frames are made here. That only applies to the 1911 line though. The XD's are definitely imported.
  18. After thinking about it for a while, I don't believe that my SR9c has the billboard. Someone who has one in front of them can confirm but I'm relatively sure the billboard is only on the 22s.
  19. Clearly you missed the sarcasm in his post.
  20. I guess we only need one car manufacturer too huh? or one furniture company? Competition is never a bad thing.
  21. I shot one for the first time this weekend. It definitely ranks amongst my top ten list right now. I just need to figure out how to sell some body parts now!
  22. The mythbusters proved that cussin can help you deal with pain. I believe that the same is true with stressful situations. Cussin is HEALTHY! and gets things done.
  23. You could always call Thompson Machine and ask. Also call Hero Gear.
  24. A suggestion on a suppressor to fit your needs. Thompson Machine Isis-9. It is a take apart can. It costs a little more than the LRP that you have linked to but I think you would probably like it more. The problem right now, is that noone has tested an Isis independently yet. I expect the guys on NFAtalk to review it soon though.
  25. I can't recommend Sammy's highly enough. Its a Jewish Romanian steakhouse. Its one step away from dinner theater but it is worth every penny for the good time that you are sure to have.
